told someone on the verge forums that there theme looked bad.
My girlfriend unplugged her S2 at half 6 this morning, went to work where she left it in her locker, and said its out of battery now.
Wifi and data roaming was off. What's causing it to have such bad battery? I installed the newest Cyanogenmod nightly on it, and I'm not sure what KERNEL I installed on it because I did that long ago.
Any recommendations boys?
Also, Simpsons Tapped Out always crashes for her whats goin on .
My fix for simpsons tapped out didn't work?
The Verge mobile app looks good and works pretty well

That's what you get for not reading AndroidPolice exclusively. :v:

Well, since i recieved no awnser from the guy who i asked to kindly test the launcher, i will link it here.
I want to know if it works with 4.1/4.2 phones.

You just need to awnser if it Force closes or not.
Why should we use the launcher? or is it just to see if it works
Why should we use the launcher? or it just to see if it works
Just to see if it works.
Im stuck on a Galaxy Y at the moment.
So my Galaxy S4 arrived. It's all set up with no issues (apart from boneheadedly inserting the SIM card the wrong way and spendingten minutes taking it out because Verizon's instructions and Samsung's instructions are different,) and so far it's very nice.
My only complaints so far are that half the gimmicks that involve eyes don't work (as expected,) it gets kinda warm when charging and using it but so do all Samsung devices, the case feels cheap (but this can be fixed easily,) and the screen has FUCKING TERRIBLE ghosting when it's white text on a black background to the point where it almost turns invisible. I haven't noticed it on any movies though so it only really happens in the menu. It's only there when you look for it in normal use, like with all screens.
Some of the gimmicks are neat though. The TV remote is a nice feature to have and I will use it a ton. Hopefully someday all phones will have this functionality. Early tests of the camera reveal that it's a phenomenal camera in good light. The resolution is important for me because I'm always taking pictures of documents and business cards, etc. I got to play with a feature I never heard about, it has some slow-motion capabilities for the camcorder and it's not bad at all. I haven't had the chance to try out all of the features yet though.

The HTC One can be quite a hothead too sometimes. But then again, metal conducts heat.
Garychencool, is your SK17A a boiled potato or just a regular one?

It was boiled a million times, I think it's boiled.

Ok, thats all i wanted to know, thanks.
What fix was it. I cleared game data and it downloads new content but then crashes after loading. What Is a good kernel for the s2? The ones installed is really old. I think it could be that
I never realized how much I hate my current ROM situation, until now.
I hate the official ROM on my i9100 because it's Android 4.1, so it's missing features, but all the features it has actually work, then CM10.1 has the latest that Android has to give, but a lot of stuff (WiFi hotspot, reading a USB stick with an USB OTG cable etc.) just doesn't work, and I'm really not liking ParanoidAndroid.
I need to go through a bunch of ROMs, and see what I like, I suppose.

Oh shit, sorry. I had it in my SDcard but not installed and completely forgot about. Sorry man, Still want me to try it? (Stock JB)
received my sp, pretty nice for what is classed as a midrange device, verticle swipe to unlock is a bit impossible with one hand though
also does anyone know how to activate hdr video and can you display exif info in the sony album app?
display exif info in the sony album app?
get an app called quickpic, you can enable exif data display as you view the image
will try it, will third party apps activate the lightbar?
Woo managed to get my S3 to show up in file explorer on my Linux laptop. Airdroid is nice and all, but i like just being able to plug in and transfer, especially with slightly unstable wifi

Nah, someone already tested it. It Force closes.
Thanks anyway.

This is why I upgraded from the S1 to the S4. It was either be on Stock with no apps but with decent battery life and stability, or go with a custom ROM to have new bells and whistles but sacrifice stability.

A wake lock can drain battery a lot when seemingly nothing is happening, kernels can for sure cause that.
On another note, my HTC one arrived today, I couldn't be happier, everything is perfect in my eyes (apart from the forcefulness of being social - IG adding facebook pictures into the gallery but that can be overlooked)
Speakers really are good, camera is amazing, but then the most up-to-date camera I used before was the s2's
Holy shit. 4g is better than my home cable internet.

Home: 17.45/5.82 @97ms
Cell: 21.41/6.16 @86ms
I didn't think 4g was that good. I already usually have the lowest ping in any given server I join, and with this connection I could replace my home internet connection and do better.

i get that speed on HSPA+ and it's better than my ADSL.
And I'm still getting 5Mbps down...

Kernels can only go so far. The only way to really fix the problem is to either fix the settings of an application or delete it.

Either you get the holy-shit-this-is-hot of the One, or you get the throttling of the S4. The One just does a better job of dissipating the heat generated by the SoC/battery/display.
Wow, this might be a new record for me. This time, I went 4 hours before voiding warranty on my smartphone! That's a whole 2 hours longer than last time!
In other words, I rooted that sucker. I probably should have waited, though. Oh well, at least I removed the bloatware.
I got my aluminium case today.

Overall pretty damn nice.
Finally going to get a Nexus 4 sometime soon. It'll be my first real Android device (not counting my crappy nook with it's bn version of Android) and my first smartphone. I'm not so polarized on the whole Android and iOS debate. I mean I've been using iOS for the past 3 or 4 years on an iPod touch and have gotten kind of bored of it. It's a great OS but I just want to try something new. The Nexus is cheap and has some awesome specs for its price.
I've played around with S Health. It's nice but it's simply not as powerful as my other fitness apps. It doesn't track calories as well as MyFitnessPal, and it doesn't track exercise as well as Fitocracy or Endomondo.
