Running omnirom on my Moto G now thanks to a reccomendation. Pretty good, sort of annoying that it doesn't have a theming feature (unless I haven't seen it).
don't forget about the occasional share the picture or else bullshit or similar.
We actually don't have those, at least not for a good while. A lot of "funny" pictures and videos, though.
I'm thinking about getting the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4". Anyone have any experience with one?
well today my driving instructor dropped everyones phones, mine included, from about 3-4ft onto concrete. so now my back case is scratched/cracked/chipped, and i have 3 nice dings on my phone. to make things worse, we're planning on switching to t-mobile in the next few weeks and att is gonna charge us $700ish if we don't repair everything.
Man, your driving instructor is a dick.

Sounds like your instructor is buying you a new phone
how.. why..
It was the range and for some reason you couldn't just mute your phones, like they normally let you do when you actually go out driving on the roads. Soooo i guess i'm gonna get a quote from samsung, get a receipt, then present it all to the driving school on sunday/monday. [editline]7th September 2014[/editline] I also have like 4 witnesses, one of those was right there when it happened. So things will work out pretty well if it goes to small claims court. [editline]7th September 2014[/editline] the dings are all in the corners so it might be fixable.

did the instructor actually render anyone's phone inoperable? (broken screen etc)? I think I'd like to drop him on concrete too if he did that to my phone.
Does anyone know any other sms app that does chat heads besides hover chat? Hover chat is really good at the heads but terrible as an actual sms app. I tried floatifications with the sms plugin but wasn't impressed
This is why I have a case on my phone. I drop it all the time and the case absorbs everything.
did the instructor actually render anyone's phone inoperable? (broken screen etc)? I think I'd like to drop him on concrete too if he did that to my phone.
I didn't see anybody elses phones, but i think mine was the only phone that had its battery come out.
This is why I have a case on my phone. I drop it all the time and the case absorbs everything.
I wish I had a case for my phone but the only good case is not available in my country. This: http://www.spigen.com/lg-g2-case-slim-armor.html
I just use a cheapo rubber case for my phone, bought for 8 bucks. Not sure if it will absorb drops, but at least it protects against scratches. It doesn't even give a fuck to get flung on the rough surface of my desk, haven't noticed any scratches on the back so far.
I was checking how much it'd cost to buy the case from the UK with some screen protector and it was quite affordable. Then I googled something about screen protectors for G2 and found that there's some issues with them, causing the screen go unresponsive at times. Now I'm really uncertain whether to buy a screen protector or not. I'd really like to hide the annoying scratches on the screen.
The only time I have any problem with my g2's screen is if my fingers are wet, screen protector or not.
Yeah sometimes my G2 will think something is touching it even when it isn't. Usually happens if there's water on the screen or it was against something warm so it detects heat. Turning the screen off, wiping it, and turning it back on usually fixes it, however
Also, the screen on my G2 has a spot that turns yellow after the phone gets a little hot and it's really noticeably against white backgrounds. [editline]8th September 2014[/editline] I just wonder what they'll say at the shop when I come with a phone that has multiple scratches on screen (only one that's clearly visible), sides of the plastic case slightly cracked and the logo fallen off, and I want a warranty repair for this yellow spot thing.
So recently I changed my phone plan and now it has unlimited SMS (before I had this stupid 2500 limit that was only text and the usage counter was stupid by over counting) with unlimited Picture and Video messaging, something I've never used but I'm sure it's the same as picture sending on hangouts or whats app and video sending on Telegram plus shitty old compression and file/resolution size limits. I got more minutes per month that I will never get close to using, 6GB of data that I will actually use and Caller ID so I know who the hell is calling. Included is BYOD discount as I'm using my Nexus 5. I basically called up customer service which transferred me to retentions department which then transferred me to the back office to give me this. Many hours on the phone and some more phone calls later, I have all of this. Although I am still with Rogers, no other company would be even close to match the 6GB for $35 (which goes for $65/month in today's shitty Canadian Telecom markets) at the monthly price point and I guess they can't give stuff to new customers because I have no loyalty to Bell or Telus, even if I do have home phone and home Internet with Bell, they didn't give me shit. Anything on the website is what they can give apparently. Oh well, Rogers works. Oh and apparently the account is a business account. Mom got brand new Moto G LTE with $0 down payment, more minutes that she will ever use, caller ID, unlimited SMS/Picture/Video Messaging, 400MB of data that she will probably never use all of it. Apparently the plan is called the 400MB Loyalty Plan. A bunch of discounts and waived fees were included so the savings will be a lot. She is now learning to add contacts, send SMS and use What's App and use Android. I guess I stopped her from using iOS and getting an iPhone which wouldn't be $0 down payment anyways. Both numbers received unlimited data for a month, 12 months of discounts and some other stuff. Both two lines end up to be $120 including (Canadian tax) per month which is a much better deal that the $70-80 minimum that only gives you 500MB of data a month depending on carrier. Fido and Koodo did have more data that could have worked out for mom but it would cost more than her Rogers plan if adding a subsidized phone. Overall the plan that I was able to negotiate was probably the best that I could have got. I know other people that got sweeter deals but it's because they have more loyalty and have a massive business account under it. It was worth the 5 hours on the phone. TL;DR: got sweet new phone plans with data and everything by negotiating Now to work on my home Internet service, the 5/1 is meh.
i've decided to install a custom rom on my tablet, because why not, getting bored of touchwiz lets just hope i won't screw up hard
Uh. Wait wat? I had like 17 cents on my PayPal and pressed buy on a 75 cents app so I could assign my PayPal with my Google account and now 75 nonexistent cents got removed from my account, the PlayStore crashed and I got the app. How does that work? [editline]8th September 2014[/editline] Wait a minute, I can just deduct shit from my bank account without me physically being at my bank and confirming the transaction? How did I not know that?

My PayPal is linked to my bank account so I can use my PayPal like a debit card.

Getting a $30 overdraft fee because you made a transaction for 25c more than what you have is bullshit. :F
Well that's shit, do I have time to go to the bank and fill it up before I get fined?
Well that's shit, do I have time to go to the bank and fill it up before I get fined?
paypal direct withdrawal is basically instant
Well that's shit, do I have time to go to the bank and fill it up before I get fined?
You usually have until the end of the bank day. It depends on the terms of service for your account for how much you get fined, but usually its by the end of the bank day at 5:00 PM. You may even get the fee waived if you talk to someone and you have the cash to get a positive balance again. Its worked for me at Wells Fargo.
Oh thank fuck, nicely asking for a refund got me out of the red. I do NOT have the money or the nerve for this kind of shit right now. Thanks for the advice, people.
