Jump into the partial wakelocks section. PowerManagerService is just a placeholder for those entries, if I'm not mistaken.
Hmm Is 2% per hour decent? It was much worse last night (don't know the exact number), but I think that basically went away because I flashed a new nightly (and therefore rebooted). Maps is the biggest culprit, but I remember reading something on Android Police earlier this week that there was something about a new Maps version that was gonna fix that specific service draining the battery (but they're rolling it out over 2 weeks for some reason). [editline]2nd June 2013[/editline] I wonder if I could force my phone to reboot every 12 hours via Tasker or a similar app? Since rebooting has, in my experience, been a good solution for draining processes

Then again, I keep all my location services off. Does Google Now matter much to you? If not, you can disable background location reporting by going into Maps settings > Location Settings > and disable "location history" and "report from this device." Then again, you should also keep this chart in mind: Your actual battery life will always be slightly inaccurate if you gauge it off the first 10%.
I don't understand what that chart means :v: [editline]2nd June 2013[/editline] And I'd rather keep location services on because me and my sis use Latitude a lot
Argh, this is annoying. Already one day after getting my phone back problems occur. Touching the home, back etc buttons create this weird static noise sound. And the Padfone station stopped to work. Great!
Fair enough; guess you'll just have to wait for that Maps update. As for the chart, basically, your battery's charge dips quickly from 100-90%, and then again from 10-0%.
Then again, you should also keep this chart in mind: Your actual battery life will always be slightly inaccurate if you gauge it off the first 10%.
I had an extended battery from eBay for my old phone and the voltage curve was crazy. It would discharge to 85% and then stay there for like half an hour before dropping again. And once it got to 15% it was a total gamble; sometimes it would shut off at 15%, or 10%, or 5%. My stock S3 battery doesn't last as long but at least it's more predictable; the discharge is constant (for a constant load) after 90%, and it'll always discharge to 1% or 0% before giving up.
Samsung's Exynos chips have always traditionally underperformed, had glitches and are a little more power hungry compared to the Qualcomms. At least that's what I divined when I did phone research.
Not true back in the Exynos 4210 era, or the original Hummingbird. [editline]1st June 2013[/editline]
Won't even go into fastboot. I was thinking something along the lines of opening it up and physically connecting to the flash memory or something.
If it doesn't even enumerate over USB when you connect as QHUSB_DLOAD then it's good as dead. [editline]1st June 2013[/editline]
I slept over it and decided I don't want to wait for a hardware keyboard phone which most likely won't come out EVER. I did a bit of research and it looks like the Xperia Z and the SGS4 are my best options. The Nexus 4 looks pretty good too, but there doesn't seem to be a not-ridiculously-tiny-storage option. How hard can it be to put 64GB in there? 64GB µSD cards are super cheap, why can't they put some cheap, but huge storage in there?
Because it's google? They don't give a fuck, they want to push cloud/GDrive.
My S1 records exactly the same as the HTC One thanks to Voodoo Sound. All I do is set it to loud recording environment and hey-presto
Isn't it a hardware difference that allows for it though?
Oh wow guys, I'm dumb. I've been trying to play games on my S3 with the power saving CPU underclocking option on. You can shower me in boxes.

Guess that wolfson DAC is pretty damn good. I'd like to know the details behind this, though.
Looks like the HTC One's getting 4.2.2 real soon, with 1% battery, Quick Settings, and using long press home for menu http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/06/02/new-features-in-android-4-2-2-for-htc-one-previewed-battery-percent-in-status-bar-quick-settings-and-more/ [t]http://cdn.androidpolice.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/nexusae0_13700798779443.jpg[/t][t]http://cdn.androidpolice.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/nexusae0_13700421635273.jpg[/t][t]http://cdn.androidpolice.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/nexusae0_13700421770183.jpg[/t]
Yup, I've got it installed on my One. The auto-rotate is faster, if that's an improvement. Other than that, it's as fast as it was before.
Hold on, where did you get that update?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2183023 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192324 those two ROMs have 4.2.2 on them
oh for fuck's sake - thinking of snapping my s2 in half so I have to upgrade to this
Why, it looks like it's stuck in between 2.3 and 4.2.
with 1% battery,
what does this mean
Why, it looks like it's stuck in between 2.3 and 4.2.
don't care, the one is just pure sex and if I don't like the default rom I can just slap on CM
don't care, the one is just pure sex and if I don't like the default rom I can just slap on CM
Then why does seeing their 4.2.2 update make you regret getting an s2?
Then why does seeing their 4.2.2 update make you regret getting an s2?
because it's a phone getting a stock 4.2 upgrade which mine won't ever get and also I get a bit excited whenever I see a one since it's almost my upgrade time and I won't have to use a 2 year old phone for much longer? this is pretty basic shit man

I can't be arsed to check the previous posts, but were you trying to figure out if the battery time was any good or if there were any draining apps? Then it looks really good if that's the case.
Every ROM i've tried using for my i9300 reboots randomly during the day when its in my pocket. So I can never use Better battery stats to check the wakelocks because they get reset on reboot. I miss my ZTE Blade never rebooting unless I told it to. Had an uptime of 400 days before I got the i9300.
