Woo. Flashed my first image on my phone.
Lollipop you sexy beast I've been waiting for you.
i flashed my g3 with a pac-rom and the battery is fucking great now. i no longer go home with 20% battery. sitting on 80% battery with 1hr SoT and 8 hours uptime.

wow let's see how this goes..
so 1% battery drain per ~minute of screen on time on nexus 5 is bad, right?

Yes, what are you doing? And what makes you think 1 hour and 40 mins of SoT is acceptable?
I recently caved in and tried Spotify and I want it to run as my default (bluetooth) music player. I've been stumbling around trying to find out how to set this up. Does anyone know how to do it?
I've tried poking through options for both Spotify and Google Play Music (the current default), and neither has a priority/default setting. I tried looking through apps management and couldn't find anything on defaults there, either. Another suggestion I saw was to open the programs through the file browser, and I couldn't figure out how to do that, either. I did find the Spotify app package, it seemed to just be data, no executable files.
For reference I have a Motorola Droid 4 with Verizon, running Android v4.1.2. If you need more information, I'll gladly give what I can.

Like priority/default how? You mean the default application to use a file type?
When I hop in my car, the phone automatically connects through bluetooth to play music. I'd like it to launch Spotify to do so, not Google Play Music.

This app looks promising.

I don't have a Bluetooth audio device so I can't test it.

i'm confused
stock android launches absolutely zero apps when connected to the headphones bluetooth profile
It looks promising, but I'd like to keep as few programs running on my phone at any given time as possible. It's already running pretty terribly and I regularly get notifications that Facebook and Messenger aren't responding. Was hoping the phone could do it by default....

I wouldn't think that it's a headphones bluetooth profile, but I'm not sure. It's my car's speaker system and it has a bluetooth connection thing. 2013 Corolla.

Just poked around and it's "Phone audio" and "Media audio" profiles.

headphones profile, media audio profile, same difference
anyways, you should just be able to launch spotify and it should play through?
It plays just fine if I specifically boot Spotify. However, I'd like Spotify to be the default media player so I don't have to boot Spotify when/before getting in the car. As opposed to it Google Play Music, which is what currently boots when I connect.

no app should be booting at all?
stock android (droid3 is effectively stock for this issue) does not launch any applications on connection to the media audio bluetooth profile
That's odd, then. Mine automatically boots up Google Play Music when it connects to the Corolla's bluetooth.
oops
it's moto assist
open assist, find "play music while driving"
[editline]13th November 2014[/editline]
change google play music to spotify
Ohhhhh, alright. That makes sense. Thank you! Lemme go check that now.
[editline]13th November 2014[/editline]
Apparently I don't have Moto Assist installed on my device.

look for "smartactions" then
yay for fragmentation thanks verizon
I've got SmartActions, yeah. But there's none set up for connecting to bluetooth. Just Battery Saver, Low Battery Saver, and one for Meetings I set up. I guess I'll make one.

it might also be the car triggering it
moto assist would do it, but since you've got a droid 4 that doesn't count
Could be the car, yeah. Would also make sense, given everything that's been discovered so far. I've set up a Drive SmartAction, gonna go test it and make sure it works and doesn't try booting both Play Music and Spotify.
Im backuping now and will try to flash Lollipop on my 1+1 \o/
now that the bump tool has been released for the G3, which ROM do you G3 owners recommend? the only big ROM name I recognize is cyanogenmod, rest of them are fairly unknown to me
[editline]14th November 2014[/editline]
also, just making sure, will a titaniumbackup of user apps and system data cover messages, call history, whatsapp chats, etc?
Im not sure. For now I'm doing TWRP backup, I dont know if I need Titanium Backup, because it can read TWRP backup. I once on my old phone flashed stuff, had to backup sms and stuff too I think.
Im not sure if I care about history of calls or sms now.
I'm going to assume it'll bring everything with, that's what I remember it doing back when I had my Galaxy S2 at least. one last thing, wiping user data etc etc from TWRP, will that wipe the internal storage space? the backup was put on my internal storage rather than the SD card

I think you can choose what to wipe, and internal storage is one of the options, you can disable it and its ok for instalation.
Anyone else with a 32GB nexus 5 that flashed the Android 5.0 factory image and ended up with 16GB of storage according to the storage info?
A fix for that if you do get this is to factory reset. No idea why but it fixed it.
Just manually flashed Android L onto my Nexus 5 and it's uh, booting for quite some time now. Should I be worried?
[editline]14 nov 2014[/editline]
Never mind, it worked!
Been running L for a day now, pleased with it so far!
Im on Android L for now, Im missing my remaped hardware keys, and xposed. But I can live without that.
Ps. Anyone have a way to set long press function for a hardware key without xposed?
