Am I the only one who doesn't like his status bar to not be cluttered? At best there is no notification icon at all. So far all of my friends and colleagues who own an android phone have like hundreds of icons in their status bar.
my moto 360 got lollipop last night, loving it.
Alright, back up to $10 in Google play rewards. Any good utility or productivity apps I'm missing out on?
MX Video Player ad free version, it's like $6 as a "donation" version and it's pretty much one of the best video players for Android and has been for years.

And a reminder notification that pops up every 45 minutes.

I pretty much have nothing on my notifications bar, if there is something I tend to it fast or leave it there to tend to it later. Exceptions would be music players, stuff uploading/downloading and phone calls.
Same here. I can't stand having notifications left up there, if I see one I swipe it clear. Seeing peoples notification bars with like 10 different icons, 3 weather widgets, 2 clocks and shit like that makes me cringe.
TBH I cannot imaging what kind of services need to run all the time on a phone. Other than for example messenger apps.
Pebble service, tasker service, and gsam, though, the latter is entirely superfluous and not necessary.
When I see screenshots and there's a shit ton of notifications, I'm like dude really
Did anyone else notice that oneplus is having a competition to name their rom? Something other than cyanogen11s?
OneROM to rule them all
OneROM to rule them all
SauROM?

Would always give me a report from two hours ago in the next city over for some reason. Tasker and 3G Watchdog would also be there but I have notifications disabled for those apps in settings (and use Autonotification for Tasker notifications)
Was about to post and then saw Lavacano, yeah all I have is WU but my girlfriend never checks her notifications/has some weird permanent apps and it drives me nuts
Hm, turns out Xiaomi has a 16000mAh power bank now, and it's $15. http://www.mi.com/my/mipowerbank16000/
Still unable to make a 1+1 account :\
Figured it out...? Everytime I hit the check box in the captcha confirming I was human, it would change my confirmation password to something else. What the hell.
Use a computer :v:
But I work swing shift, and my computer is in my living room, and my keyboard needs new batteries and other excuses. I got it to work anyways so it doesn't matter.
Ok, guys. I know I asked a while earlier, but I'm starting to look a little closer into it and I'm heavily considering switching from iOS to Android after Christmas and I'm looking at a Note 4. What are some nice features on Android that iOS doesn't have and advantages?

Generally the cameras on Android flagship smartphones are higher resolution so if you really need those pixels, that's a plus. Of course, higher pixel count doesn't automatically mean better image quality. The notifications system isn't stupid, it's actually functional on Android. You can put widgets on your home screen and have it set up in any way you want. If you don't like a Samsung version of lets say the Dialer, you can easily change it to something else with minimal hassle by checking out the Google Play Store that has a bunch of apps for whatever you need.
How long is the 1+1 on sale without an invite? Have they even said any dates?
i feel like that might explode on me
I have the 10400mAh one, so do a few others on FP and so far, it has not exploded for us. Apparently there is insurance for each of them (up to some amount) but I have no idea how that works. There's always decent alternatives.
Why are motorola shells 9€ if they are literally plastic pieces. I feel they should be much cheaper.
How long is the 1+1 on sale without an invite? Have they even said any dates?
probably until the 25th
Of course I get paid on the 26th. Thank you bank holidays.
Why are motorola shells 9€ if they are literally plastic pieces. It costs a little bit more to package them individually and profits are always made through spare parts. A new battery cover for the Nexus 5, including the hardware bits on it (for wireless charging and other things) goes for around $35 on eBay. A new battery cover for the OnePlus One, not including the SIM Card tray, NFC radio and the power button costs around $12 on eBay. Take a look at eBay, it's probably cheaper there. Or there are cheaper alternatives for the shells. [editline]18th December 2014[/editline] Can't edit post for some stupid reason but 1+1 back cover can go for $10 instead on ebay.

I think vBulletin upstream fixed the bug ages ago but Garry doesn't want to update i don't know the ratio of "customization conflicts" to "garry being a lazy ass" however
