Yay Note 2 buddies!
I'm going to be getting a nexus 7 soon, and was wondering if there is any reason I should not (ie: new version coming soon, better tablets elsewhere, etc). As far as I've been able to find this is the best 7inch tablet I can get for <= $250.
I've done some research into this obviously (and got to play with one for ~20 minutes). However, seeing this is my first major android purchase I could be missing a lesser known better brand, so if you guys have any ideas or suggestions, please let me know.
Edit: wording/to many commas.

There is a new one coming this summer, stay tuned. It will be better in every aspect and is rumored to actually be cheaper than the original. It definitely won't be more expensive.

I've heard about this, but I've also seen that google didn't show off anything at I/O. How solid are these rumors?

I wouldn't know. I'd still wait for two months to find out.

It's this after googling the case name on the back I think and my sources say no.
Got my s4 replaced today, great phone now that its working. So glad im finally away from my iPhone
Yea I just saw that a nexus tablet cleared bluetooth testing. Looks like i'll be holding on to my $250 for a few weeks longer then.
What is this and do they make it for the note 1?
Not sure you want it. It's done a number on my reception. Might ditch it in the future. Depends on how it fares when I'm downtown. But texts fail to send on the top level of my house so it's an issue.
Do you guys know how to change the way how a computer detects my SGS2 with CM10.1 to the way how it did on CM10? I mean, it used to see it as an external drive and now as a phone. I cannot view pictures directly from a directory (the PC copies the file on its HDD first and then opens it), some files don't appear at all and there are often errors when I'm trying to copy files on memory either of phone or external SD card.
Have you had any problems with it? Overheating, pink, purple, yellow spots when low brightness?
What fix was it. I cleared game data and it downloads new content but then crashes after loading. What Is a good kernel for the s2? The ones installed is really old. I think it could be that
You only need to log out and log back in, that should fix it.

How is signal attenuation?
You only need to log out and log back in, that should fix it.
She didn't have an account she was playing anonymously.
I got her to make an account then she logged out and logged back in and still nothing :S
How is signal attenuation?
currently have 5 or of 5 bars of signal on the road now. Noticeable problem in areas with low service but fine elsewhere.

Depends if the devs bothered to port USB Storage option to CM10.1. I can't remember if they did. Try going to Settings - Storage - Menu/overflow button - there should be settings like MTP/PTP and possibly USB Storage
So I sent my Nexus 4 off for repair yesterday due to a cracked screen. And then today...

There goes my Nexus 7.
Do not let me touch your phones and tablets if you want them in one piece.
i've never cracked the screen (or anything else) of any phone i've owned
Aren't they made with Gorilla Glass?
Aren't they made with Gorilla Glass?
Scratch resistant is far from crack resistant.

HOLY SHIT THAT DID THE TRICK ♥
Aren't they made with Gorilla Glass?
No. Going by Wikipedia and some two second research, they use "Corning Fit Glass". Corning also makes Gorilla glass, but apparently, this is a cheaper scratch resistant glass that they also make. I suppose fair enough, since they can't spare any expense at this price-point.

I dunno then. I have this crashing after loading thing once every so often and when I have it it's because I closed the app during sync, which fucks up the savegame somehow making it crash. Logging out and back in fixes that.

Best example of this is diamond. It has the highest scratch resistance of any material, yet it can be easily shattered with a hammer.
Best example of this is diamond. It has the highest scratch resistance of any material, yet it can be easily shattered with a hammer.
Yup. It's why I'm such a huge advocate of screen protectors. People think gorilla glass is infinitely more durable and it probably is, but a single chip or scratch in the glass compromises the entire thing and scratch resistant definitely means scratch resistant, not scratch proof.
Does anyone else have problems running the Facepunch app on their HTC One? Should I even try using it anymore, or is it not being updated, etc?
It's shit, don't bother :v:
[editline]29th May 2013[/editline]
It's also broken
I wished it would get fixed again, I pretty much dont check facepunch on the go anymore because of it...
geel's app actually works now for some reason (reinstall it if it's still crashing for you)
