I have asrock motherboard. not yet installed.
My motherboard software. Oh okay I'll just click install all to install all the drivers! NOPE. All this was installed, too, including NORTON INTERNET SECURITY and some Zynga malware - it kept shortcuts on the desktop and quick launch bar. If you deleted them they would come back.
And that's why I always download the drivers from their website instead.
Hard to do without an internet connection!
Now where have I heard this before?

Hard to do without an internet connection!
And that is why you always have a NIC handy
Hard to do without an internet connection!
Just install the LAN drivers then. Then work your way up on the website.
Pepper;30081825']And that is why you always have a NIC handy
So rather than install the drivers from the disk, I should install a PCI NIC, download the drivers, remove the PCI NIC, install the new drivers, and be set? no thanks [editline]27th May 2011[/editline]
Just install the LAN drivers then.
Just install the LAN drivers then. Then work your way up on the website.
It installed Norton anyways, so he'd need to do a clean install to get rid of it Of course you can do that but its still fucking retarded
So rather than install the drivers from the disk, I should install a PCI NIC, download the drivers, remove the PCI NIC, install the new drivers, and be set? no thanks.
It's more like install NIC, download and install new drivers, when it wants you to restart shut down and remove NIC Done
Or just get the drivers from another pc like dang.

You can install just the things you want, or everything (the default). So I can install the NIC drivers, an outdated copy of the GPU drivers (good enough to get stuff rendering fast), and maybe some of the actually useful bundled software (the fingerprint-scanner login, for instance). It even has an uninstall option, so I can remove the crappy software if I accidentally let it install everything.

I rarely use those driver discs now.
I left before that fad picked up, I believe.
I'm listening to the hardest button to button and the drumming goes along perfectly with your avatar. [editline]27th May 2011[/editline] Also hate the way it is impossible to fucking program this universal remote.
I rarely use those driver discs now.
I have one 4Gb memory stick with windows 7 64 on it. And another with drivers for each of the computers in the house. Reinstalled and completely set up with the assistance of ninite in ~40 mins.
Now where have I heard this before?
You're begging the question.
i use driver disks because its easier to tell my driver utility to update itself rather than go hunting for specific drivers on the internet

When I installed Win7 way back on my Pentium 4 machine, it took 1.5 hours, just copying files from the DVD. At least it ran perfectly fine on 1 GB of RAM.
You know what's an asshole design move? Steam's insistence on downloading TF2 again and again, despite me not playing the game in over a year, and never trying to install it. I'm guessing it thinks GMod uses TF2 content or something, but other than that, no idea why it keeps downloading it. I never play it. In fact, I usually only notice it's been downloaded when I'm clearing space on my hard drive.

To solve, launch GMod and tell it to stop mounting TF2 content.
Motherfucking multitouch track pad from HP. Why give me the hardware and disable the configuration through drivers. FUCK YOU. On another note, can anyone recomend a wireless mouse for under 30 after tax and shipping? Preferably with a forward and back button. I've been looking at this: http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-5BA-00001-Explorer-Mini-Mouse/dp/B001F7ARTQ/ref=sr_1_19?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1306556616&sr=1-19 http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Wireless-Rechargeable-Laser-Windows/dp/B0011FCV8W/ref=sr_1_36?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1306557037&sr=1-36 http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-910-001822-Wireless-Mouse-M510/dp/B003NR57BY/ref=sr_1_7?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1306557594&sr=1-7
Logitech is probably the best, because of Unify
What is unify? Nevermind Gonna go with the m510.
50$? Hell the check to see if its allowed to be on the road is 50€ here, and the cheapest car to pass that would be around 300€ Everything about cars is cheaper in the US, not fair.
you'd be lucky to find a car that works for less than €1500 here.
windows not telling me if a program crashes on startup. its so annoying when you sit and wait for a program to start when unknown to you, it crashed 3 seconds after you launched it.
Motherfucking multitouch track pad from HP. Why give me the hardware and disable the configuration through drivers. FUCK YOU.
I remember installing a tweaked HP driver on my old Zepto notebook, so the trackpad supported multitouch. Only problem was, that the trackpad was itty bitty, so it was mostly useless. Still nifty though.
Windows Live Games
Microphones on fucking macbooks. Couldn't put them next to the webcam like every other laptop in the world, noooo, that would be stupid. Instead, lets put it next to the keyboard and speaker. Whenever I'm skyping anyone on a macbook all I can hear is whatever they're listening to and every keystroke they make.
