So what Android version are we on? 5.0 or 4.5?

Actually, I'm either blind and deaf, or they didn't mention the version number at all.
Which could be interesting:
- android "L" might just be called "android L" (or android Lollipop, whatever L name), without a version number.
- New OS releases will only happen once a year with a letter or codename, and 0.0.x and 0.x updates would be distributed through Google Play services.
edit: here's a photo of the "L" release feature highlights

64-bit looks interesting. It means more ram on your phone and tablets. Think 3GB is a lot? welp looks like we will be getting 4GB+

it probably just wasn't important. they don't want to call it 5.0, cause if shit in beta happens and they need to go to 5.1, they didn't promise a public release of 5.0, they promised a public release of L
What exactly is the difference between the moto360 and the LG G1?

They're might be a slightly different battery capacity from one to another but that will probably be it. It's just different styles for the most part.

Nice to hear, I personally prefer a square design

The new "L" version of contacts looks slick
[editline]Edited:[/editline]
Actually this is probably the new version of Google+ on Iphone now that i look at it again. Still interesting to see the new design language Google will be implementing.

Think of it as iOS Beta
Expect something to break
"L" contacts app
reminds me of the ios contacts app kinda. really like it though, shame i'll never see it on my s5 :(
Am I the only one here who finds Google Now(the cards) basically useless and has it turned off? I don't fly anywhere weekly, I don't commute across the middle of LA and sports scores are incredibly unimportant to me nor justification for Google Now which I would be watching the game if I wanted to.
I don't see the justification for these smartwatches unless you are someone who literally needs a handsfree phone.
I had them on for a bit but I don't like when there's notifications on my phone so having them pop up several times an hour was very frustrating. It was usually information I didn't care about.
the parking location is absolutely garbage.
i hadmy friends park my car in a parking garage, and they would wait in it while I used Google to locate it, to test out the new card.
Mega fucking dumb, i don't even want to know why I let them talk me into it. i was looking for my truck for fucking ever, they left gave me the phone with the location and yeah, took me 45 min with just my eyes. the dicks even parked next to a similar truck to throw me off, in a corner.
i should i have been smarter that it doesn't tell you what level you were parked at or even think it would work.
never doing shit with my friends like that again.
like ever
If I get a Nexus 5, will installing AOKP or Cyanogenmod conflict with having Straight Talk as a carrier?

i thought the parking location thing was useful
Mine actually is decent at tailoring to my interests.
Top is shortcut to tracking information for a package I'm waiting for. Pulled from my email.
Then some news about AVGN.
Then some information about a Bluetooth receiver (I googled that literally 30 minutes ago).
A Simtropolis posting about a Simcity 4 fix for Windows 7 (I was googling Win98 fixes but w/e)
And links about "material design" since I googled that earlier today.
Then the weather. Mine tends to be pretty good about not putting shit in there that isn't relavent in any way.
i thought the parking location thing was useful
as long as it's not a garage, then sure perhaps.
but i've never not remembered where i parked.
Someone on reddit found a part on Google's Design page with different looking nav bar icons. (sorry for the big vid I'm not sure how the thumb a webm)

I really hope they use this in the end.
