Things like this make me wish more and more that Apple went down on 9/11 and not the WTC.
I think everybody would have wanted to let Apple go down (or any company for that matter), instead of the WTC.
Games for Windows Live is an asshole design move. Sure, something like that might work on a console -- NOT on a PC.
Aside from the bad things everybody already knows about it, there's also this:
I've made a little tool that helps me sync savegames with Dropbox, but I can't find the fucking savefiles for Fable 3 anywhere. Just about everything stores it in Documents somewhere, a few games my store it in AppData. But I can't find anything that even remotely resembles savedata for Fable 3.
Does any game other then solitaire actually use the built in savegames folder that comes with windows 7?
Just checked my folder. Crysis 2 and and AC: Brotherhood saves are there.

Good ol' Zune Classic
It's as thick and heavy as a brick but they're really, really cheap.
If you throw it at someone, he'll probably not survive so it can be considered a good self-defence weapon too :buddy:

The article said 3 years old, not 13 years old. It's weird that they were trying to get him to buy the expensive version of Snow Leopard, the $30 version should work.

Profit, pure and simple.

shut up, the post hardly makes sense to start with and it's such a retarded opinion that it just needs to be buried

I googled it, apparently the intel macs were introduced in about 2007, also note the *may*.

Old TV's that can't switch the input without a remote. Now I can't watch my DVDs!

You probably can, you just haven't figured out how to yet... Unless it doesn't have video modes, then even with a remote you would be screwed.

I hate iTunes itself. Except for the mini-player, I like it.

How do those stores even work? Is the whole thing underground?
Yep, That particular store is quite large inside, that one is in NYC. I love how this thread was doomed to be laced with apple hatred :v:

I can't change the output volume of my satellite TV decoder. It only works with LG televisions. :v:
"Headphone jacks"
I've used headphones as microphones before. So in that case, they are technically headphone jacks.
But I see what you mean.

If you use a a headphone as a microphone and plug it in a headphone jack (or stereo audio output) nothing wil happen.

Although the very first time I used it a few years ago, I didn't know it would do that. I was checking my email and then suddenly:

I know it's sarcasm, that's why I retaliated, with sarcasm. But you're Swedish, you'd not understand. Same goes to wingless who is a kangaroo.

On that note, adding little flags next to posts was pretty funny, means I can stereotype everyone I reply to. yay.
Outlook Web Access. I have to go on it to forward my email to my real email every quarter and you have to use IE to do it since Microsoft are idiots and make a limited version of it for other browsers (without telling you that's what is going on) so I felt like a complete idiot when I couldn't find the place to forward all the email. I even look up guides. Nowhere on any guides or on the access page itself does it ever tell you this crucial bit of information.

Also, Ontario, California. I got a bit confused when I read Ontario, CA, US in my UPS tracking details. I thought they maybe had flown it up to Canada (not far from me since I'm in Washington (well Ontario is, but whatever))
Rate me dumb if I'm late (or late if I'm late), but I tried to get the size of a whole bunch of files in a Mac using the 'Get Info' option. Anyway, I decided it was best to just shut it down after that.
Also, the lack of any sort of 'cut and paste' function in Finder (most probably late on this one too). I mean, not a huge issue, as you can just drag-and-drop files, but it's something that's so simple to implement. What's worse is how people try to justify it:
Because 'cutting' a file makes no sense. If you are wanting to move it, just drag the file to the new location. The Mac OS was the first publicly used GUI to use a desktop interface with files and folders. When you move a real paper file on your real desktop that you are sitting at, you don't "cut" and then "paste" it, you pick it up with your hand and move it to the new location. So Apple designed the GUI the same way, you pick up the file by click and holding, then move it by dragging.
Ugh.
Windows has its fair share in stuff like this, though.
