1+1 Review http://www.anandtech.com/show/8242/the-oneplus-one-review
1+1 Review http://www.anandtech.com/show/8242/the-oneplus-one-review
The reviewer spends half of the review crying about the size of the device, amount of options and customization, and the camera app? Really? I love the size and stupid amount of options for everything and while the camera app isn't the greatest at night it's fuckin awesome in broad daylight. Also, you can always use one of the plethora of camera apps on the Play Store.

If it's bigger than the G3, there's no possible way it's as comfortable to use with one hand. The G2 is the perfect size in my opinion, the profile of the device is dead on for me. I'm quite disappointed we probably won't see devices of this size with flagship or better than 800/801 hardware for a few years just like how the Nexus 4/Moto G are still the best hardware of their size still. The G3 honestly disappointed me, if the screen didn't have crap sharpening and it was a touch smaller I would have definitely kept it.
any reccomended themes for my 1+1?
I like this one, has also some animations in it. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.giuros77.onel.grey
Got a Droid Turbo last night Really liking the ballistic nylon backing
Well that was faster than I expected: https://twitter.com/ChainfireXDA/status/535253476021116928 SuperSU won't require a modified kernel for root anymore in the next version.
ive had my nexus 5 on android L all week and encountered no bugs so far. Am i lucky?
ive had my nexus 5 on android L all week and encountered no bugs so far. Am i lucky?
Perhaps you're using it wrong.
I had downgrade my m8 due to a lot of lag issues in L. But its the first release of L and I may just be use tonthe optimizations in Sense. Works okay on my 2012 N7 though. No significant performance change but maybe a little smoother.
I'm going to wait until LG makes an official port of it for G2. There is a CM12 port but it was unstable and some features don't work, plus stock rom takes use of the hardware features that isn't possible on pure Android.
As soon as my M7 gets it I'm relocking it and going back to stock.
Perhaps you're using it wrong.
Maybe he's holding it wrong.
Maybe he's holding it wrong.
im putting the phone on my left foot and using the screen with my right. That is how you hold it right?
im putting the phone on my left foot and using the screen with my right. That is how you hold it right?
No, you have to use the screen with your nose, silly. All your problems will soon disappear.

Okay so I can't paste shit in the facepunch text box on my droid turbo, I can paste everywhere else but here it just freezes for a second then nothing happens

I can actually use the Nexus 5 with one hand rather than shuffling the 1+1 around my hand to use it. My hands are not that big yet tho. The camera app is kinda bad, one of the most requested features of the app is to have the 4:3 view finder because right now the viewfinder is cropping 16:9 into the 4:3 image which is hard to compose shots properly for 4:3. Sure there are other camera apps but IIRC the only app that supports the RAW capabilities of the 1+1 is the stock camera app. All of the other camera apps only get JPEG support, or have not enabled RAW support for whatever reason. Even though I have it enabled, I still haven't found the time to really mess with the RAW files anyways.
Well what was the answer.
Because your blood is always cold. Second person to answer after me said they get bad rep because you're basically a snake /w legs. (no idea if he got an invite).
use a different browser
Works on Firefox Thanks
I have my flashing finger ready for the (possible) Android L release for the M8 tomorrow.
Any directx11/12 demos/games yet?
New leaked(?) release of L for the M8! But it's 10PM on a Thursday... must resist flashing... I need my phone to work tomorrow.
why moto g? why not moto x??
Well actually the new Moto X is bigger than the LG G2 with the same size screen. I was just trying to convey that we won't be seeing flagship hardware in sub 5.3" screen devices for a couple years most likely. If you're looking for a smaller device, the Moto G(2013)/Nexus 4 are the best hardware you can get around a 4.5" screen still. Unless you're looking for a brand new device with the same damn hardware for 4 times as much (G3 S, S5 mini, One mini 2, ect.). So basically if you want a 805(or faster) device, you're buying a 5.5" device period. This current line of "mini" devices already has fucking 5" screens and still the 400. If we're even lucky we might see the new lineup of 61x hardware on the "mini" devices which will still be VASTLY inferior to flagships of 2013 in 2015/2016. I honestly see reviewers getting pretty sour over the size of devices, the iPhone line up will most likely see a lot of praise soon as it offers the only high end phone with a manageable screen.
I'm going to wait until LG makes an official port of it for G2. There is a CM12 port but it was unstable and some features don't work, plus stock rom takes use of the hardware features that isn't possible on pure Android.
The G2 3rd party scene is about to be turned on end again like it was when it just started out and had KitKat drop. Bump should become standard hopefully and we should finally get running on proper Kitkat files which should end the screens burning up. Then on top of all that everything should start getting transferred over to L but hopefully not before most roms go Stable on KitKat which is quite likely everything will be left in a piss poor state and jump ship to make more roms that will be unstable for 3+ months. CM is a total joke on the G2 anyways using JB sources since they couldn't manage to keep up after Houstonn disappeared. It's never worked smoothly and always has variants which are completely broken for months. Hopefully Houstonn will save us soon as he's working on the 1+1 PA Android L which after that he has said he'll be to work on legacy.
After hopping between 4 or so other ROMs on my G2 since KK, I went back to CloudyG3.. lots of neat gimmicks/features LG tosses into stock, and not really bloated
CloudyG3 is quite nice, there was a couple little things like the volume button track skip that bothered me but nothing I wouldn't expect from a stock rom. I've always been quite attached to PA, everything else just seems to be poorly made and buggy sadly. Houstonn has a test build for PA if you're interested in that, it's his first build in forever but it already works pretty great compared to nearly everything else. Hopefully when he's satisfied with his 1+1 we'll see more official builds.
