My car stereo reads flash drives and sd card.
2 bad i still have crappy speakers in there.
People who say it is pointless to buy CDs ever what the hell are you talking about? CDs for music are still used for CD players and cars. My car stereo doesn't play DVDs nor does it allow for you to hook an MP3 player into it. The only way to play music is through CD or Radio.
For that one single reason, I still say CDs are worth while.
Fm-transmitter and a MP3 player mounted in a holder.
What I did when the optical drive in my china car-stereo crapped out.
Even though it can play MP3's of a USB stick that's maximum 4Gb big and formatted as FAT32, but I like to use my phone for all my music on-the-go.
I just learnt first hand how fucking bad the Intel LGA-775 Mountings are.

That depends on the heatsink.
Stock intel one is godawful though.
Ooh, ooh, here's a great asshole design move.
Dell printers that use a proprietary ink cartridge that you can only get from their online store
And ALWAYS says that the ink is empty, even when it isn't
Oh yeah, and the blacks come out as a washed out blueish gray
Those bulky plug connection (commonly found for cellphones) that not only physically take up 2 of the slots on your powerstrip, but the cable that comes out the bottom makes the 3rd a pain in the ass to attempt to use. (Which is why everyone tries to put them on the last slot of the power strip... BUT WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE!?)
This motherfucker right here

I haven't read through the entire thread, so I don't know if it's been said before but...
The alert messages that alt-tabs down your programs or games. My wireless retarded mouse usually does this to tell me I need to change batteries soon, and by soon I mean several hours later.
A lot of retarded virus programs also does this.
Which brings me to my second point, the retarded virus program that itself acts like a fucking virus. Fucking McAfee. This is the most retarded virus program I know. I made the poor decision of installing it once since it came with my computer. Not only does this retarded program alt-tab your games and programs to do its forced virus searches, you can't fucking uninstall this terrible piece of garbage program. Even if you uninstall it, it's still fucking there. It takes a fucking computer wizard to remove this cancerous tumor or a program.
It really pisses me off how pretty much every laptop comes with either McAfee or Norton installed. It makes me sad, and it makes me rage at the same time

Printers themselves are assholes

Try a HP laptop then.
I'm amazed by how much shovelware they've managed to cram onto the HDD :geno:
I'm going to go with Windows randomly rebooting to install updates EVEN THOUGH I SET IT TO ASK ME BEFORE INSTALLING.

This is why whenever I buy a prebuilt, I immediately reinstall the OS.

That can be changed though.
After all, Windows are mostly used by retards who would NEVER update their computers themselves without being constantly reminded.
Filling every square inch of the whitespace of a website with full length video ads that have no way to pause or mote them. The current record I have so far is getting six of them going on a single web page at once.
That's why my old 300w JBL speakers are rectangular, heavy and encased in wood.
No force known to man can knock them down. They make the windows shake when they put out some bass.
At 1/3rd of the power.

Putting them at half of their power would make them try to draw BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD :black101:

Actually I didn't know that, I thought it could only be opened as far as the picture showed. Thanks for telling me that and not treating me like an idiot :3:
I just totally disassembled one some ~5 minutes ago.. It took 10-15 min. even with the green plastic-shit. 5 screws in total, two in the PSU, two in the motherboard and one from some sort of bracket attached to the PSU.

Windows wants to restart way too fucking often for my taste.

Try mounting a heatsink half the size of my head with 2 of the fucking screws under the fan.

It used to be worse back in times before windows XP and 2000.
I think it was that bad that it would ask you to restart just to change the screen resolution or other settings.

It's not too bad, in my opinion. I hope it'll improve in Windows 8, though.

Windows 98 had to restart after you changed your IP address within a local network :v:
Windows 7 and XP only ask to restart nowadays after installing updates and some drivers.
And for asshole design, I'm gonna throw in bloated drivers (and software in general) if it hasn't been mentioned. I mean seriously, do my HP Printer drivers need to be over 500mb? And why is it that instead of programs improving over time, they simply become slower and more memory hungry (Adobe Reader, Windows Live Messenger, Windows Media Player, iTunes, Azureus, to name a few)?

Because the average Joe has a more powerful computer now, and wont complain as long as they can watch one youtube video while using those programs.
So the software companies can get away with sloppy and inefficient programming.
Well let's see.
I have 40 back-up DVDs on my desk. All of them are full. 40*4.7 = 188 GB
I paid 25$ for a stack of 100 DVDs back in '08. Find me a <12.50$ flash drive that can contain 188 GB of data :colbert:
I'd rather spend a bit more money so I don't have to go through 40 dvd's when shit goes wrong, not to mention that dvd's aren't probably the most reliable thing

While thats precisely why, it's still an asshole move. We have super powerful computers now, so we should be doing everything faster, not at the same speed because of shitty programming.

That's life bro, I don't like it either.
Thankfully there's some lightweight alternatives, such as uTorrent or foxit pdf reader.
Still a dick thing to do shit like that though.

Oh god, reminds me of when my dad tried to reinstall his HP laptop
Obviously some HP junk wizard shit had to pop up (Since obviously, normal windows CDs wouldent work)
It was in fucking german
sumatrapdf's bright yellow eyefuck default background. I rarely even see it, but when I start it by accident for some reason (fucking launchy detecting "uto" as "Sumatra PDF" :argh:) it's like "WHOAH HEY LOOK AT ME I'M A BRIGHT MOTHERFUCKER HOPE YOU REMEMBERED TO TURN THE LIGHTS ON"
hp printers are AWFUL
what jackass though it would be a good idea to put the ink nozzles ON THE CARTRIDGES THEMSELVES?
ugh fuck every time i replace the ink it has to recalibrate the ink nozzles because the cartridge holders have some give in them. AND THEN IT FAILS THE ALIGNMENT SO YOU GET SHIT QUALITY SMUDGED PAPER
MAKE THE NOZZLES A PERMANENT PART OF THE PRINTER JESUS FUCK

God, motorola is dumb. First, they make the milestone with a qwerty, and a shitty D-pad, then they release the milestone 2.
