RootBox is the only ROM I've used for an extended period of time because of its stability and features. It's still one of the best ROM's I've ever tried. Worth a look.
The newly released Google keyboard is meh.
If you've been using swiftkey, there's some annoying things about it that you never see on swiftkey
1. Wipe Data/Factory Reset (This does not affect your Internal/External storage)
Is it true?
Is it true?
Yes. You're device is built up with 3 different storage spaces:
- data (This gets deleted)
- internal personal storage
- sdcard
Correct me if I'm wrong.

youre a wonderful man
What's the big deal about cerberus? Is it some advanced anti theft stuff or does it come with any cool features as well?
It seems to be the most powerful one I've seen. I bought a license ages ago.
It does whatever is expected of other anti theft apps, plus it has SIM card protection wherein if the SIM card is removed or replaced it sends warnings out to a predetermined list of contacts, plus if you have root access and you use a special install method the app will survive a factory reset of the phone.
Unless a potential thief knows exactly what he is doing, the app will be unkillable and the moment the thief tries to use it, you can do neat things like take his picture, find his exact coordinates, and then send them to the police.

hes clearly a dog
Well I fixed the Evo 3D.
I dunno if it was worth it, because I murdered the bezel and there's all kind of stuff under the glass, but it works now. So maybe?
Anyone play around with the new Qi wireless charger for the S4? Mine finally came from vivealive and it works, but for some reason the charger never goes to "full". When the battery gets full it just goes into a connect/disconnect loop, with the phone pinging every few minutes and the screen coming on. Very annoying to leave over night.

There's a bunch of little tiny filesystems in there, but they're not that important. The three interesting ones are:
* /data - Apps get installed here, store their info here, and so on. This gets wiped with a factory reset.
* /system - The OS lives here. This gets wiped with a factory reset.
* /sdcard - Your SD card (or internal storage if that's what your phone does). This does not get wiped unless you explicitly say so.
On my playbook there is a wireless file transfer feature where I can set it up so when its connected to my wifi it'll appear on my My Computer as a storage.
Is there something like it on Android? I found one but you have to go to an address but I want it too appear on My Computer as a storage instead.
Anyone knows good extended batteries for the Galaxy S2 which preferably do NOT need a back cover replacement and can ship to europe?

I can't say for sure if you can get a larger battery without a back replacement, but replacements exist that are only marginally thicker.
You'll probably want it this way so it doesn't scratch the camera glass. That's why I love the thicker plastic of the flip cover on my Note.
Anyone have any third party apps that support Skype chat that is free?

Haven't you been using one all the time: imo?

They got booted.
They got booted.
I'm sorry, what does that mean?
Skype banned imo from their servers I think
Yeah IMO said that they had connection problems with Skype.
Pretty sure Skype banned them. IMO worked very well with text chat. The Skype app sucks and lags a lot.
I got the flip cover for my phone and I installed an app that detects if the cover is shut or not and locks/unlocks the phone accordinglyIt's pretty nifty, I'm so used to that functionality with my iPad
Bit late, but what's the name of the app. Sounds interesting

Hell if i remember, its one of the free ones that come up when you search flip case or flip cover
So does the S4 actually have wireless charging now? Samsung said the S3 would in its release.
Not officially IIRC but the WiQiQi chargers are only like $40 for the antenna and base station

not worth the novelty, it has a ridiculously slow charging rate compared to USB and (obviously) wall chargers
also what's the current opinions on various launcher replacement apps, GO is still at the top of the list but I'm seeing some new faces in the crowd since I last dinked with that stuff. I did install go's text app, jesus fuck all these paid and free* skins are a minefield. their popup thing they keep plugging is hilariously awful
Next Launcher 3D is free if you register with "nextlauncher3d" and activation code "appoftheday" if you like XDA-quality default skins and gaudy animations

Go laucher hasn't been the top for more than a year. It's either Nova or Apex these days, and both are wonderful and gorgeous.
