Should I just go with... that rom instead of cyanogenmod? What do you guys think
And hope the IMEI number isn't reported.
A lot of jurisdictions can't do anything about a reported IMEI. Canada is getting a blacklist by September 30, 2013. But right now, if you report a stolen IMEI in Canada, it's only used to give that phone back to the owner if the thief happens to be raided or someone buys the phone used and happens to realize it's stolen somehow and turns it in.

Max quick, go get some treatment or you will end flashing thousands of roms like me.
Does Reddit have a Toxx clause type thing at all?
Does Reddit have a Toxx clause type thing at all?
Lol no. Reddit has almost no moderation compared to forums like FP and SA. You can say whatever the hell you want as long as you don't link to CP.

I haven't tried Paranoid Android by itself before, but I've heard a lot of good things about Paranoid Android. I'd suggest that you just try it out and see if you like it or not.
Does anybody have any idea why whatever I do to my GT-i5800, it won't root?
I need to replace the motherboard of a Samsung Galaxy S3 (i9300), would a motherboard of any of the other Samsung Galaxy S3's work? Ie this one:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-S3-i747-AT-T-UNLOCK-Fully-Functional-Logic-Main-Mother-Board-/161035877032 ?
And would there be an issue that it's verizon/AT&T and so on? I can use about 500$ before I'm not saving money by fixing it this way.
Shameful self-quote.
Shameful self-quote.
If you're using $500, you may as well buy a used phone. I got my One for $450 a couple weeks back.
You can then try to sell off your broken S3 for scrap.
I kind of like the Steam app's current UI, and I don't even know why.

Go with whatever you feel best with. Personally I don't like of Paranoid Android's features, they feel gimmicky to me. I mean they look cool but then after a bit of thinking about it I feel like they would just get in the way more often than not. I've always been more of a "Give me Vanilla+" type of guy, so I like Cyanogen. Though for the foreseeable future I won't flash any ROMs on my Galaxy S4.

One example is PIE. I feel that it's more in the way than actually helpful.
So many people must be eating their dicks right now...

HTC also provided another interesting tidbit: it's currently "examining the best way to support early adopters of the One" that may prefer the stock Android experience over Sense, perhaps by way of an AOSP ROM. The company isn't providing specifics on that front just yet. Still, if you're a One owner feeling burned by today's announcement, there may be hope.
Also, is the HTC One really the HTC One without Sense? There's some pretty neat software features in there that I wouldn't want to get rid of, like the remote control and Zoe. I also think it's a snazzy looking skin.

Is PIE the one where you don't have your traditional home, menu, etc. keys but you have to swipe up from the bottom to access them? Because that's exactly what I was referring to. And for the halo thing I think I would rather have my notifications sit in my status bar that I can pull down, and then have the pop up app or whatever.

Exactly, i just can't see myself using those features at all after fiddling with the settings for a day or so.

II know this is a couple pages ago, but I want to point out that Motorola is owned by the great and powerful Goog. Their latest software rollouts have been beautiful pieces of near stock smoothness. This is coming from the guy who was ready to break his Razr Maxx over his knee on ICS. Their build quality beats all for toughness and now their software matches. My faith in them is restored.
So many people must be eating their dicks right now...
I've been looking at this quote for a while now and I still can't make any sense of it
do you try and eat your dick when you're angry?
"Have you every been so angry that you ate your own dick?"

I have no idea how it happened, but the actual display on my Droid Razr managed to crack. :v:
The touch screen was still working and no visual cracks on the outside. I was baffled that the colors were so distorted but after some time I figured out that the display had cracked somehow.

Nothings invincible, but I'd take Motorola's build over any of Samsung's bullshit edge-to-edge glass and awful plastic chassis any day. The only phone build better may be the One, and the glass there is still a bit too close to the edge for my tasted.

Wasn't implying that the build quality should have been near invincible, just saying that I found it kind of weird. :v:

I don't know, the plastic case seems to have a lot of give. I've dropped Samsung phones before without cases and the back battery compartment just fell off with no visible damage. Compare that to the HTC's Aluminum or Iphone's glass backs which can scratch and shatter if you even look at it funny. Not to mention it's loads easier to repair a Samsung product.

"Have you every been so angry that you ate your own dick?"
A bunch of people said that on Reddit apparently.
I understand. Yeah, I've actually been worried at it that with my Maxx, though. Like, when u drop it or hit it on something, I don't even check the surface of the phone, the first thing I do is turn on the screen. On second thought, though, I would think the actual screen/digitizer would be more likely to fail than the comparatively tougher glass and frame on impact.

My dad tore into his razr when he thought the battery was defective. If you have the right tools, they're easy to work on. And the plastic may be fine on its own but it transfers all the force to the internal components and the glass.

Still a bigger pain in the ass than just popping off the battery cover. Also it seems to me that a lot of the energy goes into the back case when it pops off in a fall, helping to absorb a lot of the impact force. I still use phone cases so this is irrelevant though.

Another reason to not bother with the Nexus version. I like gimmicks. I mean Beats Audio is literally just an equalizer so who cares, but still. The remote in my GS4 is the hottest shit, and the camera features are a big part of the appeal to me as well.
Te X-Phone is gonna be the one to get. I feel like these others are just so google can start doing what it wants with Motorola and the other OEM's can't call it favoritism. And if Motorola's CEO wasn't lying, Google might sell the X phone at a loss or near-loss price, putting it with the Nexus 4 in affordability.
Also, assembled in the great state of Texas, Y'all.

To be more clear, the Camera is still awesome, but you can't take Zoes or any weird shit like that. Just instal a third party image editor.

Sense 5 is good anyway so why anyone would want the "nexus experience" (apart from updates) is beyond me.
