It's basically Android beta
It's a developer preview.
It's not beta. It's not even alpha. It's a "heads up, we've changed shitloads of stuff, and we're going to keep changing stuff, but this is the current state of it".
Holy shit 4.4.4 rolled out on the Sony Z1C, Z1, and Z Ultra in certain areas, yesterday Z1 Compact rolled out and now Z1/ZU rolled out. Waiting on my region to receive the update then I'll probably say how it is.
I think my phone charger is going out, I plugged my phone in before bed last night and ir was at 67% when I woke up. :(
Got it charging in my car and its at a whopping 68% now.

It always made noises, especially if I messed qith my phone while its plugged in.

some security fixes and that's really all.
FYI:there are still apps that don't work, some cause bootloops
And there are apps that work, but some of their screens don't even work.
Watch a video on facebook, then bring up the comments overlay

It's not that the update is ground breaking, it's more amazing that Sony put out the newest version of android so quick.
I got off my ass and got wind mobile. Time to see how bad it is...

I can sell my Nexus 4 for 150 euro. Nexus 5 is 350 euro. Should I do it or wait for the new Nexus whenever that will be
It's not that the update is ground breaking, it's more amazing that Sony put out the newest version of android so quick.
as said before, it's a security fix, meaning they want to push it out ASAP for obvious security reasons.
-actually snip-
My phone came in the mail already. Overnight shipping wooo.
Now I need a recommendation between CyanogenMod, Paranoid Android, AOKP
I honestly can't decide because I've had little experience.
Omni
So when should I expect the Materialization Nation?
aaaaand I'm back to PA again because the Omni maintainer for my device disappeared for 2 weeks and there's tons of game-breakers in the current build
god I love this orange objects theme
Just got the Moto G 4G, beautiful phone.
Has anyone else got one and tried to use an SD card?
Mine randomly says there is no SD card inserted or that it's damaged.
I'm using SanDisk 32GB SDHC Class 10 and it works in my laptop, I tried formatting it with SD formatter and Windows.
According to the XDA devs forum it doesn't like Class 10 cards and I need to use a Samsung Class 6 card?
Ok, I got my Straight Talk activation kit and it has GSM and CDMA options, both of which I can use with the Nexus 5.
For technical reasons/simplicity, which one should I choose? I've tried Googling this but I couldn't find proper results. I've heard that one is faster than the other, but I'm not sure if I'm remembering things right.

probably gsm since every other carrier uses it.
What are the differences between Omni, PA and CM?

Thanks for all the help.
I think I just got really unlucky though.
I get no signal in my yard. :C

On TouchWiz, yes.
On TouchWiz, yes.
And a hell of a lot of custom ROMs, and I believe the stock Nexus ROMs, even though the status page doesn't display SELinux status.
It's not like SELinux really matters that much for most users, for root users, you're going to unlock your bootloader and install su through the recovery, and SELinux can't mess with that.
It can mess with executing the su application though, but that's just a rule rewrite.

Mostly features. I guess some run faster than the others, and you save a bit of battery if you go with this as opposed to this, but it's pretty much just features (and finish in my opinion, I prefer PA because it feels stock, while CM doens't)

Lots o free apps, just gotta download the amazon app store
Is that even avaliable in Canada?
I set up an US Amazon account once so I could get the free apps from Amazon's store.
I haven't used that in years, I don't give a shit about them nowadays.
The remote desktop one is neat, gonna set that up when I get home.
I already got like half of them because free why not
$15 puzzle game for kids? Sure why not
Free stuff is free stuff!
