the arrow as in the arrow that expands the tray to reveal the extra icons. or you can right click the clock.

Why not use three list boxes and move buttons instead a clusterfuck of drop-down boxes? Or an array of checkboxes?

That last feature is awesome - can't count how many times I've used the old one and have forgotten to turn mute off on my microphone.

They stopped including all the discs because it'll force people to buy all upgrades from them and have it installed by them.

Several companies don't include back up discs anymore because it SAVES THEM MONEY. Not because the retail store wants to make you spend more money.
Instead of HP printing a million recovery discs, they can just tell their users to do it themselves (which many computers ask the first time you start them up) and that saves them a ton of money.

I'm not sure. I'm not an average user in terms of that since I always have a method of reformatting. I believe Microsoft themselves stated that using an iso of windows is perfectly fine as long as you own a valid CD Key.

This is probably more of a bug than a design decision but anyway, in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood if you reset a mission, the music won't play during that mission again even if you restart the game. It's annoying, since with badass music in the background I tend to do everything stylishly and strut around like a badass but without music I just crossbow everyone

Electronic devices that just have to leave a bright-as-the-sun led on when you turn them off. Yes, I quite like the blue and red suns illuminating my bedroom. I have to pull the plugs off and they're not in an easy-to-reach place.

In San Fransisco they have self-cleaning public toilets. After each use it completely rinses the toilet seat and then blow dries it, which additionally makes the seat warm. It was wicked cool when I went out west to visit.
