If you did any customization, it doesn't tend to ship immediately.
I know. I looked up what Prepared for Shipment means, its ready to ship out as soon as the next plane leaves Shanghai Edit: Shipped! Fedex says it'll be here by next Tuesday!
When you first get it in that white box your eyes literally change color. Enjoy. Also; get MS Office, life is a LOT harder without it. And VLC, and handbrake and crossover and UnrarX [editline]10th December 2010[/editline] And Skysoft iTube Studio. This one is amazing. Just don't convert movies during demo time, it leaves a crap watermark.
I got the stock i7 model + the hi-res glossy screen and the VGA adapter. [editline]7th December 2010[/editline] [img_thumb]http://imgur.com/ClSr7.png[/img_thumb] That's what I got
Tyler Neal If you're gonna censor, check twice :v: [editline]10th December 2010[/editline] Hey how was the talent show?
Why not just Open Office?
To be honest I find it horrible.
To be honest I find it horrible.
Fair enough.
Why not just Open Office?
It's not that great to be honest. Good for being free though.

Office::Mac 2011 is amazing, it is a must.
I know right? Why doesn't windows have something like this? It's the fastest, easiest and most brilliant way to do backup/"shadow copies".
It does. You just click the backup thinger, choose what where and when and away it goes. You can mount the backups as virtual hard drives, access different versions inline etc. I've been using it for ages. Better question: Why doesn't linux have something like this?

If you need to reformat (new disk, etc), you can import form it and its like nothing ever happened. I haven't bothered to backup on windows before due to having multiple disks and partitions and its a bitch to set it up properly. This just works, and that's honestly all I care about anymore. I'm sick of tinkering with things to get them to do what I want.
I'm just gonna throw iWork on it, that's all I need really.
I'm just gonna throw iWork on it, that's all I need really.
Don't buy iWork right now. A new release is around the corner. Unless you intend not to buy it. In which case: :derp:

Having multiple disks and partitions doesn't matter to it - it can either only restore to the present partitions or it can create them for you. There is absolutely nothing difficult about the windows backup solution, have you even used it?
Office::Mac 2011 is amazing, it is a must.
How is it "amazing"?
How is it "amazing"?
Use it and see for yourself. I purchased iWork first, and hated it. I purchased Office::Mac 2011 and was amazed.

TehWhale don't disagree with me when I say that iWork is all I need, you don't know what I'm going to be doing with my laptop.
i have compatibility issues with iwork files on windows machines, especially powerpoint files
Most likely, if I need to be able to share a powerpoint with PC users, I'll install MS Office, if I'm just making a slideshow for use on my laptop, I'll use Keynote. I got a macbook air a few weeks ago and it still amazes me daily. Enjoy it man, you only appreciate how good they are when you own one, prepare to be shunned by closed-minded idiots for a few years who will repeatedly tell you how much of an idiot you are for buying a mac.

I have burn scars all along my arm from all the times it has amazed me when I touched it :v: Seriously, though, it is amazing just how good it is.
