I cut mine myself with scissors, used a reference sheet to see where to cut, and a nail file for smoothing it out. Not hard at all.
I took mine to a phone carrier's store and they used a tool to cut it down. Started getting SIM disconnects a month or two later so I just bought a new SIM and haven't had a single problem since. Fucking nano SIMs

what screen brightness were you using?
On my friend's Moto-G now. This is a nice phone, it's like a Nexus 5 Mini :v:
Although the Motorola Rom is a bit shit, there's a constant 2nd signal bar for the 2nd sim, which is always blank because I don't have a sim there
5.9in Moto nexus 6?
huh..rumor mills are churning..

and maybe Google is making a 5.2in version from looking more into it, of course if they are even remotely true
Thinking about geting the HTC One Mini 2.
Yes? No?

Like 15%, which sounds dim but isnt.
The GT-S5300 Galaxy Pocket. I have one of those, it's a cool, tiny phone, I don't recommend it for battery and programs. I installed 5 programs and my battery goes down 4 every minute and my ram get's filled up way to easily and it slows down my phone. Only recommended for messages and phone calls. Overall, it's not that bad.

Problem solved.

Damn. I already have like 2500 coins from some old Amazon promotion.

you must have been indoors the entire time.
Also every other radio was pretty much off for the most part.

well yeah, i'm not going to read through Civil War on a park bench.
if i play GTA:SA on my oneplus one the screen gets so hot that it's unbearable. it also starts flexing around the top (especially the backplate is very flexible)
[editline]24th September 2014[/editline]
otherwise it doesn't really get too hot during regular use. but the fact that the heat goes towards the screen really bugs me
Same happens on the Nexus 5, it just becomes super uncomfortable.
It's probably a bad idea to stick a hot phone like that outside in the cold or in a freezer or fridge to cool it down :v:
Jesus christ XDA has some hardcore white knights. I provided constructive criticism on a ROM update, the developer appreciates my critique, then the white knights jump in with the whole "DON'T LISTEN TO HIM BRO, HE SHOULD JUST GO BACK TO STOCK".
I think they might need a change in culture if they can't handle a different opinion or don't want feedback
They should probably just call themselves the Android Nexus
most of them probably slap disproportionately large tits all over their phones anyway
Hey guys, I'm looking to pick up a new phone in the next couple of days and I was wondering what to get. I have roughly 700USD and I'm on AT&T, not eligible for upgrade. I was looking at the 2nd gen Moto X, but is there something out there that's just strictly better, or etc?

Xperia Z3 (Compact?), awesome battery life, solid phone, good camera. Something cheaper (half as your limit) - OnePlus One, but probably not for your carrier.

If the one + one supports all the frequencies AT&T uses for LTE and such, it shouldn't be an issue.
Xperia Z3 is waterproof though and probably easier to aquire when it does come out.

Is it not out yet? When does it come out? Would it be a better option than the Moto X2?
[editline]25th September 2014[/editline]
Or the 1+1?
Is it not out yet? When does it come out?
According to sonymobile.com/us/ the z3 compact is out, but the z3 is still pre-order only.
I prefer larger phones (but not phablet sized), does the Z3 have a release date in the US yet?
They just posted this on FB:
The wait is over… Xperia Z3 series is hitting the shelves now! It's time to order great here:

Sony Mobile is sending out invites to the US media for an event being held in New York on 9 October 2014. The invite has a #DemandGreat tagline hinting that we’re likely to hear about Sony’s US plans for the Xperia Z3 series. We already know that the Xperia Z3 is landing on T-Mobile US, but Sony may have secured the handset on additional carriers (Verizon maybe?) We’ll bring you word as soon as we hear more.

Is it not available on AT&T then? Or would it work fine if it was an unlocked version?

No info on whether or not it will be released through AT&T, but looking at the specs sheet, http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_z3-6539.php, looks like it will support AT&T LTE. As long as it has bands 4 and 17, I think, it will work unlocked.
Also remember Sony's 10% education discount does apply to phones, I'm going to switch from a Z1 to Z3.
I guess I just need to figure out when it's coming out, then. How much better is it than the 1+1?
The Z3 looks pretty good! How good is Sony about updates though?
Sony is one of the faster OEM's to update their devices to the latest Android version. The development side of things are great with tools and everything for custom ROM developers too.
Hmm. That sounds good from Sony. Know of any phones of theirs that have kitkat, a quad core, and go for near $150 used?
Still can't decide on which phone to get,
Previous Considerations: Z3, S5, Note 4.
Current Considerations: Moto X, LG G3, Nexus 5, OnePlus One.
God damn it, Nexus X rumors keep floating around that it's coming out soon.
Rumors that make me wanna wait:
Snapdragon 805,
4k Video Camera,
Android L,
5.9" Screen,
Something like 565 PPI,
Also knowing it's Nexus, I assume it's price is not gonna fly up sky-high to over 600 EUR.
Makes me really want to wait another month and use my shitty Galaxy Y for now.
If I am considering Nexus 5 I think it's really wise idea to just wait for Nexus X in that case.
Good thing for Apple users; Just get newest iPhone and you're sorted, not be stuck in hard shit like me.
Darn. Looks like Verizon and Sony haven't always had a great relationship.
