So I had root on my old huawei and I had all kinda where I wanted it. Now in my moto g everything is so "stock" that i find myself a little bit uncomfortable. Do you guys think I should void the warranty to root it or should I wait it out?
Yeah that's what I thought, but i'm missing a lot of features from xposed and roms and such.
Root is useful for a lot of things. Find out if you can remove evidence of rooting. Go ahead if you can. If anything (within reasonable extent) goes wrong you can remove evidence and keep your warranty.
i thought so but the main form of rooting is unlocking the phone with a motorola provided code, so it has to go through that
After installing Cyanogen and some app called "Battery Saver", my standby battery usage is pretty great. It used to be near the halfway point if I let it sit like this. [editline]30th December 2014[/editline] One thing though, and it might be because I'm running a nightly build of Cyanogen, sometimes com.android.systemui crashes when I try to unlock my phone, anyone know why that is?

Nice battery icon [editline]30th December 2014[/editline] Speaking of standby, not sure if not calibrated battery or if it's really stuck at 100% at the time. I hate you guys and your Nexus 5 battery life. This is with greenify used on all apps I don't need to be on for notifications. And chrome is the most used app (35 percent) with 1 hour. [t]http://i.imgur.com/pqgLbr1.jpg[/t]

Unless you were listening to music or something during that time. [editline]31st December 2014[/editline] That's the reason you're getting shitty battery life.
Okay, this Oneplus One invite is about to expire. https://account.oneplus.net/invite/claim/GL2P-LMCI-LP6I-7PM1 go nuts!

Well, one day left, none of my friends wanted them. It is a great phone. All of those codes are for the 64gb sandstone black version of the phone. Anyone else getting random reboots on the Nexus 6 with stock 5.0.1?

i dunno if this is exclusive to the nexus 6 but first Lord of the Rings movie is free on google play right now
i dunno if this is exclusive to the nexus 6 but first Lord of the Rings movie is free on google play right now
just picked it up, not exclusive, thanks for the heads up
Other regions have different free movies, Australia got Pacific Rim.
Official OnePlus Lollipop ROM released (Alpha build so it will have bugs), it's a start. It also sounds like the latest CM11s 44S update will be the last CM11s for the OnePlus One since the whole CM drama. https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/rom-official-5-0-android-lollipop-alpha.223252/
How long till CM as a company goes bust?
How long till CM as a company goes bust?
No idea but the recent drama just makes them (or really just the CEO who also represents the entire company) look bad.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/iHlbz0c.jpg[/t] Crap, any idea what this is? Pressure damage? Digitizer and everything else seems fine.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/iHlbz0c.jpg[/t] Crap, any idea what this is? Pressure damage? Digitizer and everything else seems fine.
Not sure what to be looking at. The blue/pinkish spot?
Exactly. Not really noticeable unless I dim the screen.
Went back to stock on my One M7, dunno why
I believe it's pressure damage, i fucked up my N5 screen by sitting on it i think. everything else is fine, just an annoying spot that shows only in blacks.
Only shows up in blacks? Does your phone have a oled screen?
Only shows up in blacks? Does your phone have a oled screen?
Its an Xperia Z2 so no. The spots are very faintly visible against any darker color. But yeah, its generally very hard to see so I guess I'm gonna live with it. Still much better than a cracked screen.
