screen protectors make the phone feel considerably worse with touch gestures and things. i end up tearing them off after a while even the tempered glass ones. you need to spend a lot of money to get decent ones
I dunno, I used a plastic one on my N5 for ages and it felt exactly the same
I dunno, I used a plastic one on my N5 for ages and it felt exactly the same
It's honestly how you apply them, I got some hugely cheap plastic ones for my M7. After getting one on without any lifted edges or bubbles it felt exactly the same.
I did spend like 15 minutes getting the screen absolutely spotless, but yeah, there wasn't a single bubble or piece of dust under mine
I just put a glass one on and I honestly cant tell the difference
I just said fuck it and ditched them completely.. First thing I've noticed is that it's less fingerprint infected. I'd use to clean it so often, now I just don't care about it. Also the millions of scratches on the screen protectors were pretty distracting when I had them on.
It was so cold this morning when I woke up that my One M8's screen was covered in condensation.
My Orzly feels great and has none scratches. It was only 15$, so not that expensive. I can't really see it unless I want to. Cheap plastic ones are for sure worse.
i just ordered a screen protector from oneplus one with my order, i figure that will be fine
I haven't had a screen protector on my G2 for 6 months and it's flawless. I'd much rather replace my entire front housing for under $100 than pay for any more overpriced screen protectors. By the time my screen is scratched up and or broken the front housing will probably be damaged a little anyways. I love that my non-removable battery actually makes my phone more easily repairable in design.
Well, looks like my Nexus 9 is expected to ship in early 2015... Eh, gonna cancel my order and get my 550 bucks back. Maybe another time.
does anyone know what time of day the oneplus order usually updates? like when did you guys get your shipping email? I'm from the uk so my timezone is gmt+0 if that matters
just wait. it depends on what delivery you've got
Ill have to wait another day or two to be sure, but it seems like this new phone gets better reception than my old G2 too. Maybe it was a lemon too.
It was so cold this morning when I woke up that my One M8's screen was covered in condensation.
Winter is going to kinda suck this year since I don't have my handwarmer anymore. Also known as a Galaxy Nexus. The M8 is too damn efficient.
I got PushBullet today and its cool but ever since I got it, SMS messages on the lockscreen of my 1+1 aren't disappearing. I've opened the message and replied to it but it is just displaying on the lockscreen. Any ideas?
every time I see M8 i always say/think em-eight instead of mate
I prefer to call mine Mate.
every time I see M8 i always say/think em-eight instead of mate
That's always how I've done it.
I just ordered Nexus 9 yesterday, it will arrive in a week. I'll check out this build quality :p
Oh. It arrived today :D
Oh. It arrived today :D
How's the build quality, then?
New wallpaper. It's pretty ok (and animated) [t]http://i.imgur.com/Os7NYEB.png[/t] https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.androidworks.livewallpaperpotus&hl=en
New 1+1 OTA \o/ Fixes stuff. Also phone "feels" faster, but can be just ilusion. Also at boot, new ANDROID system logo at bottom, Lollipop-like.
Now I play the OTA waiting game
you can download the zip and install it with the recovery.
How's the build quality, then?
It's good imo. I don't have that soft back and the overall quality feels great [editline]7th November 2014[/editline] A little note: it isn't rock hard on the back, more like hard leather actually. It's far from what that video showed as mentioned though.
that's standard only the "SMS handler" app can mark texts as read. the SMS handler app is your default texting app, not pushbullet
Yeah but like I said I have opened the message in hangouts and it still shows. Only way to remove is to delete the message
moto x/g 2014 has apparently begun the lollipop soak test
Anyone who has a Moto X 2014, the Lollipop soak test OTA was captured: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-2014/development/ota-pure-edition-lollipop-5-0-t2932625 [editline]8th November 2014[/editline] Hoping/waiting for the Moto X 2013 soak test soon :v:
Nexus users' tears falling from everywhere [editline]8th November 2014[/editline] Regardless it's nice how Android OEMs are finally getting their shit together; Nvidia, Motorola and Sony have released 5.0 images to their phones before Google
Yeah man, I'm sad.. Still waiting for the proper update...
