It blows my mind how good the One is at indoor photos. The 8X for my room lit up will take a photo at 1/12s and 1200 ISO. The One takes it at 1/15s and 640 ISO.
Photos from the One look good until you zoom in
How long does it usually take you guys to charge you S2? My girlfriend said it took 1.5 hours to charge from 0 to 60% on it. Not sure if thats normal.
I really don't like how get.cm identifies phones. Sometimes they use model codes (like i9305 or i777) and sometimes they use codenames (like toro or mango). I wish they would use full model codes for every phone like SamFirmware does. EDIT: at least I found this table on the Wiki for identifying my SGH-I747M. It's a d2att apparently (how does that make sense? what's d2? this isn't a Huawei Ascend D2...)
My SGSII's microphone is slowly dying and I'm looking for a new phone. My absolute minimum criteria are: Android 4+ 1+GB RAM 1+GHz 2+ CPU cores 4+ inch screen 8+ GB internal storage µSD slot According to some price-comparison site that leaves me with 101 phones. Now since I fucking HATE typing on a touchscreen I thought about getting a phone with a hardware keyboard, so I add that filter too and.... there isn't a single fucking phone left. How is this possible? Can you help me finding a good phone with a hardware keyboard? I don't care about the price btw.
I think there's a misunderstanding: my problem is completely unrelated to the nav bar [editline]31st May 2013[/editline] [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3797350/2013-05-31%2004.15.40.png[/t] It's about buttons like these in the upper right corner appearing; and because of them, menus appear below them. If they're not there (and they shouldn't since the S3 has a menu & back buttons below the screen), the menu would appear, centered, at the bottom of the screen
Oh right. Thought you were referring to the nav bar. As far as I know you can't disable those.
overflow button != menu button yes the hardware button triggers the overflow but technically they have separate intents [editline]30th May 2013[/editline] hardware menu buttons are a bad holdover the overflow button in the action bar can never be hidden shoulda bought a nexus
Except that it's hidden in the stock rom and by default in cyanogenmod, with an option to turn it back on.
ParanoidAndroid has a battery drain bug as I've found out overnight, so fuck it, I'm gonna stay with the tried & tested & most supported (CM)
If you need/want more features, then you should probably have a look at AOKP. A personal favorite must be RootBox (I think Bajee has a SG3 version as well?). Everything about it is lovely, in my opinion.
Depends on your price range, but the Nexus 4 will likely be the cheapest and one of the best to fit that bill.
No hardware keyboard, no storage. My SGSII has 32GB of storage (including the µSD card) and it's almost always nearly full and I regularly have to delete shit. If a phone has no µSD slot it better have 32-64GB of internal storage otherwise the only use I'd have for it would be as a paper weight.
The only option is a BlackBerry. I'm sorry..
Well fuck. I have a Playbook and I got it for free and still don't feel like it was worth the money. I guess I'll have to stick with my SGSII for a while longer. :(
I feel like I could type faster with a touchscreen swype keyboard than somebody using a hardware keyboard. Wether that would be the case, I don't know, but I'm pretty damn fast with it.

I even got used to my 3" nokia screen, and type pretty fast. I'm sure you could get used to a 4.5" screen in no time. Thou it's none of my business what you prefer.
I just use the 4.2 default keyboard.

I don't think I'll get used to them ever. I use SwiftKey and it's amazing compared to other touchscreen keyboards, but autocorrect still gets at least one word wrong every sentence or two and I'm typing far, far, far slower than I would like to.

Can never downgrade to any of these primitive non-expandable storage phones
I beat everyone with SwiftKey It just lags sometimes and especially in an Internet browser.
I might be able to type faster with a touchscreen one but nothing beats being able to touch type on a hardware keyboard Walking and texting is viable because you can still look in front of you

Anything shipping with a physical keyboard is going to be a downgrade.
I used to hate on-screen keyboards but Swiftkey is pretty amazing That said I find that even on my Nexus 7, the bigger size doesn't help with the accuracy issue at all
Swiftkey is awesome but I don't like how it learned "#HitlerDidNothingWrong" from a text or my twitter or some shit. I said that like twice as a joke stop recommending it after every sentence.

Is there something similar to WinDirStat available on Android?
Hold down the suggestion
holy shit, thanks [editline]31st May 2013[/editline]
Is there something similar to WinDirStat available on Android?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.diskusage&hl=en
I used to hate on-screen keyboards but Swiftkey is pretty amazing That said I find that even on my Nexus 7, the bigger size doesn't help with the accuracy issue at all
I can touch type on my tablet with SwiftKey. It is horribly slow in browsers though, and in most browsers correcting is buggy and thus a pain in the arse. Also, I can't be arsed to pay for swift key phone. Is it preposterous that I installed SwiftKey tablet on my phone? I mean it works fine... Touch typing is impossible on a phone, but it's still decent nonetheless.

That battery icon would make Apple's law department lose it's shit.

They could have made the same post saying "What HTC could have done with Sense".
