Guys I've got a Nexus 5 but I'm really liking the OnePlus One. Should I just get one and sell my Nexus or should I wait until something like a OnePlus 2 comes out?

Only reason to change to 1+1 is bigger screen, better battery, and arguably better camera. And maybe its stock rom and look of the phone, but that is up to each person. Are those reasons good for you? If really yes, then maybe change. 1+2 will probably come in 2015, but we dont know when.
1+2 will not come in 2015. if it does, it will be very late in to 2015

I hope so, because what I want is proper use of 64 bits architecture in Android, and good CPU for that. 810 gonna launch later in 2015.
how does it gain power towards the end? its not charging?
There is no way to determine the actual state-of-charge of a Li-Ion battery. The 100% and 0% points are set using maximum and minimum voltage, and then the rest of the range is estimated using current. Gary put a lot of stress on his battery by constantly tethering while charging, so I'm guessing that the current sensor is a little bit messed up. It probably overestimated the drain while his screen was on, and then corrected itself after the current dropped when he turned his screen off. Or something like that; I'm not a battery scientist.

It sounds about right though. Heavy power draws can cause the voltage to drop, so the phone prematurely thinks the battery is dying. If you let it go full stop to cool down, the battery meter will go back up.
Aww yiss finally got rid of my Windows Phone and came back to my loving caring android. Last one I had was a Motorola Defy running 2.3, now I got a 2nd gen Moto G runnning 4.4.4 and oh God it's so fucking gooood.
Anything I should know? Any tips for a (re?)begginer? Apps games etc

I still wonder how many dull charging cycles I've been through so far. There doesn't seem to be a away to find the counter or there isn't a counter at all.
I was looking to buy a Nexus 7, but they're out of stock on Google Play?
Newegg seems to have them in stock, but you might want to consider waiting for the Nexus 8. I love my Nexus 7 though.
I think I'm finally going to upgrade my HTC Evo 3D on Virgin Mobile to a HTC One M8 on Sprint. I'm so excited!
Depending where you are(almost everywhere) Sprint service sucks dick.

I'm in the Pittsburgh area, it's not that bad for me. I have a tower right beside my house.

Getting a Sprint plan is preferable, but if problems start occurring around here (LTE was deployed in my area in just the past 3 months) I'll probably go with Verizon, on my family's plan. I don't want to share a plan with my family though (I'd only be able to use about 1GB at most a month). Sprint's unlimited plan is pretty tempting.

The M8 gets pretty good CDMA and LTE reception in my experience (compared to my GNex). So it might not be a big issue. Then again I'm on Verizon, so the only time your not on LTE is when your truly in the boonies. But if you had any trouble spots before, they may not be as bad now, if the EVO 4G had worse radios (which it probably did).
I can get 2 bars of EVDO in a 100 year old Quartzite building behind two walls, so it can't be that bad. :v:
Just borked the screen on my s4. First mobile screen I've ever broken. What's a cheap 4g phone that works on Verizon?

The only place I'd really have problems is inside school, where I only get 0-1 bar but still retain my 3G (Evo 3D is WiMax, no WiMax here, only LTE), and the radios for my phone are indeed shit, so as long as the M8 even slightly improves reception then I should be completely fine.

It also shouldn't kill itself and overheat searching for signal either when I'm in situations where I get no signal. When I do get situations where the signal is bad, it doesn't get significantly warmer and the battery drain is fairly minimal. Big contrast to my past phones where they nearly overheat trying to do so.
When I feel like using up my phone battery on the way home, I run an open wifi network for everyone on the bus because why the fuck not. 30-50 people on it, 20 or so are on their phone.

Uh, yikes. I'm not sure what bonehead though this was a good idea. Google will require you to post your address publicly on your app page if you are a developer.

What are you talking about, everyone who makes apps is obviously a professional, they can just list their company address right? :v:

PO boxes also cost money, about $100 a year here
Wow 5GHz wifi us like LTE, shitty ass wall penetration.
God damn it, has the Nexus 6/X been announced? Or even said it's coming?

I haven't seen any official announcements, hints, teases or leaks. I think people are getting excited over nothing
Probably next month like last year.
Of course right after I buy my OPO Nvidia announces fancy graphics cards. I guess a new computer part can wait though, transitioning to android is gonna be a new experience along with the fancy phone around it.
Sharing one OPO invite here since this is where I got mine too. Only redeem it if you're actually going to buy the phone, I believe you have 24h to buy the phone once you redeem the invite? I don't remember how it worked exactly.
Anyway, here you go: https://account.oneplus.net/invite/claim/NZIF-EL5G-A3YA-B7R7

Well crap, I am still stuck with new phone choice, thinking of getting Note 4 but on the other hand it has a shitty, crap-packed OS and interface.
Wish there was a company that lets you pick Body, materials, color, screen size, OS etc.. and then they assemble them. Something like Project Ara.
I'm sure this question comes up a lot, but I couldn't find a good answer. If I were to switch to an android handset from my iPhone 5, which one would you recommend the most? Except samsung handsets
