corsair HS1 ever owned one, how many times it been replaced?
Hopefully not more than once, or you are an idiot to keep buying them.
US keyboards have either a large enter key, a large backspace key, but never both... fucking tards designed this shit. >_<
I beg to differ: Please note: Those keys aren't missing due to gamer rage, this is a backup keyboard. The tilde key was lost when I left it attached to the Xbox after setting up account info, then my brother got bored during a map change and started fiddling with it. The 7 key was when I got fed up of trying to get Xorg to work on an iMac G3. In other news, I replaced the broken front panel connections on my case with a Rosewill card reader. I ordered it on Saturday and it came this morning at around 10:30 AM. Fuck yeah, I love having a warehouse within my province.
Actually the dell principe makes sense, too. It has to big "buttons" (I really don't have a better word for it) on the top and bottom, so no screws are involved when opening it. It can be opened a good deal more than seen on that picture, and I can see it being useful for opening/locking the case, when you need to repair it fast (another proof of this is that it has hot swappable drivebays). When a design looks inconvenient to you, it's probably because the manufacturer has some kind of purpose with it. Not that you didn't know this, but I'm simply annoyed by people only seeing something from one angle.
Actually I didn't know that, I thought it could only be opened as far as the picture showed. Thanks for telling me that and not treating me like an idiot :3:
no problem, cd/rws are nifty and it's a good idea to keep them around
whoa people still use cd's?
Hopefully not more than once, or you are an idiot to keep buying them.
had one break down 6 times, its bullshit
whoa people still use cd's?
Yup! They sound so good, but here is not the time or place to discuss why I think they are awesome
Yup! They sound so good, but here is not the time or place to discuss why I think they are awesome
Or you could, I dunno, buy DVDs and get 10x the storage capacity? The medium doesn't affect the quality of digital content.
Or you could, I dunno, buy DVDs and get 10x the storage capacity? The medium doesn't affect the quality of digital content.
cds are typically cheaper and when all you're doing with the cds is burning linux distros it really doesn't matter
Or you could, I dunno, buy DVDs and get 10x the storage capacity? The medium doesn't affect the quality of digital content.
DVD's don't work in CD players. And its a waste to burn a CD image to a DVD. CD's still have their place.
There's no reason to buy CDs anymore, at least not here. You can either get a spindle of 20 CDs for 20$ or 50 DVDs for 20$ :v:
Weird, I remember flash drives being invented
Weird, I remember flash drives being invented
Well let's see. I have 40 back-up DVDs on my desk. All of them are full. 40*4.7 = 188 GB I paid 25$ for a stack of 100 DVDs back in '08. Find me a <12.50$ flash drive that can contain 188 GB of data :colbert:
There's no reason to buy CDs anymore, at least not here. You can either get a spindle of 20 CDs for 20$ or 50 DVDs for 20$ :v:
I do buy music CDs, cause they are just better quality (IMO)
There's no reason to buy CDs anymore, at least not here. You can either get a spindle of 20 CDs for 20$ or 50 DVDs for 20$ :v:
Bought a spindle of 100 for €30, mostly us it for things it wasn't meant for :v: .
I just build a multi-bootable DVD of different Linux distros. DVDs are cheap as hell, and every PC has a DVD burner in it nowadays.
People who say it is pointless to buy CDs ever what the hell are you talking about? CDs for music are still used for CD players and cars. My car stereo doesn't play DVDs nor does it allow for you to hook an MP3 player into it. The only way to play music is through CD or Radio. For that one single reason, I still say CDs are worth while.
My new Sharp 52" TV has some weird pressure sensitive volume/power on it. I mean, what the hell is the point of that? I just use the remote, but whenever I lose it, it takes me about five minutes just to turn the volume to an acceptable level or turn it off. Why not just use real buttons, for chrissakes? [img_thumb]http://bj0.org/pictures/usbcase.jpg[/img_thumb]
And why are you using anything by Rosewill? I've had experience with their PSUs, Wi-Fi adapters, etc, and they are incredibly unreliable. Lasted 'bout a month before they started shitting out.
I have my rosewill 8-port switch sitting right here on my desk.. Never overheats, and it's about 1.5 years old.
People shitting on the USB connection standard. On paper, USB has a connectivity design which makes it impossible to fuck up and damage something but then bullshit like this started surfacing. Nononononononononononono.... NO!! This crap violates the USB connectivity standard. For fucks sake, would it not of been easier to put a USB "B" connector on that cheap-ass dollar store webcam instead of another "A" connector? Twice I have seen computers come in to my shop where some bullshit USB cable that should not exist has been used to do something that USB should not do and blown the device or the USB controller up.

I wouldn't exactly trust their PSUs though, that's one thing I never cheap out on.

For that one single reason, I still say CDs are worth while.
I get the best of both worlds. My car stereo plays MP3 CDs - I can fit the entire soundtrack to the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, normally eighteen disks, onto two CDs, with room for most of the good OCRemixes. Complete Iron Maiden discography? Two disks. Too bad whoever coded their ISO9660 drivers sucked. I still regularly end up burning disks that don't work in it, because it's finicky as hell. Forget to fixate the disk? ERROR. Burn it in portions? ERROR. Burn over something on a CD-RW? ERROR.

Lasted 'bout a month before they started shitting out.
Why not? Just read the reviews first and don't try to get too crazy with their cheap power supplies. They do have some good PSUs, though their inexpensive ones seem to be hit or miss. You can't really fuck up a keyboard too much and card readers are the same way (Assuming they don't break when you insert an SD card). My RNX-GX4 router is the best router you can buy for $30, probably the cheapest new router you can buy that supports Tomato and DD-WRT. Just because a few of their products are crap doesn't mean the whole brand is terrible. They sell a lot of stuff at reasonable prices, I'm really happy with them.
Weird, I remember flash drives being invented
I had a 32 MB flash drive, i thought it was the shit, now i have around 12gb of flash storage on me at all times
Got the idea from gizmodo, or the idea IS gizmodo? :3: [sp]think about it for a moment[/sp]
Yup! They sound so good, but here is not the time or place to discuss why I think they are awesome
ahaha "sound so good"... you're probably burning 128 kbps audio onto them. It would be nice if they did.
I'm sorry that you're stuck with a nostalgic stereo, but maybe someday you'll have a modern one.
Mine can only play Redbook cd's too but I put a switch on the FM injector for the satellite radio so I can switch between it and a 3.5mm input jack I have in the glove box. Edit: page king? Well fuck. I don't have content.
Well fuck. I don't have content.
I think you made up for it with that awesome idea you have there :buddy:
I hate how the ATI 5970 has about 2 inches of dead space and those 2 inches are just enough to make it require the biggest fucking case in New Zealand.
slow tripping OPP's and OCP
