Running a poll on what phone I should get for my upgrade
Upgrading from an iPhone 4, had it for nearly 3 years now
My carrier is AT&T
Agree for LG G3
Disagree for Samsung Galaxy Note 4/ Galaxy S4/ S5/ S6 etc
Funny for Samsung Galaxy Note Edge
Winner for Nexus 6 (not sure if I can wait on this though since my parents want me with a phone sometime soon so that they can call me whenever they need me)
Informative for the OnePlus One (going to be quite difficult to acquire this one since for my carrier it's currently unavailable for obvious reasons)
Heart if I should simply wait for the new x or y android phone to come out.
If any of the above choices aren't any good then reply

The OnePlus should be unlocked for any carrier, as long as you have the proper sized sim you can use anything with it.

It doesn't work with sprint or verizon. No cdma, gsm networks only.
Hm I don't know really what to do, I'm currently on a Nexus 4 and I want a new phone. I was holding out for the new Nexus however the Nexus 6 could well be too big and the price tag is a bit high. Now I'm not too sure what to go for, the Moto X, LG G3 and Xperia Z3 both look nice but I'm not sure, any suggestions? I was also considering the One Plus however it seems like they are constantly fixing pretty serious bugs so I'm not sure I want to put up with that.
Took my Z3 into the shower today. Tested the camera, then ran away in fear of breaking the thing

Is there supposed to be something covering the headphone socket?

I'll probably grab the OnePlus as soon as I receive an invite somehow.
Thanks!
I'm looking to upgrade from the Galaxy S2, preferably not into Samsung as I'm really tired with the bloatware dirtying up my menus
I liked the look of the Nexus series but no memory card slot killed it for me
Any suggestions? More obscure stuff like the OnePlus probably aren't feasible since I'm gonna get it with a contract.
Also, I'm not sure if this is an issue with newer phones, but on my S2 the internal memory was split in two. 2GB and 14GB. Is there any particular reason for this? I find it incredibly irritating that I can't even update my apps because it complains space is too low on the 2GB section but I have 10GB free on the other section and my external SD.

I always love a chance to nitpick: AT&T is not really a GSM network. They have GSM as a fallback, but most of the time, the initial network registration will be on the HSPA network. HSPA is based on W-CDMA, which is different from both GSM and CDMA2000. Also, AT&T's GSM network will be decommissioned by 2017.
Once Verizon gets VoLTE (which allows a phone to register on LTE), this distinction will be completely meaningless, but you still won't be able to use a non-Verizon phone on Verizon's network, not because of technical limitations, but simply because Verizon chooses to only let whitelisted devices register on their network. (For an example of that, see the Nexus 5 US version, which supports CDMA2000 and does work on Sprint, but simply isn't allowed on Verizon's network.)
TL;DR this would be more accurate: "No CDMA2000; GSM and HSPA networks only, and even if it had CDMA2000, it would never work on Verizon, only Sprint"

Serious bugs? Really? Maybe 5% people have any, if even that, and well, they are fixed by now. I never had problems with touchscreen or any other. This is really poor excuse.

be that as it may, those bugs went on for 6 months before finally getting fixed
it's unacceptable if they're trying to market themselves as a flagship

They made the headphone jack water resistant in like the Z1, so no you don't have to worry about the headphone jack being open.
Any major gripes with the Z3?
WiFi range is worse than the Nexus 4, other than that I can't think of anything
I don't know if cellular is shit on the phone, or if O2 is just a fucking atrocious network. Probably the latter
Started using Push Bullet, since then sometimes I've received a text, replied to it. A few minutes later I get a notification for the same message, load up my texting app and it hasn't sent my message.

What device are you using it on?
What device are you using it on?
One M8.

There always are bugs, even so called "flagships" have some nasty ones. For example last iPhone bug with no signal on new version.
One M8.
Try reinstalling it, I've never had issues with it with the Nexus 5 or 1+1.
If issues still continue, contact them.

except that signal bug was resolved in like 48 hours
the 1+1's many issues were maybe resolved just now
I downloaded hard time for android, its pretty fun and silly.
Probably my favorite android game.

I got that card too yesturday

or was it yesturday, time is a blur
I noticed chrome was using a lot of battery (sandboxed_process0 and other weird shit) so i switched to firefox and that increased my screen on time by about 1 hour.
I've narrowed down my search for a new phone to the LG G3 and Galaxy S5. Both seem to have some dumb things though, mostly the manufacturer UI shit which I really grew tired of with the S2. I've been reading reviews but they're pretty mixed on this topic, which one has it worse?

You can always use a custom ROM.

that's the joke I'm making
that phone's not used at all, it's just my daily alarm
I'm making fun of people on XDA who brag about getting home with 60% left with like 30 seconds of SOT :v:

What made you decide against Z3?
