Guys, HTC Desire 610 or LG G2 mini?
Lg G2 full size
Lg G2 full size
I wish, that's beyond what I can afford.
If you're gonna get a low-end phone get a Moto G. Period.

Just got myself a second-hand Nexus 7 2013 and its my very first Android device (currently all our devices are iPods, iPhones and iPads) so yay for that. Bought it for 90 euro and it will arrive tomorrow.
I am pretty much a power user and like to change every little bit, did the same thing to my iPhone and i am pretty sure the same thing can be done with the Nexus 7, are there any guides/links/tips/apps that i need to know and can try out? I liked to perform little gimmicks on my iOS devices like installing Windows and implanting alternative task managers, unlock screens and such.

From reading reviews about the Nexus, the thing i see popping up the most about it is that the Nexus 7 pre-isntalled Android version isn't really made/designed for tablets and feels like a phone. Do i basically need to install an alternative ROM?
More Samsung perils here. (Most likely already solves my question but still)
I'm mostly asking this because I'm curious here, in a attempt to understand phones better.
About a month ago my mom's GT-I8190 started showing up charging while it is NOT plugged in at all.
Only quick fix is to shut it down, remove the battery and start it up again. A simple reboot is not enough, and we recently bought a counterfeit battery off eBay (my GT-I9001 was running from a counterfeit of 5 euros as well until that fucking kid made it explode, because he mistreated the poor thing by throwing it in a rubbish bin with moisture all over) which results in a better battery life despite the CPU clocking to 100%, but the main issue still persists.
The power level also has a habit of freaking out. About the same as the user on the last page has.

I just rooted it and I'm making it charge now to make a attempt to wipe the battery stats and make it it generate a new one when it's fully charged.
I also checked a few weeks earlier if the Touchjizz rom is the cause, but the problem occurs too on Cyanogenmod 11.

Is this fixable or do I have to take out the holy water to find out if it has been possessed by the devil?
Made some excuses to myself to replace my moto g with a nexus 5. Totally worth it.

Not really. I've never understood why people think that pure android isn't a good tablet OS. I love it.
Regardlesss, you can mess with a lot of stuff just by installing new launchers, icon packs, custom widgets, etc. If you want to start flashing ROMs, you'll have to root (which is fairly easy, just make sure the root method you use is made for your specific hardware, firmware, and android version). IMO there's really no reason to root anymore, though.
I don't know how much you know, but I do want to make clear that Rooting is not jailbreaking. What a jailbreak accomplishes on iOS is basically a checkbox in the settings on android. Rooting is more powerful than that.

Wasn't one of the good things about the Nexus series that they were pre-rooted or something in the likes of it?

Not exactly, you still need to unlock and root them yourself, but it's stupidly easy. There's nothing like an encrypted bootloader or other annoying shit stopping you (HTC and Asus come to mind)
Wasn't one of the good things about the Nexus series that they were pre-rooted or something in the likes of it?
if you want to unlock bootloader, it's safest to do it right away when you get it, get root, and then use bootunlocker
unlocking bootloader on nexus wipes userdata

It seems like i fatfinger keys a lot more compared to the default HTC keyboard. The autocorrect is only marginally better.
Swype master race
Minuum but only on my phone master race.
Honestly after using my N7 2013 for the past few days I have to say, Android (at least 4.4) actually fits this form factor incredibly well. Everything feels...right. My Moto G now feels kind of cramped in comparison. :v:
I tried out a bunch of different ROMs but stock feels the best right now, oddly enough. Though I am using Xposed for some little things. (avoiding GravityBox like the laggy plague)
In the last two days my Dad has sat on his Nexus 4, cracked the screen, lost touch response on the lower half of the screen, ended up accidentally formatting the phone because of random touch glitches and then after ordering a new screen and digitizer found out that the screws inside have a factory defect and are cross threaded making them literally moulded into the phone. Not his week I guess.

looks like LG got jealous of the moto 360

Get a new battery that isn't broken, the fuel gauge can't accurately determine state of charge presumably because the voltage droop under load is too far out of spec. You may also have a bad USB port.
Either your battery needed to recalibrate the relationship between voltage and charge, or it's just failing.
Looks like it just recalibrated. Haven't had any more problems yet.

Well they actually have enough bezel to put the display drivers into.
I might actually get this one if it isn't too expensive, mainly because the 360 is too classy for me and that looks just like a normal watch.
Let's just hope the battery is better than the LG G.

I would take software reviews of the N7 with a grain of salt. There have been quite a few changes in Android since its release so not everything will be the same. But if your talking about the "phablet" interface, then yes, it is different from other tablets in that regard. You will need to root and use a custom ROM that has the changed interface or set the DPI lower yourself. Note that it will also affect applications too, so if they have an alternative layout for larger tablets, your N7 will use it too (to varying degrees of success). Some ROMs have the ability to set DPI for each app independently of the rest of the system for this reason.

Hey everyone, I've been due for a phone upgrade for almost 3 years now but haven't upgraded yet, I was going to wait on the iPhone 6 but then I remembered that I've wanted to switch over to Android phones for awhile now
Anyone has suggestions as to what Android phone I should go for?
It'll be my first one, my entire family has Android devices except me.
