Snapchat crashes on 4.4 as well so..
Yes but does it still crash the OS like it does in 4.4? Because I was wondering if they've patched it up
It's not that big of a deal, my phone number is correct if call/text somebody, it's just that under about phone> status> my phone number, the temporary one is still listed which confuses some apps.
Phone app -> settings -> Additional settings (under other call settings) -> (wait for it to read settings) -> My Phone number
iPhone crapped out recently, on it's last legs.
But good news, Nexus 6 comes out soon!

It's never crashed the OS for me. It just crashes the camera every 5 pictures forcing me to reboot my phone.
Does unlocking the bootloader, getting a custom recovery and rooting a Oneplus One disable OTAs? I already asked this, but that was only about rooting and nothing else..

not that i'm aware of.

You might need to root it again though. (afaik unless you disable the Update CM recovery option in developer settings)

I never had much camera issues with Snapchat on the Nexus 5 on 4.4 PA or the dev preview of Android L 5.0. Sometimes the camera doesn't load but reopening the app fixes it all the time.
I started up Facebook today on my s4, and literally all it did was flash a white screen on top of black randomly. Had to restart my phone...
I love android sometimes. The shortcomings are so annoying after awhile.
Especially pressing the unlock button and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt, and if it does work, it doesn't register the first tap of my password so I instinctively tap my whole password and OK only to find that it only registers "111" instead of "1111" (don't judge me)

Honestly, the Android Facebook app is a huge bloated piece of shit. Just use the browser web app.
And if your using Samsung Touchwiz, that's probably another part of the issue.
I mean, if a Galaxy Nexus can be responsive and stable running Kitkat (which requires hacked drivers to even run), and is ancient by today's standards, I would be inclined to say that Android isn't really the issue. Its craptastic software.
Uninstalling the Facebook app alone will probably help performance for all we know.
PSA for anyone thinking about trying 5.0 preview on the N5: My battery life has gone from about 4 hours SOT to 2.5. The massive decrease in battery life is not worth the fancy animations. Hopefully the actual release fixes this.
I could be late, but the Shield Tablet is already being presented with Lollipop:

note the URL, too: ShieldTablet-lollipop
Maybe OEMs are finally understanding that people DO care about timely updates, which would be more than amazing.
I heard that for wind mobile, they don't bother pushing the phone number onto the sim card for some reason which is why I don't see my number on the same info page when I use my wind sim.
Three do this as well, it's a pain, though that may be because I transferred my number.
Jumped back to Paranoid Android to use CM theme engine but i really miss active display notifications from Omnirom, is it possible to use it on Paranoid Android? I really miss having my phones display turning on when i get an SMS or other notification.

I hope HTC makes good on their promise to upgrade their flagship phones to L within 90 days.
If they don't, they are in for a world of shit.

Thanks Google, I would have missed it.
Have some more 1+1 battery stats, 2+ days of battery life. You can still add some more hours of standby.

That would take about 10 days worth of uninterrupted uploading at max speed in this country. God damn.
That would take about 10 days worth of uninterrupted uploading at max speed in this country. God damn.
I've uploaded 6500 songs so far (in 5ish hours). So, 13 hours left. :)
how is your 17000 song collection only 100gb
A big of portion of it (35%?) is from mid 2000s, 160-256 variable bitrate. 108gb total.
how is your 17000 song collection only 100gb
Depends on average length of song and what format they are in.
I've got a folder with 15.5k songs and it is only 65GB and I've got another folder that is 140GB but with 5.5k songs.
And here I am without much of a collection at all and using Spotify for all of my music needs.
