I could just encrypt my network, but why do that when i could have lots of fun
Redirect all his pages to porn.
If they have webcams you can
How the hell does one hijack a webcam of someone on the same network?
how would i redirect them though, how?
Someone needs to walk this guy through doing these things.
Kill him.
Actually don't.
I want him to succeed in fucking with this guy. I want to hear the story.
leave the password off and mac filter it

I did this for years, and no more mexicans got on my network. I'm not being racist or stereotyping, i actually had two hispanic computers on my network. One PC was named "madre-lupe" and the other PC was "ricardo-raul".
The MAC filter worked without any further encryption needed.
I was on my WRT54GL v1.1 with DD-WRT v24 Generic.
I wish I knew more about networking :sigh:
Just tell your tech guy.

It's incredibly easy to spoof a MAC address, you should really use WPA2. There's no reason not to.
Or you could not be so stingy. If you don't have a download limit, just make all IP's other than yours have a max speed of like 50kbs
The mac filter doesn't work for all computers, one could easily keep stealing your internet using a pc
Release rats into his house.

How would they know what address to spoof if they can't get on your network?
I tried seeing if I could use my neighbours internet, but it just takes me to some login page for BT
(...) just make all IP's other than yours have a max speed of like 50kbs
Then they can still use it. :|
get a custom firmware on the router and turn the signal waaay down, just enough to cover the house but not escape to the outside
Redirect all his pages to porn.
you say that like it's a bad thing
How the hell does one hijack a webcam of someone on the same network?
Well, you have the persons local ip, so assuming this person were for some reason running say... a vnc server, (which you could see by checking open ports using nmap) you could do a dictionary attack and control their computer. But most windows computers don't have any ports open that you can do some damage with.

O, also, my neighbor used to have an open network so I would just use it as a proxy. Now all the networks around me use wpa so I can't crack it because the macbook pro network card doesn't support packet injection, so I can only crack wep unless I buy a 40 dollar card.

sorry for being dumb but what's mac filtering?
[editline]10:51AM[/editline]
in layman's terms
The mac filter doesn't work for all computers, one could easily keep stealing your internet using a pc
...What?
The mac filter doesn't work for all computers, one could easily keep stealing your internet using a pc
Do you know what a MAC-address is?
seems not like he do :P
get a custom firmware on the router and turn the signal waaay down, just enough to cover the house but not escape to the outside
Or you could just rename your SSID and then disable SSID broadcasting?
how would i redirect them though, how?
the kittenwar thing, just replace the destination IP with that of a porn site. or even better, a shock site.
I found out who it was. It was a my 23 year old neighbor. He's nice though and i don't think he really knew what he was doing. I put a sniffer on and got a full list of EVERY site he visited and printed it out (About 3 days worth) I put them on his door step and said "I'm watching you -Mike" He then came over in a hurry and talked to me and asked how i got all of this information. I said that he had been using my wireless router. He replied saying he thought it was just open to the community. He has his own internet, just no wifi. This guy is really nice so i gave him my old linksys router (I was going to throw it anyways) And now he has his own wifi. I realize i could of done a lot worse but i didn't want him freaking out too much. I encrypted my network and told him to do the same. We are now both happy. I didn't really care about him stealing my internet, just i wanted to know who it was. But i decided i could just give him my old one. Thanks for all the help guys
Have a heart.
