I handled the funny, you do the friendly.
That, and you have to buy a new fucking TV every 3 months because a new spec comes out, it's also destroyed the monitor market in a sense, every fucking thing has to be 1920x1080 just so fucking manufacturers can stick a shitty HDMI 1.1 Port on it, Remember when they used to be fucking 2560x1600? We've fucking degraded in technology because of shitty HDMI.
Agreed 1000%
Oh wow, it's HD! That's.... actually less than the monitor I've had for about the last half decade.

I really hate HDTVs, OH WOW YOU HAVE A 50 INCH 1080p TV, MY 22 inch monitor is 1080p too and you could have bought like 10 of them for the price you paid for that.
You guys make me feel like even more of an idiot for buying this 32" TV... I was upgrading from a 32" TV though...

My monitor is higher res than all of the 7 tvs in my house.
[editline]3rd April 2011[/editline]
and it's only 1680x1050
[editline]3rd April 2011[/editline]
Saying "22 inch monitor" doesn't mean much. The res of that screen could be anything. although its not likely to be 800x600, its always possible
My laptop I use every day is 16ish" and has 1920x1080. My desktop monitor is 22" and 1680x1050. It's a HUGE difference when I go behind my desktop for once.
That said; it might not be an asshole design move, but I always have problems with DVD drives and printers. Especially printers. Hell, installing the official drivers makes it even worse.

Its kind of nice to have a big TV if your couch/chair is far from it, but being large on crappy resoloutions would look utter crap
Most people just brag like shit about it though
The fuck are you talking about? I do practice emergency landings with full fuel all the time in flight school. And since when do you have to remove and sell the fuel? Top of the tanks, we're all good to go. You must be high or something.
What type of aircraft are you talking about? I fully fueled 747 can't land straight away because of the weight of a fuel - if you've ever refueled an aircraft of the type it sinks because of the weight of the fuel in the fuselage, you have to circle a few times to dump or use up fuel to land.
[editline]3rd April 2011[/editline]
If your talking about Military aircraft then yeah you don't have too, commercial is all about safety and efficiency and using the least amount of fuel to get to A to B where as Military is all about using as much fuel as possible to get to A to B.

Yeah, we bought a 32" flatscreen last year, simply because a 42" would just be stretching the shit even more. And if we wanted the same picture quality, we would just have to move ourselves away from the screen... And there goes the purpose of a bigger screen.
I have this shitty unknown brand cheap ass keyboard. The Num/Caps lock LED as so fucking bright, at night if its pitch black in my room , there will be this huge glow of green on the ceiling. Its like trying to sleep next to the bat-signal.

Poorly installed software in school/college. If the network has a slight blip in connection in our college while you are trying to save work it crashes the program and corrupts the back up.
[editline]3rd April 2011[/editline]
Probably mentioned. Websites that have the download link as some small as hyper link/button and a giant fake advert with a 'Download' button.
put some electrical tape over the LED or turn off your PC at the power outlet
I know I ruined my Fallout 3 disc like that
Same happened here, except with an Orange Box disk and it was still playable!

At least it has more than one USB port....*Looks at Macbook Air*
Ruined my mw2 (shut up) disc that way. It didn't work playing from the disc, but it detected it as the game. Borrowed a friend's copy, installed it on my HDD, I can now play with a scratched disc.

Sony Vaio notebook hard drive removal... Whoever had the bright idea to place the hard drive deep inside of the notebook and require you to disassemble the whole damn thing just to get down to this guy for something like data recovery is infuriating.

Why can't all laptop manufacturers get it right and have the common sense to place the commonly accessed components like RAM, HDD, DVD/RW, on the back with a single panel to cover them like Dell?

At least Dell knows that it's gonna break easily and makes my job as a technician that much easier.

for god's sake this
What's worse is the sites that make the download button ridiculously hard to find. Whenever I download something from 4/2share (I can't remember which one) I spend literally minutes looking for the download button. At least Rapidshare, which laughs at you by making you wait 15 minutes before you can download a file while sporting an 'anti waiting company' banner has a pretty big 'Slow Download' button that you can actually see.

Wanna know something fun?
HP isn't THAT much of a dick.
I can replace the wireless card, ram, hdd and BIOS battery by unscrewing 4 screws and opening a service "flap".
The optical drive is held in place in a "caddy" that can can be removed by unscrewing one screw and sliding the caddy out.
No need to remove afromented service flap.

I had to take apart a HP mini the other day, the RAM access is easy as hell, press a slider and the cover is off. To access the HDD it's necessary to take out the keyboard, but even that is pretty easy. About 3 screws.

It's even worse when some ad people make a false download button under a banner ad, fitting the site's color scheme.
I fucking downloaded a registry repair program
