Does anyone have suggestions as far as android tablets go? I'm looking to get a new one since the screen on my old one started to crack, and I actually want a smaller screen this time around (my current one is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 inch model).
nexus 7 2013 refurb/new models pop up every so often on ebay daily deals
nexus 7 2013 easily
I hope the new design brings in same size icons throughout the launcher. It's the worst thing aesthetically about Android.
I hope the new design brings in same size icons throughout the launcher. It's the worst thing aesthetically about Android.
They already got a circle thing going on with other stuff, anyway. It only makes sense.
I hope the new design brings in same size icons throughout the launcher. Oh hey we're on the 444 page
Now how do we reach the L page?
Now how do we reach the L page?
Go to page 7 and turn your monitor upside down.
My GNex radio decided to burn up. Not literally, but the signal is so atrocious and can barely hold a signal indoors anymore and cooks. Because I needed a new phone, and I wasn't going back to a goddamn HTC Eris I decided to go for the M8. Wished I could have held out another month for the G3, but oh well. I won't lie though, this thing is pretty damn nice coming from a GNex. My battery actually lasts beyond 12 hours. And doesn't start fires.
And doesn't start fires.
You'll miss that feature one day.
You'll miss that feature one day.
Well it was a great handwarmer in the winter.
Anybody else here call the HTC M8 the "HTC Mate" or is that just an aussie thing?
Anybody else here call the HTC M8 the "HTC Mate" or is that just an aussie thing?
I thought that was the whole point of the name and have been reading it in my head like that since I first set my eyes upon it.
Does using WiFi use more battery than using 3g?
Does using WiFi use more battery than using 3g?
I'd say yes, Depending on your version, wifi will auto-sync, rather than being an option on data Even then, you need 3g if you want to recieve/send MMS Just turn off wifi if you're not using it [editline]1st July 2014[/editline]
any pictures uploaded, no matter where they are, if greater than 2048 on the longest side, count. maximum file size for a picture is 50MB, maximum video file size is 1GB if you use sharex with google plus, you have to make a new album every 1000 pictures, because you can only have 1000 pictures in an album (hopefully they'll change that)
4 months later... I got my Pressy. It's shit. That's my review.
I'd say yes, Depending on your version, wifi will auto-sync, rather than being an option on data Even then, you need 3g if you want to recieve/send MMS
wifi could have consumed more battery 4 years ago when phones were potatoes but now? it's a no brainer, it's a battery saver
Hahaha I got my phone to reboot itself and it's still completely stock. Fuck you Samsung
I got my Pressy. It's shit. That's my review.
Yeah I've used my pressy once since I got it and it works like shit. I can't do long presses at all, one long press for me becomes one long press and two short presses. They responded on an email in like 2 hours but after I wrote my response on a little more info and stuff they haven't responded at all. Overall it's shit. I give your review A+.
It's just not useful. Especially with the input lag. If they had tasker implementation like it says they would have had on the kickstarter it'd be 100% less shitty. [editline]1st July 2014[/editline] Also, I'm thinking. How hard do you guys think it's be to get a Galaxy Gear working with a One M8? I can upgrade early on Verizon's Edge and I think I just might get the One M8.

You'd still need some sort of phone signal/connection to make/receive phone calls and sms.
I got my Pressy. It's shit. That's my review.
Holy shit they're $27 each? Meanwhile http://www.dx.com/p/3-5mm-plug-shortcut-key-for-android-phone-silver-315648 $1.66 and free shipping, plus they were out faster than the pressy

If you can, wait for Wear.
I should get something like this http://www.dx.com/p/iphone-5-nano-sim-to-micro-sim-nano-sim-to-sim-micro-sim-to-sim-card-adapter-set-black-3-pcs-166588#.U7L6_NJDucI
Still tempted to change my iPhone for Nexus 5, but want to know - how is the battery life?
Reverted back to 4.4.4, Lost about a month of data due to a fucked nandroid, but all is good. I still have nandroid of L still present on my phone. Might try it out again when xposed does a release, which I hear is being worked on already. L was great, although the fucking recent apps menu is a lot more efficient, because I'm not sure of I'm closing the app I want to close due to the layering of them
Still tempted to change my iPhone for Nexus 5, but want to know - how is the battery life?
Unclear, since they're improving android battery life in the future I found a longer battery when running L, possibly due to having a lot less on my phone. Other than that it depends what you're doing. I can get maybe 4-5 hours on Ingress, which is the most intense application on the battery I have. In my current state, I am able to get a good 100 hours on standby [editline]2nd July 2014[/editline]
I heard tethering was broken
Never tried it. Only ever needed to tether once with android, and even then it didn't work on the 4.4.3
working on independently confirming, but GET FUCKING HYPED IT'S HAPPENING http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/29l02y/looky_what_i_found_in_hangouts/ [editline]1st July 2014[/editline] just independently confirmed on my phone: hitting "turn on" doesn't do anything possibly does something on L
