I don't like the weird blue color they're using for tinting the status and action bar
It would be nice if you could customize it
its defined by app
they just haven't defined it yet in their apps cause it came out 4 hours ago

I backed up with TWRP, and then forgot to copy the backup from the device, and I just told it to wipe the filesystem.
Oops.

The LG one is cheaper in this case for some reason
buy from Google.
better support if something goes wrong, no 3rd party crap to deal with, just with Google directly
Thinking I might get the Nexus 5 through my carrier. It's only the 16GB model and I'll need a 2 year contract but I can get it for free (actually the cost to buy out my existing contract, $50). Bringing my own phone only saves $5/month and I'll be with my carrier for the next two years anyway so it seems like a better deal.
I'll even be able to change my plan to a far better one this way.
You can boot to TWRP temporarily if you have L installed. Just did it with my device
It just can't be flashed yet of course
Fucking glad I have a windows tablet with a USB port.
In case anything fucks up, I have adb on me, as well as Nexus Root Toolkit
dunno if anyone saw this, but there's an update to Google Search that allows "Ok Google" from any screen, including the lockscreen, and even when the screen is off when your phone is charging
seems to only work on some phones right now since it's still rolling out

I came, I installed, I looked around, got bored and went back home.
I installed 4.4.4 stock instead of PA now though, some of the features in PA were nice, but eh.
Does Split View in Omnirom not work with the Google Now Launcher?
Decided to solder myself an OTG cable because I had the stuff laying around
3 hours later, I have this horribly whacked together piece of shit that crashes my phone when you plug it in
If you want to be a monster, find a way to replace one of the cables in those "recharge your phone" mall kiosks with yours.
Playing around with my phone
When I installed L, it did a device wipe, so I had a poke at a TWRP backup of L and KK, mixing KK's data with L's boot and system

Any of you use K9 mail?
Is there a way to save a file that has been attached to an outgoing email?
To give context, I have used whatsapp conversation emailer feature and have a draft email with the text file of a conversation, Is there anyway for me to get that file without the need to email it to myself?
I've be sitting here for an hour contemplating getting a 16 or 32 gig for an extra $50

I think it's worth it since there's no expandable memory, but it really depends on how much storage you're going to use

What is English XA really?

go get the larger capacity one, you might as well get it so you have more storage than you need for whatever occasion, plus more games, movies and crap on your phone.
Wait shit I have $80 on PayPal I forgot about
32 gigs I go
it looks like at the moment anyways, the ticker notifications (when it does the scrolling of the content in the statusbar) is removed
To flash or not to flash Android L..
important information about nexus line from dave burke head of nexus line
"'People just get excited by concepts and forget why we do things,' Burke told me in an interview. 'We are still invested in Nexus.' .... 'People have been commenting about Nexus because there is something else and they think that means the end of Nexus. That is the totally wrong conclusion to make,' Burke said."

Anyone else slightly excited by how much focus they're putting into notifications now?
I like it, if it's something quick, I'd rather have it done as a quick notification.
I find their cloud syncing of notifications that's coming in Android L interesting - they have the tools to enable application developers to already dismiss notifications on other devices when you act on them, but looks like they're going to do it on the platform-level now, and force it.
Also, the fact that the entire Android Wear system is built on the notifications API, that's interesting.

All you need to do is extract the latest SuperSU zip, and find/replace all occurrences of "/system/etc/install-recovery.sh" with "/system/bin/install-recovery.sh" in "META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary", then zip it back up and flash with CWM.

FYI:there are still apps that don't work, some cause bootloops
FYI:there are still apps that don't work, some cause bootloops
It's a fucking developer preview.
It's published so that developers can test how their applications work on the next version of the platform.
Which means that bootloops aren't actually a problem, since you're supposed to wipe the device clean, verify that it works, and then load your application onto the device to test that it works.
