To me, it seems just the opposite. Why use some other app to send just one picture to a nearby friend? Why not just Airdrop it? I guess it really comes down to what app your friend has. I see airdrop as a more viable option since it'll come installed on every phone running iOS 7.
That's not true, only the latest generation supports airdrop. The iPhone 4/4s etc do not.
Also it just means there's LESS choice, with android intents you can use any capable app to share your picture, depending on which service your friend uses, on iOS you can only use those they've chosen to build in.
I really don't like the way iOS 7 looks. The control panel is just tacky.

Well that's a shame. In that case, I don't see it being as viable as simply sharing with an app, at least not until everyone's contracts expire and they update to iPhone 5/6.
Some of the iOS 7 stuff looks like I've seen it before.
But hey, it doesn't look so gaudy/cheesy anymore, so that's a plus for iOS users.
iOS looks amazing and I can't wait until Android people theme it and put it on Android. Those icons look orgasmic.
!?
why not just get an iPhone then?
Android is better

I wouldn't call it amazing but it's a crazy improvement over how iOS looks right now.

I would almost consider switching for a walled garden that looked as good as iOS 7, especially knowing that all of the apps will look the same instead of Gingerbread all over the place. Having to give up tons of utility for it would be a tough decision though.
If I was given an iPhone 5, I'd jump ships from my potato. iOS 7 made it look much better.

Yeah, I'd probably use an iPhone if they actually made customization possible and added Android's sharing features.
EDIT:
Oh, hacking too. I'd want it to be open

Basically, I'm never switching to iPhone
I think iOS 7 looks like MIUI.
The android fan boys are raging so much right now, just look at android central comments.

Because you've probably seen MIUI before and so have the iOS 7 team
Aight let's say I want to flash a ROM. How does it affect my phone service? Will I have to reactivate the phone after I flash it?
On a Galaxy Note 2 if it matters. I was planning on flashing 4.2.2 or MIUI.

I got a chuckle, even though I don't totally agree.

Every AOSP-based ROM will have worse service than a Touchwiz ROM because the hardware is optimized for TW. In some areas for some people, this difference in service can be negligible or it can be huge. Also, you shouldn't need to reactivate your phone when you flash a ROM.
The current MIUI ROM I'm looking at is TW based, so it's perfect for me.

Shouldn't affect phone service. That's controlled entirely by the radio software, which is entirely separate from the Android OS. And you shouldn't have to reactivate the phone. GSM phones get service data from the SIM card and CDMA phones get their service information once they connect to the network as its attached to the serial number.
All you do is change the phone's OS software, it changes very little with how it interacts with the network.
Unless of course there is something very specific to the Note 2. This is just based on two different phones and flashing them since the 1.5 days.
Cool.
Well, here's this little guy:

So at least I have the option to flash in the future.
Because you've probably seen MIUI before and so have the iOS 7 team
And MIUI is based off of iOS everything before 7.

It has finally gone full circle
fuck iOS 7 clearly Nocturnal Hooligan is the right thing for me

I hope this includes loud trash metal as a startup sound. Then just put that on an HTC One and you'll create a nuclear explosion.
Are any of you guys having sound issues running Cyanogenmod?
I'm on 10.1,and ever since RC3 I've had:
1: No sound from main speaker in youtube app.
2: No sound during calls unless speakerphone is on. (BAD)
Anything I can do to fix this? I have a Galaxy Nexus.

RC5 is available for some days already, try that. Past RC's were more buggy than nightlies (which is ironical, since most people try to convince you it's the other way around).
Also, is Samsung going to sue Apple now, just for the fun of it?

I flashed RC5 earlier, and still the same bug. I also tried all 3 currently available nightlies.
Is there an easy way to downgrade to CM10?
What's the difference between this and the "portable hotspot" feature?

It's the same thing, except this circumvents and carrier restrictions that may be on your phone
Hmm, weird. I plugged my Samsung earphones into my sound card. It sounds really echoey and distant, unless I hold the button on the headset, then it works perfectly.
EDIT:
oh, I pulled the plug out a tiny bit and it works now?? probably something to do with the third ring
