In the context of Portal 2.
In the context of Portal 2, "smooth jazz" was the funniest genre of music to deploy as if it were a military weapon.
"Classic rock will be deployed in three, two, one"
"Country music will be deployed in three, two, one"
"Baroque fugue will be deployed in three, two, one"
"Death metal will be deployed in three, two, one"
"Polka will be deployed in three, two, one"
"Upbeat J-Pop will be deployed in three, two, one"
"Classic showtunes will be deployed in three, two, one"
See? The joke just doesn't work with them.
"Smooth jazz will be deployed in three, two, one"
Now THAT is comedy gold right there.

Activating the in-game "Safe Mode" will result in a seventy-five percent increase in FPS with absolute zero loss of any visuals whatsoever. The issue is that the Russian Devs said "fuck optimizing" and the end result was a game that can bring overclocked graphics cards to their knees. The most egregious thing is that apparently most of the processes in-game going on in the background is shit related to other platforms, and are usually removed altogether when you optimize the game for a specific platform.
It's almost like the released version is a fucking pre-beta copy of the game. :argh:
sorry for the late reply but what do you mean by "safe mode"
Do you mean starting windows in safemode and launching the game will result in better performance? (I don't think you mean that)
How do I access this "Safe Mode" with a steam copy of Metro 2033
Reminds me of this one I took

Where's the joke? You're aware that there's a delay on the list of users viewing the thread, right? So if he was banned while viewing the thread, he'll show on the list for a while. Happens all the time.
Steams offline mode being 150% fucked, and non-functional. Leaving me locked out of games that i paid good money for. When you buy a game, you should also have access to the binary files of the game so you can run it without logging into the shit-fest that is steam (even though i love steam i still talk ass about it)

Steam is one of the best programs ever made for computers, but I agree so much.

Offline mode worked last time I tried, but that was like 2 updates ago. Maybe they broke it again.
I love steam, but it does crash a lot. I hate gfwl with a passion.

I've run offline mode on my laptop for months without problems.

Youtube's search box.
If you hover over the ad about 30px below, the search box loses focus.
Click search box
Move mouse out of the way (on to ad)
Start typing
Realise it's not actually doing anything
Repeat about 4 times.

Install AdBlock. Never see an AD for the next two years.
One design flaw I noticed is that when a window pops up(be it an installer or a warning or anything) and you're typing, you usually press a key and the popup closes and does whatever the fuck it wants.
Happens to me all the time, once I was typing when something finished installing and it proceeded to restart itself because I pressed a random letter on my keyboard.
