Alright so my dad replaced his screen and digitizer for the his Nexus 4, but the new one keeps cutting out. The display works fine but the touch screen will respond for a bit, then stop working, then respond and so on. There is no specific pressure point that makes any difference and putting the old one in solves the problem, but obviously the old one is half broken anyway. Faulty spare part? Any idea what could cause it cutting out every few seconds?
Is around 1.5 days normal for a 3300mAh battery (Optimus G Pro, 5.5") with around an hour of screen-on time a day or is it getting around time to replace the battery in this thing? [editline]2nd September 2014[/editline] No particular wakelocks or anything, everything's greenified, it sleeps normally, etc.

He replaced his screen on his S3 and every few minutes or so the screen would stop receiving touch inputs, turning the screen on and off would fix it.
So what's a good app for managing college schedules and all that?
So what's a good app for managing college schedules and all that?
Google Calendar
Google Calendar
I already have that and use that. I was thinking more for actual school stuff. Throw in some notes or something, reminders with messages on it, not just events.
five nights of freddy is fucking awesome and addicting.
I already have that and use that. I was thinking more for actual school stuff. Throw in some notes or something, reminders with messages on it, not just events.
Reminders and notes I just use either Keep, or Google Drive.
What's the best mobile browser out there? I switched between opera, chrome, Firefox but they all aren't really satisfying. I'm gonna give dolphin browser a whirl, but I wonder if there are better browsers.

So apparently this can happen http://www.reddit.com/r/nexus5/comments/2fbo2p/_/
I'm definitely going to buy the QX1, but should I add a SW3 or SB Talk? I already own the SB so I'm not too sure. What's your opinion on the new wearables? (I like that they've gone for Android wear on the SW3) [editline]3rd September 2014[/editline] Also, is the PS4 game thing compatible with Z2?
Apparently Sony Z3 is released in October. https://www.komplett.se/k/kcf.aspx?id=12284 (Swedish site)
New Samsung Note is weird. I thought I would have bought this iteration but I'll pass :(
New Samsung Note is weird. I thought I would have bought this iteration but I'll pass :(
Care to elaborate? I am still on my Note1 and I am looking to upgrade, Note4 was one of the phones I would consider (and then get rid of stock Rom)
So what's a good app for managing college schedules and all that?
A+ Timetable [editline]3rd September 2014[/editline]
Is around 1.5 days normal for a 3300mAh battery (Optimus G Pro, 5.5") with around an hour of screen-on time a day or is it getting around time to replace the battery in this thing? Using estimates from the Optimus G, scaled up to the battery size of the G Pro, it should last 36 hours on standby with 4 h 30 min screen on, but if you're only using 2 hours screen on time, it should last about 72 hours. EDIT: basically, it should only drain 1% per hour on standby

Anyone got the link for Holo steam? I've put CM11 on my Z2 now and made it look like Android L so it looks really out of place.

Well, 2 days without use and my M7's battery's at 38%. Wakelock terminator be workin! I might consider using a different kernel with it, although I wouldn't know what would be best for me.
No Canadians allowed
Fucking americans.
I am still on my Note1 and I am looking to upgrade, Note4 was one of the phones I would consider (and then get rid of stock Rom)
Don't do this, buy a phone that isn't garbage from the day you turn it on instead and enjoy that.
have roughly £300 what do want a decent display and camera good custom roms & minimum bloat microSD & removable battery
have roughly £300 what do want a decent display and camera good custom roms & minimum bloat microSD & removable battery
To exclude the microSD you could get a 64GB OnePlus One which has a replaceable battery
To exclude the microSD you could get a 64GB OnePlus One which has a replaceable battery
It doesn't. You have to take a interior cover off to unplug the battery (which voids warranty) and the battery is glued in. It is pretty easy to replace compared to a lot of other phones with non-replaceable batteries, but you'll be voiding warranty.
Anyone got the link for Holo steam? I've put CM11 on my Z2 now and made it look like Android L so it looks really out of place.
It'd be better to get it from my website, it's always up to date there. http://holonation.co.uk/
Don't do this, buy a phone that isn't garbage from the day you turn it on instead and enjoy that.
So buy an outdated Nexus 7 or Nexus 10 then?
So buy an outdated Nexus 7 or Nexus 10 then?
Those are tablets.
