I love how my 1995 Commodore which is completely stock, has an AUX in and has no problems playing my iPod through the speakers, whereas a surprising number of new cars cant :buddy:
When I bought my car (used '99 Eagle Talon), I swapped out the cassette player for a new CD player. It includes an aux in, should I ever get an iPod or something, but it also plays MP3 data CDs. 700MB of music is surprisingly large - I can fit the soundtrack to the first nine Zelda games, including both the NES and Famicom versions of the original, on one disk. A band's entire discography usually takes only two disks. And since I have several dozen CDs in my car, I think I probably have over a day's worth of music available.

Just CD. And its one of those crappy radios that are integrated right into the dashboard design which would probably making putting in an aftermarket headunit a total pain in the ass to do. Honestly, its just penny pinching if you can't even design a AUX port into a modern car.
a fucking $15,500 ford fiesta has aux, usb, AND automatic bluetooth link with your cell phone
Aeropeek. Many may argue and disagree, but Windows+D works much better.
Then turn it off!
I wonder whose idea it was to give the US people such a shit sized enter key. UK layout is so much better.
you have a better enter key, we have a better everything else your shift key blows fucking nuts, so does that shitty key next to the Z. also there are too many fucking keys next to the L and the "@" symbol has way more flow when it's the alternative key for the number 2 point, set, match, bitch. edit: also what the fuck is the pound key (not the monetary value, fags) doing over near the enter key i mean holy shit edit 2: also your tilde key is in the wrong spot
If your car has a tape deck, pick up one of these bitches, plug the "CD" end into your iPod, Zune, Clip, what have you, and press play on both. TADA, AUX in!
i never understood how the fuck those worked, what the hell is it some sort of magical tape or something
snip
i never understood how the fuck those worked, what the hell is it some sort of magical tape or something
I think it sends back the light signals the tape player's trying to get to convert to sound or something. If I knew how tape decks worked I'd give you a more sensible answer than that.
I think it sends back the light signals the tape player's trying to get to convert to sound or something. If I knew how tape decks worked I'd give you a more sensible answer than that.
Pretty sure the tape is magnetic, I guess they put an electromagnet in there.

The converter tapes just convert your audio signal into a magnetic one which they send into the tape recorder reader head. (Normally a magnetized tape runs by that head) Also, 3d tv's dont work like a 3ds because you cannot split the images each eye would be getting on that great a distance very well. Moving a bit to either side would fuck up the image. Current 3d tv's have shutter glasses which block off each eye 50 times a second allowing only the right image to pass trough.
wanna see what happens when I try to normally type "Oranges" on my aspire one? öranges"" no, I have to hit "" twice, then move back and type inside the quotation marks. also goes for the other vowels. the keyboard on this thing is absolute bullshit
i never understood how the fuck those worked, what the hell is it some sort of magical tape or something
The really cheap versions have a tape write head in the "magic tape", sending audio signals to the tape read head in the tape deck.
For everyone complaining about cars not having USB plugs, either buy a 12 volt USB outtake, or a radio with USB support. They're really not that expensive.

"Oranges" The keyboard on this is just fine. Before anyone says I have small hands or something; Putting the tip of my middle finger on one side, the bottom of my palm hits the other edge of the keyboard. Lengthwise.
Except that just supplies power. I'm assuming people want one to plug their iPod directly into the car.
Oh. Well a hardware store near me sells a cheap-o Denver Autoradio that plays MP3's off USB devices (Don't know about iPods with their funky system for transferring files and all that) and MMC/SD cards. It's also got AUX-IN and the usual FM/AM radio. No cd/tape player though, but that also means it's only half as deep as a normal autoradio. Possibly late and offtopic but. Nothing annoys me more than this fucking message popping up in the heat of a battle. I understand that you need decent cooling for Nvidea cards but I cant live inside a fucking freezer.
What card do you have? If it's old Fermi I can understand but otherwise you shouldn't have cooling issues even with stock coolers
What card do you have? If it's old Fermi I can understand but otherwise you shouldn't have cooling issues even with stock coolers
Nivdea 9800GTX. Its aged really well, just a shame that the fucking display drivers crash every so often.
I've got the same problem, but I've got a ATI.

oh god tell me about it
this style pci-e release levers: THEY NEVER RELEASE THE CARDS!!! :argh:
The ones where you have to push with a tiny screwdriver are even worse. The popping sound they make makes me think I broke the card in half every time :byodood:
The popping sound they make makes me think I broke the card in half every time :byodood:
This is how I feel every time I do anything with any card in my computer.
