I just set it to four hours if I'm actually doing something.
except for the times where it's all "I'm going to restart in five minutes, and you're not allowed to postpone it".

According to Apple all their laptop batteries are rated for >1000 charge cycles. I can't help but feel a little :smug: about it.

Wasn't there a thread in the Apple section with a person's MBP discharging way too fast? Can't help to feel a bit :smug: about it.
[sp]Point is, doesn't work that way.[/sp]

I've read posts about people's Macbook Pros having 90% capacity after one year, try that with a HP or Dell. Sure it varies from laptop to laptop, but the majority of Macbook owners experience great capacity retainment.
I actually totally killed anything related to Windows Update
It gets rid of the fucking "restarting in 5 minutes faggot" messages, but that "Restart now or get crashed in any game later" dialog lives its own life

Well, I get about the same battery life on my laptop, that I did a year ago. Depends on how you use it, but I really haven't felt any loss in battery performance, yet. And why do you instantly assume that Apple uses better batteries? Not that I have any evidence against it, but have you got anything to back it up? Apple gets most of their parts from Foxconn, and if they can cheap out there, why won't they anywhere else?

Because that guy said his laptop is 3 years old and retains 30% charge and my laptop is 3 years old and retains 90% charge, thats all really.

Single case, maybe?
just 30%?! Jesus christ! my battery is nearly 3 years old and still charges to 93%.
3 years, probably an estimated 500 cycles by now. I've had to rely on the battery far too often and I use this all the time as I have no desktop.
It's done it's due and is ready to die.
EDIT: Hell it's probably a memory more than anything, the poor thing has had to be charged from half or more so many times to keep up with me. It's incredibly unfortunate, but oh well.
Excel not having a separate option to add vertical & horizontal error bars. Now you add vertical ones, and the horizontal ones are huge so you select those and you can adjust them. Sometimes though you set them too small, so they're too small to select again so you have to start all over again.
Also, the standard data point in a chart in Excel is this huge fucking blue diamond, why not a simple black point???
Also, big one coming up:

What is with Youtube and their multiple player skins anyway? why arn't they all the same?
I'm looking at the HTC Aria.
It looks really nice, and AT&T has it for free with a minimum data plan and a 2 year contract. Well, it's refurbished, but hey, it has a 90-day warranty so if something's wrong with it I can just get another. Or something. Right?
Kind of a bad idea. The Aria has really low specs and 15 dollars for 200 mb of data is bad. It'll constantly connect and unless you upgrade your plan to a more costy one, you'll go way over your 200 mb.
When people use summer, winter, etc. to define a time in the year instead of using Q1-4. Especially when video game developer do it.
Theres different seasons on different parts of the worlds god damnit.

The specs aren't an issue for me. Not like I'm going to do anything super extensive with it...
But since you mentioned the data plan and explained it....
I don't know what to do. My parents refuse to go with anyone else.

Not to mention Apple have the best warranty for batteries and dead pixels I've ever seen, but you kinda expect that for the price they charge.

I think someone explained this as it's because the video is VBR meaning it can't predict the bitrate of the entire video, so it has to estimate how much is buffered.

Activating the in-game "Safe Mode" will result in a seventy-five percent increase in FPS with absolute zero loss of any visuals whatsoever. The issue is that the Russian Devs said "fuck optimizing" and the end result was a game that can bring overclocked graphics cards to their knees. The most egregious thing is that apparently most of the processes in-game going on in the background is shit related to other platforms, and are usually removed altogether when you optimize the game for a specific platform.
It's almost like the released version is a fucking pre-beta copy of the game. :argh:

In the Toy Story videogame, there was a mission where you had to kill a boss who had some cannon and you were fighting him on an elevator. When you had a that time fast computer ( around 2002-3-4 ) it was practically IMPOSSIBLE to kill that fucker. Then, when I played the game with a friend who had a computer from like 1998, no problem.
TL;DR, you couldn't defeat a boss, thanks to you having a fast computer. How retarded is that?

I had this game but my saves were never kept, so I always had to do huge afternoon marathons to get somewhere
I played that game on the PS1.
I have to say, it followed the movie pretty well, as far as I remember.
My memory's a bit hazy from that part of my childhood, probably due to being a kid and running into shit and spinning around torturing my brains.
Holy shit I'm gonna look for my disk, time to finally finish that game
