No, mine was a Logitech G500. Which, mind you, I loved the hell out of, but that noise was driving me crazy so I just got a G9x instead, which, mind you, is crazily expensive for what it is.
A lot (most) of the Logitech/high end mice have the problem and they refuse to try and ask the manufacturer to fix it because they're cheap cunts, it's just not audible at arms length for most.

Mine doesn't make the noise, I know it doesn't because a mates mx518 does and I can hear it from ~2 arm lengths away

I can only hear my MX518 if i press it against my ear.
The charger for my mx revolution emits a high pitched noise when you are not charging annything with it. I always thought it was a power saving feature so you pull out the adapter when you are done.

My cellphone emits sounds only if the speaker is firmly lodged into place, so sometimes you have to squish that part with your tumb if you want to hear shit. Even the ringtone, so vibration is a must.
But hey, with the amount of dangerous bullshit that phone went through, it's a miracle if it still works. And quite well if I must say.

All this was installed, too, including NORTON INTERNET SECURITY and some Zynga malware - it kept shortcuts on the desktop and quick launch bar. If you deleted them they would come back.
