Love how quick this phone charges (1%/min)
The battery lasts ages aswell, got ~6hours SOT yesterday with quite heavy use inc. a few hours of playing games.
Had 6 hours of screen on time with 14 hours of uptime yesterday, and was still on 40%. One M8 battery is pretty good.
How wonderful, my Dad lied about getting me that phone.
I'm not sure who compiled the Steam Holo, but steam's mobile app is going to update in the future.
Steam Guard is getting a new authenticator via QR, and apparently it will also be going into the mobile release

Oh, that would be ikermkiller/Connor.
I'd imagine it is just the Steam Guard, no new features..
It would be cool if Steam actually updated the app where it has stuff like group chat, chat syncing, etc.

They probably keep it simple because more support for older phones
Unlike Skype :v:

Oh well, it's not like there is every anything interesting in steam group chats anyways..
More support? There's things you can do to add support for newer and older devices, having a HOLO app for devices with HOLO is mostly just adding an XML file (sometimes you need to change some code too) with the new layout for the HOLO app in a specific folder.
Material Steam please valve

We'll get the material update right after android 6.0 marzipan releases
Anybody know any custom audio drivers apart from viper audio?

I don't know any other drivers but from my experience ViPER is actually really good. I especially love the fact that you can remove the gain limiter on devices so you magically get 15% more distortion free volume
Could someone help me out here, my LG gPad 8.3 won't let me mount the SD card, do I need to totally erase everything on it already and try again or what
The device fully recognises I got an SD card in btw so the reader isn't fucked

Recognises it now, so tested the camera app. All was going well until 30 seconds in and it crashed with this message

Checked out the LG G3.. It's a nice phone. Almost 600ppi..

It is, but its getting a little ridiculous now. I have to push my M8 up to my eye to make out the individual pixels, and that's 450ppi. Is there going to be a point to push past 600 ppi?

And I thought the nexus 7 2013 alone was good enough, even my nexus 5 is hard to see the pixels..

I'd rather have a 1080p display and better battery life.
Why try and push for 2/4K on phones when desktop PCs can only just handle it.
720p for phones, 1080p for tablets.

I can definitely notice a difference between 720p and 1080p on phones. I think best would be 1080P for phones and 2k-4k for tablets.
I can barely find any 1080x1920 wallpapers for my One M8.

You can also find a 1920x1080 background and rotate it providing it doesn't matter which orientation the background is.
I don't know why, but in my head when I have a blue wallpaper on my phone, the screen feels smoother and better to use.
M8's are cool, I own one and unlike my old Note 2 I have had literally no reason to root it and install anything custom.
So I'm looking at back covers for my s4. Preferably a completely clear one, but can't find it. Anyone know of one?
Well if the screen actually drains less battery than a lower resolution screen, I'm fine with that. Although it probably doesn't because even if it did, the GPU usage would probably balance it out or make it worse.
I actually wonder how much better the LG G3 is in terms of battery life compared to the Nexus 5. I've been experiencing meh battery life recently and I kinda know why.
Like the 1080p display on the Nexus 5 is already nice enough for my eyes.

One of my coworkers has a G3 and it's a cool phone and all but I literally cannot tell a difference between its screen and that of my M8. 538 ppi @ 5.5" is not all that different from 441 ppi @ 5.0".
It's a gorgeous phone either way, though. The screen still looked way nice. I didn't notice any weird sharpening effects that people bitched about, and I'm a graphic design minor so I like to think I have a decent eye for those things.
I've only ever noticed the sharpening effect on my G3 on the text from a blue chat bubble, but it's not the end of the world.
I ended up getting the G3, and while great, I seem to be one of those who notices the sharpening on the text. I can't browse FP without getting a headache with this screen
the sharpening issue isn't as widespread on the phone as I would have initially thought. everything related to the OS itself isn't sharp at all (in a good way), but the second you go browse the internet, certain fonts and font sizes will make some text sharp enough to induce a headache. this is very noticeable on FP when reading quotes, time since post and the join date/post count.
welp, I'm going to have to return the G3 in exchange for the One M8. I can't browse the internet on this phone without getting a headache. shame too, everything about the phone is great. if only whatever LG did to the text didn't happen, it'd be a great phone
