Yeah PA is the rom I downloaded, just had to figure out where to put it. [editline]5th July 2014[/editline] Posting from PA Everything feels so much smoother and less bloated. I can tether now too :D
Welcome to the PA boat!
Does anyone know if Carphone Warehouse will accept rooted phones? Was thinking of getting an upgrade through them in a month and they'd give me £181 for my S3 if I upgrade to the HTC One M8 or a load of other new phones.
If you can somehow revert it back to not rooted with stock everything, I'm pretty sure they won't find out unless rooting trips something and is detectable.
Z2 is a pretty good phone, nice camera, water resistant, Sony doesn't do a shit job on updates and they have developer tools for you to unlock the bootloader and Sony's dev community is pretty strong because Sony was so nice. Lots of roms and support now.
I should of mentioned i won't be getting the Xperia Z2 till the 17th. So i have to wait a week or so...
My Gwatch got dispatched yesturday If all goes well, and follows the same process as my N5, I should get it in by Friday, the next Monday
my s5 burned me earlier while charging it :S [editline]6th July 2014[/editline] before i go on i would like to apolagize for any gramatical errors, i've only gotten like 3 hours of sleep in the past 30. what happened was i fell asleep in a chair at my friends house with my phone charging in my lap, while listening to music and daydream was on for whatever reason. so in my sleep i guess my wrist went over my phone and i ended up waking up with my wrist in a lot of pain and a big red bump on it. the bump is still there and it still stings so def a burn.
ok this app is pretty cool. vibrates depending on what exactly is being sent in the message "k" - short buzz "k!!!!!!" - longer/more powerful buzz "im gay" - two short buzzes "im gay!!!!" - two more powerful buzzes https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hyperbyte.mumblebasic

My S3's at the point now where I need to get a new phone. My top 3 choices are the Z2, the nexus 5 and M8. Are there any staggering advantages disadvantages between the three of these? I liked the sound of the Z2 having some water resistance, but the HTC appeals to me from my past experience with HTC phones.
Wait for the G3 and get that, disregard the N5 unless you highly want the N5 specificly for what it is.

what should i do about this issue. go to samsung?
what should i do about this issue. go to samsung?
contact customer support they'll literally bend over backwards to avoid a lawsuit
what should i do about this issue. go to samsung?
It's a feature, it's a new Samsung Health function which prevents you from overusing your phone.
It's a feature, it's a new Samsung Health function which prevents you from overusing your phone.
i was asleep when i used it, so that feature must have some bugs to be ironed out.

I've really not liked where Samsung is going. That's why I've went with HTC, as they at least seem to be trying to improve themselves.
My brother's m8 still drops calls like its hot. He's taken it in to a shop but all they do is update his prl (its not even slightly difficult) which might fix it for about a half hour. I keep tellling him to take it in and get a new one but he's lazy.
He has another video and the first minute is him explaining that you need to make sure samsung isn't going to charge you to fix your phone that caught on fire or possibly think about doing it cheaper locally. UhhHh, why the fuck is this even a thing. Phones don't randomly combust, if they do it should be replaced in or out of warranty no questions asked period. If the manufacturer doesn't replace it then you should definitely replace the phone with one from a manufacturer who's phones do not catch fire.
Phones don't randomly combust,
How do you know? Bad connections and batteries have caused trouble in several devices before.
If the manufacturer doesn't replace it then you should definitely replace the phone with one from a manufacturer who's phones do not catch fire.
So if the manufacturer refuses to do what they're legally obliged to, you should just give up and buy a phone from another company? Giving up is the worst thing you can do in that situation. That letter cannot be legal. It blackmails the owner of the phone into arbitrary demands to get his phone replaced.
Anyone aware of any hidden gems on Play?

I'm saying you shouldn't buy their products anymore, I personally would fight it as much I possibly could and just sell it when they finally replaced it. Welcome to the USA, the land of the free. That sort of scare tactic is far from new lol, Youtubers get slapped with that kind of shit to make them go away all the time. Anyone who says something bad about a company on a really touchy subject for them gets that kind of stuff. Warranty laws are only 90 days AFAIK and anything after that is totally up to the business to do whatever they please.
Anyone aware of any hidden gems on Play?
Raccountant.
Hiya, eejit reporting in. Right, my S1 is coming to its death and I'm going to be in the market for a replacement. I am a moron though, and have no idea what phone to get. The catch? I'm not exactly loaded. I'm looking to spend less than £25 a month or so if bought as a contract. I don't make calls often and honestly send fewer than 200 texts a month, so that's ok, but mobile data is pretty useful - I've survived with half a gig a month quite well though. I'm more than happy with refurbs, just want something that's decent enough and actually runs a decent version of android (I believe I'm back on 2.something) and has a minimum amount of bloatware, or at least bloatware that can be removed. A micro SD card slot would be a great bonus, but idunno if they still exist or have been swapped near entirely for integrated ones for the sake of boning customers. Sorry for pawning off the whole searching for myself, but I'm honestly lost and don't have a clue what I'm doing.

I'd be considering an LG G3, Sony Xperia Z2, Samsung S5 or HTC M8 if I were you. Only problem is that they are all pretty expensive.
Cheers, I'll see what I can do from them. Looked at the G3 as it was mentioned a short while back, seems a bit steep, but I think I saw a decent price for the S5 somewhere. Found the HTC M8 for £28 /mo, think I could afford that. Unlimited calls + messages and a gig of data. Looks like a nice phone. Might do it.
I remember scrolling through the play store looking for something to spend my credit on I got to the 200th top paid app and realized there's nothing there I wanted :v: Tell me what to throw money at
Tasker
Already bought it :v: Why can't I buy apps as gifts I'd be throwing you all so much shit
