I can confirm that my North American Qualcomm S3 is shit compared to Exynos.
Is there an easy way to uninstall every single non-essential app on my device? I wiped the device clean and suddenly all the apps that were slowing it down are back.
But hey, at least you don't have to deal with crazy wake lag from deep sleep.

The only way I can think of is rooting it and using Titanium Backup or something.
Trying to figure out how to unlock and root the N4 on Linux. So I got Ubuntu 13.04 and installed adb/fastboot and found this:
fastboot oem unlock
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery 'insert cwm image here'
Then I can flash SU. That sound right?
Hey is anyone getting lag on a camera app called procapture? For me it lags after the first photo...

I just go to /system/app and delete what I don't need like Apollo, CMFileManager, CMUpdater, DSPManager etc
I slept over it and decided I don't want to wait for a hardware keyboard phone which most likely won't come out EVER.
I did a bit of research and it looks like the Xperia Z and the SGS4 are my best options.
The Nexus 4 looks pretty good too, but there doesn't seem to be a not-ridiculously-tiny-storage option. How hard can it be to put 64GB in there? 64GB µSD cards are super cheap, why can't they put some cheap, but huge storage in there?

I would choose the Xperia Z just for it's design, but SGS4 might be better in hardware.

Fucking christ, this
Why are phone designers so obsessed with curvy smooth shit, bring back the bricks

Why the fuck would you remove CMUpdater jezus fuck. Fucking what.
Just like the Linux Kernel, it's bloat and you don't need it. :v:

"Free data" is pretty much a lie though. After 5 GB's, your speed gets cut down to 128 kbps. 5 GB is still a lot, but its not usable after 5 GB.

Welcome to every Australian internet plan
They do this to fiber
FUCKING FIBER
[editline]1st June 2013[/editline]
But it's not a 5gb cap, no
It's fucking 8
They actually offer 8gb gigabit plans
[editline]1st June 2013[/editline]
Going at full speed, you could steamroll your monthly cap in 65 seconds
Wow, 8 GB? I'm jealous. I usually hit 5 GB around the 20th of every month, the addition of 3 extra GB would really help. :v:

You don't find fiber net caps in Norway.
There is no data caps on any cable based internet in Denmark. (Not sure if it's a law or everyone's not douchebags). But I haven't seen unlimited data on phones (Except for company contracts).
I wish I had 5GB, I'm capped to 256kbps after 2.5GB.
Oh, we're complaining about mobile data plans again?
I have 500 MB per month, and if I go over, I get charged cash money for using more.
You're complaining about that? I have 100 MB per month on my phone :v:
Really weird bug, a couple of days ago I had to turn off and take battery out of my phone during an exam, since then when ever I turn my phone on or reboot it it wont get any signal and wont list anything under the IMEI, however as soon as I plug it into a usb or charger it will start working fine.
No idea what this is about, only minor inconvenience as it only happens when I turn phone off.
I tried flashing new room but still happens, now currently running: I9000 with CM10.1 RC4
Why the fuck would you remove CMUpdater jezus fuck. Fucking what.
Long story short, the official CM10(.1) is shit on the Galaxy S so I have to cook my own ROMs based on the CM source so there is no point in having the updater.
You're complaining about that? I have 100 MB per month on my phone :v:
Yeah, I used to have that actually, then I switched providers and now I pay $20 more per month for the 500 MB!

Don't buy the Xperia Z, it has an awful display. Best phones right now are SGS4, HTC One & Nexus 4

Why are they shit?
So, took the plunge and both rooted and switched ROM on my S3 (after a friend did it to his, always nice to have a test subject). Have to say it's pretty sweet so far. UI feels a lot smoother and all around nicer
Plus, after probably an hour of google searches and convertions, managed to get a hold of some ODST notification signals.
Made this in gimp while at it:

All in all, everything is now nicer. But next time i wont do it at midnight when needing to get up at 05:50 the next (current) day
Why are they shit?
Unimpressive kernel + fucks with internal partitions on phone and wipes everything in install process. You get 1.8GB for apps on regular ROM and only 1.4GB for apps with official CM. With my CM10.1 derived ROM, I can flash it directly over stock JVU from Odin if I want to instead of doing the stupidly long official CM install process.
I wish development for PadFone 2 was much more popular. I have the "flash every ROM I see" syndrome and it's hard to live life without flashing ROMs. There are no ROMs for PadFone 2! I want to die!
