How is this "Sliding Messaging Pro" like?
I use screen protectors because the teeny weeny scratches will make your "super strong" gorilla glass weaker
I got a pack of 5 screen protectors off ebay for a dollar, I still have like three. Just go onto ebay and buy the cheapest set with cheapest or free shipping. Although it will take a month or so to ship over, it's still a better deal than buying "stronger" ones. Also if you have OCD and you hate scratches, you can replace so many cheap screen protectors.

The cut is lazy and the edges are not sticking properly at the top and bottom. Plus, the Rhino Shield is supposed to be shatter proof (not that I'm believing it THAT much, but eh..) and if I buy version1 now, I'll get version2 for free in July.
How is this "Sliding Messaging Pro" like?
You can try the free version
Given up trying to unlock this E63 for free by myself just gonna go pay £15 and get it done and CeX [editline]13th June 2013[/editline] Also my Grandad has bought a HP Slate 7 and he can't get his head around it, bless
Did you install the kernel through fastboot like I said? You must do that on an HTC phone with S-ON. (Use the one from the MIUI zip if you want)
I did something like that but I was guided by my friend who has more experience with android roms (he also has evo 3d), I don't remember really, it was almost a year ago. Also my phone is S-OFF.

I guess with S-OFF it should have updated, but you should check the MIUI zip you used just to see if it comes with a boot.img.
How is this "Sliding Messaging Pro" like?
I like it, just make sure you have a low amount of SMS stored, because it has more problems than vanilla with 2000 message conversations. The free version is great though, try it.
So for the one's who have microSD card slots and microSD cards in them, what size, brand and speed do you have it at? I still have my patriot class 10 32gb from over a year ago and never had problems with it (besides slow write speeds sometimes when I plug it into my computer through my phone to copy stuff and yet downloading stuff onto it is much faster.
I'm about to order the Rhino Shield screen protector for my N4. Good choice y/n
I have a N4 Rhino shield lying around from the kickstarter. I never used it because I cracked the back of my N4 and thought screw it. You can buy it off me if you want. Half price?

Half price?
On their website they currently claim that "you will be entitled to receive the Rhino Shield Mark 2 when we officially launch our brand in July." I emailed them about this just to make sure and you get v2 (improved quality) for free if you order v1 now. If I fuck up the install of v1 (likely, since installing screen protectors sucks), I can survive on it until they ship v2. So I guess I'll pass on your offer, but thanks anyway! Maybe someone else in here would buy it off you.

Weird.

Well it doesn't seem to want to work anymore.

Combined storage is around 20 gb so i don't need more space yet. As for speed and such, no idea. I found it in one of my drawers when looking for a SD card for the old phone. No idea where i got it

How would I root a galaxy s3 that's from straight talk? or is it same as normal, I see alot of rooting apps talk about specific company phones, so being sure.
Hm, I'll contact Rogers Support soon. Although when I go to my contacts app and I select a contact, I can see the sms sent and recieved. Well some of the SMS sent and recieved don't even show up (I blame the app) but show up on my SMS app. Also those double sms only show up on sms apps, not the contacts app. edit: nevermind when someone sends me an sms like just now, the sms updates for that contact and I can see the double sms on the contacts app.
It's the result of the operator's attempt to ensure message delivery. They will shatter if you drop it right, but it did its job of protecting the screen, it's just like ceramic body armor.

It says it's for the Sprint phone, but a guy in the thread said it worked on his Straight Talk phone too (which makes sense since they're based on the same CDMA hardware). (Note: rooting is not as picky as flashing ROMs. I don't know if any ROMs work with your phone. They would have to be compatible with the SCH-S960L model.)
Finally got a new phone. I haven't used Android for a while, what are the good OSses and launchers these days? [editline]12th June 2013[/editline] It's a Sony Xperia S btw.
I like Nova Launcher, Smart Launcher, and GO Launcher
is it possible to disable the volume buttons while the phone is locked/screen turned off? I always press them while taking phone out of my pocket and it results In ear damaging volume that's really annoying. Galaxy s3 4g 4.1.2 jb

Galaxy s3 4g 4.1.2 jb
yeah you know the volume buttons on my note are pretty sensitive, I think the flip case doesn't help. if anyone figures this out I'd love to know - my headphones have their own volume control (literally a potentiometer inline) so I don't use the phone volume very often.
I don't get why apps are so cheap. :S take Photoshop touch: ~35NOK. The desktop versions is thousands of NOKs. Sliding messages: 6NOK. I'd gladly pay up to 50NOK.
I ain't complaining. Especially when previously fully-fledged games like GTA3 and the original Max Payne are only a few bucks.
I don't get why apps are so cheap. :S
They're only $1 because they know thousands of people will buy it because "it's only $1"
I ain't complaining. Especially when previously fully-fledged games like GTA3 and the original Max Payne are only a few bucks.
Of course it's positive for us consumers, but I still don't get it :v:
It's the same reason microtransactions are successful
They're only $1 because they know thousands of people will buy it because "it's only $1"
How can they possible earn from that? They need 100 thousands of buyers :S [editline]14th June 2013[/editline]
It's the same reason microtransactions are successful
You can at least buy some of them over and over.
