They cant, you posted a picture of a general thing, with the normal way of batteries, then a picture of a battery charger, where the batteries NEEDS to be like that, since they dont need them serially anyways (they need the contacts from every battery to charge them, not two from all the batteries to together), most other devices do

That's one nice thing about my Eris. Capacitive buttons, but the send, end, and scroll wheel are physical so they give you some space to be able to grip it in landscape.

Agreed. I may like blue and all but there's no fucking reason to put LEDs on a device that are so bright you can see them from fucking SPACE. My PC case has LEDs like that, I finally just put sticky-tack over them.
