So what are the go-to apps, analogous to the shit you install on a pc after reformatting? I didn't really see it covered in the OP.
Should I wipe it with a clean Android install to get rid of bloatware?
So what are the go-to apps,
Not really any, but here's my list

Made it for a friend a few months ago

Here's what to do when you are bored and recently got access to the root folder of your device.
I kept my phone on a low charge on purpose (32%) in the hope I can laugh my ass off tomorrow at school after they took it and the low battery prompt gets triggered, while in that drawer.
yeah mine didn't have it either, even though the powerbank itself IS legit.
Maybe the fact that I bought the legit one from an electronics shop in my country instead of buying on eBay had something to do with it?
I guess the seller bought it in bulk and didn't get those so no "in-store" packaging besides the jewel box.
I got a 16GB SD card online for $5. Died in 6 months. Got a 64GB SD card for my T100 from Best Buy for $50, still going strong. Different brands, of course. Mine's also a Sandisk. They seem to sell reliable stuff.
My Sandisk 64GB MicroSD broke after about a year. They replaced it for me under warranty though

My Sandisk 32gb sd broke after around 6 months, plastic broke off the corner and now it won't lock into some readers
I should warranty it too
I feel like the only one here who doesn't like Swift key. I like Flesky a lot though.
I've noticed absolutely no side effects over the last 3 days. Also I updated my post above, somebody made an Xposed module that can handle the wakelocks from Google Play services
Google Play Services are now the biggest sucker on the battery drainer list exempting screen and Android OS. I'll install the xposed framework when I can seeing as its worked for you

Using Wakelock Terminator doesn't require Xposed but it completely eliminates the wakelock. With the Xposed module you can set the intervals on how frequently it should run; I set it to every 3600 seconds.

I've had my Patriot 32GB microSD class 10 card for over 3 years now, used it on my potato almost all of the time, used it a whole lot (copying media, deleting after offline viewing) and it still works today. Still within it's 5 year warrenty.
I got this at an Asian computer store.
I'm using a Samsung 64GB Evo now. The bastard has 10 years warranty so I don't expect any dramas.
For anyone who has a Nexus 5, the max length you can do video recordings in 1080p is about 31 minutes as it seems to cut out before 4GB which is of course the file size limit per 1 file.
Bitrate is 17Mbps
This was on Google Camera
the audio is kinda shit, god damn it Google

Battery is draining faster now but its because I kept restarting my phone so its using a lot more. I'll fiddle around with it
Was riding go karts with my phone on my side in my pocket, my Z1 is now officially bent, screen isn't broken, but the sim card flap doesn't fit exactly right, nor is the device ever able to lay flat on a table. Surprised the screen didn't crack at all, everything seems to work fine, might or might not send it in for service under accidental warranty, depending on how it is the next few days.
Or paint it yellow and sell it as a banana phone.
so does anyone have a recommendation for a good screen recorder app to record stuff on the screen without a computer?
What the hell is wrong with my battery?

It's a galaxy s3

You just answered your own question.
I think that's a bit extreme even for an s3 though
there is this bug where if you disable developer options/mode it will turn off ART and even if you're still running ART and you enable dev options again, you have to reboot to enable ART even if everything was already done for ART
It normally lasts for days, but now it suddenly died in and instant and lost all charge. This is shit when I use it as an alarm in the morning and can't charge it during the night. Luckily I woke up by myself today

Either your battery needed to recalibrate the relationship between voltage and charge, or it's just failing.
Well it has been in the phone since it was new and my mom bought it by the time the S3 was brand new and then I took over it roughly a month ago. I haven't had problems with it until now but maybe I should just order a new battery then if it happens again.

Yeah, if it keeps happening, then it might be failing, otherwise it's just an estimation problem.
There's no way to actually determine the amount of charge in a Li-Ion battery, so it's estimated using a combination of voltage calibration and current integration. Current integration can drift from the actual charge until a calibration is done.
Even if the battery is full, a small offset in the current sensor will result in the reported SOC drifting all the way to 0% over time.
I think that shit has fucked my phone up, apps are constantly crashing and it doesn't seem to stall services at all

I've used fleksy for too long now. Trying other stuff just wants me to go back to fleksy, so you're not alone :P
Most cheap electronics especially cables are shit when purchased online (and a lot of unofficial ones in-store, but I think the only manufacturer who sells official cables in store is Apple with their Lightning cables.)

If I buy memory cards online on Amazon, I tend to go to the official seller. So if I buy a Sandisk card, I get it from Sandisk (significantly cheaper than buying locally anyhow). Only exception was buying a miniSD card, because who the fuck sells those anymore.
Only exception was when I was in Rochester, NY, I needed a 64 GB SD card because I filled my 16 GB with video on short notice with no place to offload them to. Apparently TWO FUCKING WALMARTS (and it had to be Walmart, since no other place was open because 11 PM) were sold out of SD cards completely. The third one had only 4 GB cards or 64 GB. Just how.

That means they're not getting any cheaper.

Also, I have no interest in a >5in screen. 4.7 has always been my sweet spot.
