Reminds me of the vans they put the bins in to go dispose of them
They're all pink and nice looking with a flower on the back
And the back window has this on it

Didn't you know?
Tampons are T-Virus replenishers.
Having to re-download the whole iPhone OS just to have "Security fixes"
iTunes telling me to update my firmware, even after I pressed the "Don't ask again" checkbox
Talking about IOS. Is it worth upgrading from 4.2 to 4.3?
I'm using a jailbroken 4th gen iPod touch
So I want to clean my Model M keyboard that I got from my school's e-waste pickup day. I pop off all the keycaps (Fucking awesome design right there), then I decided that I should take the back off.
I grab my screwdriver with all the bits, flip over the keyboard and see that it doesn't have screws, it has bolts... As awesome as that is, what was wrong with screws?

I had the exact same problem, it hurts me knowing that theres still 20 years of filth wedged under the keys where I cant get at it. It also needs a special tool to open it, not a regular spanner, and I'm pretty sure its awkward to buy one.

From a quick eBay search, I need a 7/32" Nut Driver, which is about $10. Since I got the keyboard mostly cleaned, I guess I'll be fine for the time being.

The feminine hygene products aren't anything like a big problem, unless it somehow ends up on the bottom of the seat.
First of all, glittter glitter GLITTER GLITTER GLITTER. Twice this year, I've had to bring in a vacuum to clean it all up. And then there's the part where the counters usually are plastered with soap, god knows how. And motherfucking TOILET PAPER ALL OVER THE FLOOR. It's like they don't know how to use some that has a little left from the previous piece.
Oh, and here's a special FUCK YOU to everyone who uses toilet paper to make a seat and don't flush it.

This is the exactly the same when I had to clean up the womens bathroom in mcd, toilet paper EVERYWHERE.
Whoever programmed the power management on my laptop needs to be SHOT. I haven't figured out whether it's the OS's fault or some bloatware power manager Asus added, but whoever did needs a 7.62mm lobotomy.
It works just fine, most of the time. I can switch between "high performance", "power saver" and "balanced", and can tweak each of them. It also changes when I unplug, and when I plug back in.
HOWEVER, there is one thing I absolutely hate. It only detects changes in plug status when it's completely on. If I sleep the computer, then unplug it, it not only refuses to notice that I've switched from mains to battery power, but whatever is in charge of changing screen brightness completely crashes, so it's stuck on whatever brightness setting it was at when I slept it. Since that's normally "full power", which drains my battery in about half an hour, I end up toggling the entire backlight whenever I don't immediately need to see the screen. Since I usually just listen to my music collection (still haven't found an affordable MP3 player that can fit 26GB and rising), that's tolerable, but only barely.
Sounds similar to this:

It's Asus, too.

It does sound similar, but I think I'm going to blame Microsoft for this one. I just checked, and I uninstalled Asus's bloatware power manager (Power4Gear XPress, IIRC), so I'm just using Vista's default.
VISTAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!
My Eee PC's "Super-Hybrid Engine" is actually pretty good... I can squeeze at least 11 hours out of the battery with it. (11 hours being the record so far, it's been rated to long as last as 13 hours)
I would magically give you the better power manager since it's actually GOOD paired with Windows' default, but I ain't no wizard. :smith:

Refurbished Zune classics :buddy:
Oh, this whole laptop power management reminds me of something. For some odd reason, when I had Ubuntu on my laptop it'd spin the fans 24/7 and rev up when I opened something more intensive than idling.
Now that I installed Fedora, it only spins the fan when it needs to and yet the temps are only 5c higher :v:

Well, my battery is ~2 years old, so it only charges to ~70% capacity. And my laptop is high-spec (for a two-year-old laptop): Core 2 Duo @ 2.26gHz, 4gb RAM, and a GeForce 9600. It can run Crysis at decent enough settings, something mutually incompatible with long battery life.
Also windows not allowing you to associate extensionless files to anything. Had to add a key in the registry to be able to open them in notepad without having to re-select it in the OPEN WITH pop-up menu. They should just have made notepad open extensionless files by default, unless you do right click - open with.

Notepad++ adds a context menu entry "Open With Notepad++", which I find useful for extensionless files.

I highly recommend it
HP marketing imposed firmware limitations
on some rp24xx systems may prevent you
from successfully adding a second CPU.
For example, an rp2430 is limited by
marketing to 1 CPU and 2 GB RAM,
even though you could put a second CPU
and more RAM in it. (Which would make
it equivalent, IIRC, to an rp2470 ?)
By "limited" I mean that the machine
may refuse to bootup, possibly stopping
during POST. (I haven't tried it.)
Remember the HP Way? Marketing didn't :(
Wow, HP. Dick move. Majorly dick move.
if you compare the original Macintosh to the Lisa there's a gigantic dick move when it comes to accessibility. The Lisa took about a minute to completely disassemble while the Mac took a LOT longer.

also any car stereo that has compression enabled and can't disable it. More common in cheap japanese cars and cheap third party units of about ten years ago.
