Do people want to slap each other to death by turning their phone into a tank? Jesus christ that looks awful to use.
Yes, people do indeed want to turn their phones into a tank. Look at OtterBox cases. They are essentially tanks.
Phone itself might be ok apart for the yellow hue thing but god damn are the people behind it incompetent.
It was a tint, not this hue. And what you are talking about was fixed device wide on the 38R update. They effectively made the color temp of the display more blue which is fine to be honest.
Some people have this yellow tint on their display. Most people with the 1+1 do not have this issue. Mine apparently does but it's on the bottom part of the display where it is hidden because of the navigation bar, I use the phone in portrait mode most of the time and it's not noticeable in normal use at all. I essentially had to check in a dark room and take a photo of it to really see the minor yellow tint on the bottom of the display and is less visible at 25% or higher screen brightness. When you are using the device realistically, it's essentially not there. Just because some devices have it, it doesn't mean ALL of them have it.
Also they are not incompetent if they were able to actually run a start up, actually design and manufacturer a perfectly functional phone, advertise it online, sell it and get it known to be one of the top devices on the current smartphone market. Sure they ran into some marketing failures but all companies will run into them anyways. And remember, they are a start up company so they are clearly trying new things that most phone companies won't try.
Used to believe the stereotype that gold members have sense and are decent posters.
ijyt has just busted the stereotype.
Also, 2 weeks so far and I love the OnePlus One :v:

Nope, just 2 (3?) years and 2000 posts.
how do I root a device that isn't popular? I need root access on a vodafone 785 (smart 4 mini) but because it's a crappy budget phone, it seems hard to find anything for it
Become a dev and figure it out
[editline]25th October 2014[/editline]
Or get a phone that has dev support

Does it have "fastboot mode"? To test this shut down the phone, after that hold Volume up + Power button
If it has fast boot you might can use ADB for it.
On a related note, rooting my phone just now fixed the playstore startup crash. Now Xposed repo is down. Perfect timing.

Is that the Ultra Hybrid or the Ringke?
How is it, I'm thinking of getting one for the customization
With the 1+1 if you change to a different theme, does it change the look of some apps?
My WhatsApp and Gmail and all look a bit different, but I saw that Gmail was meant to have a material design update along with the Play store but mine don't look like the pictures. Not sure if the theme engine is overlaying it
Yes, Flux White for example change theme of the gmail and youtube, maybe some other apps. Mostly stock apps if even.
How do I stop it from changing app themes?

I can't decide between pre-ordering the Nexus 9 and just buying a Nexus 7 2013. Pre-ordering seems like a bad idea in general but I do need a new tablet, and the Nexus 7 is deprecated now.
Anyone can recommend an app that changes your wallpaper and lockscreen wallpaper automatically? I know there are several out there, but some of you might know a good one already.

I used to use this one with my own set of wallpapers:

Now I use an app that pulls photos from 500px.com from a set of categories etc:

I dunno if I should unlock my One M7's bootloader or not, and if I do I'm unsure about which rom to use.
My OnePlus One just randomly stopped reading my SIM, and I can't turn on Wifi or access my SD either. What is this?
Did you delete the pool ladder? Because that's an easy way to kill your sim.
Well, since I couldn't even boot properly anymore (bootloop) I figured it was a good time to finally root my OPO, since it comes with a free factory reset. Turns out it took the entire damn OS with it. Now I can't flash the 38R ROM from either TWRP or CWM...
Eh, I'll figure it out tomorrow.
adb push rom.iso, flash from twrp?
that's pretty basic
My phone wiped, and i couldnt detect it through adb. Put it in download mode and managed to get it to work with lg flash tool, granted thats with my G2 not a opo
are you sure you installed the adb drivers properly? if you've installed TWRP you've almost certainly enabled USB debugging.
Well my phone would only boot to the logo or twrp if I factory reset it. When I plugged it into my computer the drivers would fail to install.
[editline]25th October 2014[/editline]
I had recently wiped and reinstalled windows after my windows install commited suicide after adding a new hdd.
you need to manually install the ADB drivers most of the time
[editline]26th October 2014[/editline]
install google ADB drivers -> plug in phone -> device manager -> update driver software and select android ADB bridge
I have adb installed, it just didn't detect my phone.

adb != adb drivers
Is the Moto G the best sub-$200 smartphone on the market?
Thinking about getting this one with Verizon's $45/mo prepaid plan.
This will be my first smartphone so I'm not really sure what the market is like right now. I do know I don't want to spend over $200 though, and I don't need anything fancy.
