Yeah, I guess it comes down to personal preference and experience generally.
So, I set up my Chromecast, Chrome remote desktop, all of that. Fucking beautiful, it is. Phone controls everything. It's great. Google master race, y'all.
I still don't see why everyone recommends Swiftkey. The Google Keyboard performs better, looks better, and in my experience is generally more accurate.
I absolutely love Swiftkeys predictions which is why I'm not using Google Keyboard. I do wish that Swiftkey kept their old settings though, where you could change to "fast typer" or "thumb typer" styles of how you type with the keyboard. Also Swiftkey lags like a bitch in Chrome. Like literally feels like a 256-512mb RAM device with no memory left to use. I can barely do posts in Chrome on Android thanks to Swiftkey.
Anyone else had problems with deleting folders that are 0.0kb large? I wanted to add new music to my phone and accidentally put the Music into the wrong folder. Wanted to delete that, but it just tells me it is deleting and no progress is made. It just stays like this and eventually fails.
I am now the proud owner of a Nexus 7 [sp]yes I know it's old leave me alone[/sp] I immediately installed the L preview on it just to check it out. Oh my lord these animations are pretty.
still one of the best tablets in its price range i love my nexus 7.
I realized HTC's keyboard is surprisingly difficult to type on. I keep missing keys, hitting whatever's next to it. Wish they'd had gaps between the keys, even though the way it is now looks a little better.
..where you could change to "fast typer" or "thumb typer" styles of how you type with the keyboard.
This? [editline]23rd August 2014[/editline] Also, I absolutely love SwiftKey, especially swiping my finger to type, like Swype or similar. I don't really use the predictions to type anything, just for correcting my typos.
I pretty much have to use SwiftKey, the Finnish predictions on SwiftKey suck, but they're lightyears ahead of all the other keyboards. Google Keyboard is absolutely bloody horrible. Main problem is that it corrects my correctly typed words into an entirely different word, but SwiftKey does it way less than El Goog.
Last time I used SwiftKey it was really ugly and very, very slow. Maybe I'll give it another shot though, since you guys seem to think it's better than Google Keyboard.
I'd try out Google keyboard but I'm too used to my predictions on SwiftKey.
I'd try out Google keyboard but I'm too used to my predictions on SwiftKey.
I'm too used to the layout of where everything is on SwiftKey after using it for almost 3 years..
After trying countless keyboards over the years I've just kept coming back to SwiftKey. Over the last 6 months they've really improved the performance of it so it is probably good to use on non-flagship devices also.

There is some input delay on the text field, but not in the keyboard itself. Also, I made the keys huge so I can type very fast.

Also if Google Keyboard was able to change the keyboard height so it matches what I have set for Swiftkey right now (which is the 2nd tallest setting) then it would feel better to how I've typed on my Nexus 5 for many months now. SwiftKey didn't lag (if I remember) on my potato almost 3 years ago but then it started to lag more and more and I guess it got better in recent months. I don't really get much lag on my Nexus 5 but sometimes it likes to glitch out. There does seem to be either lag or a delay when bringing up or closing down the keyboard.
Would anyone happen to have an apk of the latest DSPmanager out? My Gpad is running an outdated one from CMapps And also I need some assistance with my nexus 4, snapchat crashes the phone and when I restart it, it won't recognise more than 2 touches sometimes it takes 5 fingers on my screen to navigate my phone seeing as you guys rarely respond to these sorts of questions I guess they'll go unanswered
bumping this because I am being left unanswered
I want a theme creator for Swift Key, there are some nice official keyboard themes but most of them look terrible.
I myself use SwiftKey too, I switched over to this one the moment I got the phone. In the time I used it I never noticed any slowdowns or input delays, or I simply didn't notice. I also just found out how to change to thumb layout, seems to work way better. It takes some getting used to but after some practicing I'd probably type better like this.
I use Swiftkey simply because it works, and Google keyboard doesn't allow for more than one language at a time. Fuck switching languages when I'm speaking to someone in English and someone else in Dutch at the same time. Or speaking a mix of Dutch and English.
Does anyone else have the problem where chrome freeze when you tap a link and unfreeze when the page has loaded?
I hate swipe typing. I disable it on swiftkey, swiping back removes a word, swiping down closes keyboard
I'm too used to the layout of where everything is on SwiftKey after using it for almost 3 years..
That's exactly why I still use Swype. But now they've gone and fucked up part of the layout.

I actually love typing like this [T]http://i.imgur.com/xYaQ86T.png[/T]
No school like the old school though [t]http://5crat.ch/a/143m[/t]
I hate swipe typing. I disable it on swiftkey, swiping back removes a word, swiping down closes keyboard
I use it from time to time and it seems to work for me half the time.. Super useful when I can only use one hand for my phone

I got an AT&T LG G3 yesterday. The rear buttons are a fucking godsend for a phone of this size.
It feels awkward for about 2 days, then after a week you'll never ever want anything different. Mostly get used to Knock-On/Knock-Off since it's something that every phone on the market should have.
Damn straight. Tap to wake and knock code are absolutely brilliant. The camera is amazing. OIS+ makes it super easy to get clean shots in a jiffy. I'll try to get my grandma who has hand tremors to try and take pictures with this thing to see how well it works. The interface isn't laggy at all, at least compared to ones that I have seen in some videos. The software sharpening is a bit irritating but it's not a deal breaker. Overall, it's a very good phone. I think I'll be happy for the next two years with this thing.
last night i suggested the s5 to my friend as a new phone, mainly because the problems with my phone were just on my phone. then my phone froze. so i take off the back cover (the proper way, mind you) and a piece of the bottom just snapped off. as soon as my phone came back on i told him to get the g3 instead. in other news, ATT are charging us up the ass for bullshit, so we're gonna take our business to t-mobile in october. so, guess how much we save by switching to t-mobile? $25? $50? try $100. thats right, by switching to t-mobile the ETF's for two lines will pay for themselves in 4 months.
Pretty sure T-Mobile pays your etf too.
