Right so I'm trying to find the best livestreaming app on Android that can basically live stream something and act as a camera and upstream in 720p HD or better.

way to make me feel bad about my 6 year old thinkpad, jerk :saddowns:
(though it has no decals on it - who the fuck would ruin that gorgeous matte black box with some crazy homeless looking dude on it)
I should get this http://www.meenova.com/
I have 2 of those. They work really good and its always have one on my keychain.
Well, can you see any colors mixing/being wrong? Does it fail to register touches at times? Sounds like the capacitive buttons are broken on your device, not the LCD
Colors are fine, and touch screen is still responsive, although slower since the cracks make it so my fingers can't move as fast. The Home and Menu button still work, but the back and search button don't. After I cracked it, the back button worked a little bit, I just had to put my finger at a certain spot, but now it just doesn't work.
I'm thinking of buying a new digitizer screen and if it doesn't fix it, or if I break the phone all the way, then I'll just buy a new one since this is three years old.
Anyone have experience with tethering? I'm tethering my LTD connection to my computer because our line is down. It works get for games, but loading webpages is insanely slow, yet the phone loads webpages incredibly fast.
By slow I mean 30 seconds and more.

I haven't run into a point where I needed more storage on my Nexus 5 but I guess it's a cool thing to have.
Is there anything I can do to improve the speed for the computer? Using USB tether btw. Not wife or blue tooth

LEL. Removing the network cable solved it.
good job
I need some rooting help for my Padfone 2.
generally, I'd unlock the bootloader using the tool provided by ASUS, but since I had my motherboard changed out after an update from them bricked it, the unlock tool no longer works. this is across the board, the tool does not work on replaced motherboards.
before I updated to 4.4 which just came out, framaroot using the Gandalf exploit worked for me. that was on 4.1.1, and it no longer works on 4.4.
I'm not sure how I'm supposed to root this thing when I can't install a custom recovery and 4.4 rendered the Gandalf exploit useless. any ideas?
Going to return my LG G3 for a LG G2.
(Middle is LG G3, top is a phone and bottom is a laptop)

I can't take any more of this as well as I don't really like the size of the device since it no longer fits comfortably between my index finger and thumb. My left hand is sore from holding it too.
If it was a 1080p phone, the same size as the G2 and with a Snapdragon 805 I would be in love but the G3 just isn't worth it over the G2.
The camera takes some pretty awesome pictures compared to the mediocre white burning camera in the G2.
I've said a lot about the G3 in the last few pages and this thread has mostly chronicled my ownership and return of it. The G3 is a really really great phone but if it was a slight bit smaller and didn't have shitty sharpening built into the screen firmware, it would literally be hands down the best phone.

Anandtech did a VERY good through review of it. My sole advice is to view a couple threads on XDA with it and if you don't mind the sharpening on a grey background, buy it but be aware soon as you are aware of it you have to live with seeing it and acknowledging it forever.

Also in other news, I have just unboxed my LG G2 D801 that I got after returning my G3.
Well I am getting an Android phone soon so I will let peeps know hows it goes.
If you have questions, this is the place to go.
I have no idea why I would want to run kali linux on my phone.
it would be super cool

Watch_dogs is real guys
So I didn't check 500 pages of thread to see if someone mentioned it, but it's possible to install kali linux alongside Android... My head is explodes... Anyone done this here yet?
Easiest thing you can do is install DriveDroid then turn your phone into a Kali Linux boot CD for computers
try geohot's towel exploit
hot damn, that worked much better than expected. make it rain!

Yeah except the hardware isn't anything as powerful.
I forgot how much better battery life and how much snappier the G2 was than the G3 or at least the G2 on Paranoid Android..
Although here's another thing I miss from the G3....

I'm guessing I got 100mbps down because I was on an underused band on the towers over here, the G3 supported the 2600mhz band and LTE-A though so speeds should have been better anyways.
Oh well, at least the screen doesn't bother me.
Can someone please link me to the holo steam someone here was making. (Can't remember who sadly)

I can see the sharpen thing on my G3 now that you guys mention it. But I guess I'm lucky, it doesn't bother me any, and I guess I have big hands as the size of the device is no big deal either.
I don't care what nobody says about size, maybe the Note series is too big, but at the same time after handling any number of Android phones, iPhones are way to small. If my buddy hands me his iPhone 4 and says "reply and tell him X" I always feel stupid, even considering I once had an iPhone 4 myself.

Feel like an awkward giant?
I'm 6'3" and have fairly small feet and hands for someone of my height, so no. I don't have any issues using my One M8 one handed, and barely had issues with my old Note 2.
can't find one decent phone recording app, I used to use call recorder and it worked flawlessly but now I use it and I can barely hear the other end, just my voice.
Gonna guess "voice call" setting on recording apps is fucked up/incompatible with KitKat 4.4, is there anything else I can try
I get an influx of prank callers btw it's always good to record them for boredom purposes

After spending a day with the OPO I think it's just slightly too big. I think 5" is the sweet spot.
I really hope the next Nexus isn't 5.9" like rumored.

I don't think it'll be. There's rumors that Motorola is up next for a Nexus, and the Moto devices are a decent size.
Heh, I'm tempted to install Cyanogenmod on my Note 3 after breaking my S-Pen. The thing costs $25!
I rooted my Note 3 with towelroot yesterday while bored on helpdesk, though I still can't seem to use ROM Toolbox to remove pre installed apps, they just reinstall themselves when I reboot the phone. Is there anything I can do about that?

Surface Pro 1-2 pen costs 50
Thanks Wacom!
Anyone else with a Moto X been getting terrible battery lately? I've been getting horrible battery life for the past week or so.
63% at time of posting, most of that is not in use.
[T]http://a.pomf.se/dqtcif.png[/t]
Since opening the browser and posting this, it has gone down to 60%
Is there any way to see which apps you've downloaded on which days? I might need to uninstall stuff.
Is it possible that dropping it could have messed up the battery physically?
Just realized: it says WiFi was on that entire time, but it has been off since last night. Also, according to a third party battery app, it lost 6% battery while the phone was off
