Yeah I would be careful what you plug it into. As "fake" USB charging stations exist. At least make sure USB debugging is disabled. However most phones will tell you if you are connected to a USB host and will make it very easy to tell if its malicious.
The solution is clearly to get a USB cable that has no data pins.
It has both wide and narrow clips to grab onto either thick or thin vent grates. I can't imagine any style of vent it won't be able to clip to, and it uses rubbery stuff instead of relying on springs to hold on so it shouldn't loosen over time. I've gotten it to work in multiple vehicles, from an 80s Jeep to a modern Mazda.
Do you have a picture of the vents? I might be able to tell if it'll work.
I imagine it would fit just fine, though I don't trust the shitty plastic that my vents are made of to hold my phone without snapping into a million pieces.
Should I get a g watch to go with my g phone?
So I think T-Mobile rolled out LTE-A to my market. I just did a speedtest after telling a friend how much faster T-Mobile is than the shitty Cuntcast on my new LG G3.
And uhh...

My chinese edition of the OnePlus One arrived, and all those humble android bundles I bought on a whim turned out to be useful. Also, you get used to large screen sizes very fast, my old HTC Desire seems so constrained already.

Chinese bootleg of the OnePlus one? Link?
Chinese bootleg of the OnePlus one? Link?
No, it's the asian edition which comes with colorOS, some GSM frequencies cut off and doesn't need an invite to be bought. Mine came with Cyanogen installed by the vendor. It was bought on Aliexpress although I don't know the exact vendor as I bought it through an intermediary. They go for around 100$ more too. I got tired of waiting.
I'd go for the OnePlus One simply because it's a solid phone. The lack of SD card can always be solved with a USB OTG cable and a portable drive. (I know it's not practical for music and pictures but if you need the space for movies it might be alright) If you need the space for music there are some cheap unlimited data plans in the UK for streaming from Google Music and other services.
I suppose so...
It's either that or the Find 7 because of the 1440p screen and how it isn't limited by invites compared to the OnePlus One

Only if your desperate, Pretty sure better android wear would be coming out eventually

How ridiculous is your data cap though?
So I'm guessing my Nexus 4 CPU hitting 60C the other day probably hasn't done it much good...what's up with the awful heat management on that phone? Just browsing the internet spikes that fucker quickly. I rooted it and slapped xPosed on there to get some things to try and throttle it a bit, it's not like I use the full power of the CPU, but I still need to get around to the throttling part.
Also, has anyone used the wireless chargers available for it? Kinda tempted to pick one up if they're actually any good, plugging in the cable is one step too many for my supreme laziness.
IIRC the nexus 4 has a CPU that doesn't come in contact with the rest of the frame resulting in pretty horrible heat dissipation.
Also wireless chargers are okay.

Unless your Nexus 4 is rev12, do not get Nokia wireless chargers. Older rev's have issues with charging being interrupted very often on Nokia chargers.
I bought this for my Nexus 5, arrived this friday:

Works pretty much just like you'd expect. Makes NO beeping sound when you put the phone on it, which a lot of the cheap chargers do. Has a little LED light that glows either red (not charging) or blue (charging).
The usb cable that comes with has a really long microUSB port which ends up sticking out of the charger, which looks weird. I just use the cable that came with my Nexus 5, that one fits like a glove.
Charging speeds match up with what is posted in this thread, although that is Nexus 5 specific:

Does anyone know I can get good Micro USB cables for charging like 1.3-2 amp. I live in the UK.

Do you know exactly which GSM frequencies are cut off?
Thank god I managed to switch back to T-Mobile already, Sprint's 30 day return policy means I shouldn't have to pay anything other than the restocking fee. Network speeds are noticeably faster.
I would never plug my phone into a usb socket I couldn't trust.
I always have my tablet charger which has a bonus usb slot which cannot transmit data
That's exactly what I did prior, disable usb debugging if I had it on and plugged the phone in when the screen was locked and looked for a usb connection thing on the notifications bar. Nothing was there. Another way to check is to go into the battery stats and it should say AC (which it did in this case). Most people that were there had their AC charger and used it with their AC charger because people are lazy and don't want to pull the charger apart and probably didn't know how to read the rating listed near the USB charging port.

T-Mobile for ISP monopoly 2020.
They don't actually have a hard cap, right? You just get throttled after exceeding whatever amount you've paid for.
So yesterday I went on a road trip to the Niagara region, Ontario, Canada and did my usual speedtesting all over the place. I also brought my power bank (best idea ever) and charged my phone, a Sony Xperia ZL, Samsung Galaxy Nexus several times throughout the day and it was actually the first time the power bank ran out of juice. All 10400mAH of it pretty much gone. The road trip friends were impressed and thought having a power bank was super useful for traveling.
I also noticed how annoying kids are with their parents mobile phones and how they like to watch videos and play games at max screen brightness and don't care if the battery dies (which happened like twice) and don't react when their parents tell them to stop playing/wasting battery, especially when it was charging on my power bank. Kids these days :v:
Which means I could have had more of a charge at the end of the day.
Where can I buy one of those legit power banks in the UK? I'm kind of worried I'd get a fake one from AliExpress.

If you get a fake one, you can always message the seller and then escalate the issue and get your money back. You'll find legit ones off Amazon UK.

Sorry, I guess it's more to do with WCDMA and LTE. As far as I heard it mostly concerns North-American bands

If you have unlimited you have unlimited but yeah their caps work that way.

nice data usage
I'd consider dropping Comcast if my mobile speeds were that high.

That 1700 band is necessary in conjunction with 2100 to get full 4G speeds on T-Mobile

I'd get an LTE tablet, get the share your data plan with your tablet plan for $10 a month and make it my home Internet.
