Whats the windows manager your using? theme and all too.
Using my amazing powers of deduction (i.e reading Archey's output) he's using XFCE with Compiz. Dunno about the theme, though.
Installed just yesterday! At the moment it's very basic. Conky looks like shit, I just downloaded a config to make it useful, edited it some more to put in some battery info. The background was found in ten minutes on wallbase.net. The Awesome bar theme hasn't been edited yet, but I will. I've focussed mainly on getting things to work, getting my awesome tags just right, getting the keybinds to work the way I want them to etc. Arch Linux + Awesome WM = god tier. Sadly I don't see many people use awesome anymore. What happened?
Ew. That desktop is so fucking distracting.
Using my amazing powers of deduction (i.e reading Archey's output) he's using XFCE with Compiz. Dunno about the theme, though.
The theme is Equinox (Get it from the AUR) and the Equinox emerald window borders.
Ew. That desktop is so fucking distracting.
If you find grass distracting then you must have a really hard time getting anything done whenever you go outside.
If you find grass distracting then you must have a really hard time getting anything done whenever you go outside.
The colour tone, its really bright I find darker tones make it easier to focus on the task at hand.
The colour tone, its really bright I find darker tones make it easier to focus on the task at hand.
Well, it's a good thing that's not your desktop. Why bother whining about it? :)
The colour tone, its really bright I find darker tones make it easier to focus on the task at hand.
God forbid anyone else use any other colors you dislike. And God forbid anyone else use colors that distracts you as if everyone reacts the same way to colors as you.

Also I am atheist god cannot forbid anything from me :)
Post your desktop I assumed I was allowed to comment on something?
Of course you can comment, for example "Nice, but personally I'd find that background quite distracting." or something similar. Not "Ew. That desktop is so fucking distracting."
Also I am atheist god cannot forbid anything from me :)
It's a figure of speech.
Playing around with light colours. Also making the theme mesh properly with the terminal background:
How do I make Awesome look all jiggy and cool like that? :saddowns:
How do I make Awesome look all jiggy and cool like that? :saddowns:
That's not Awesome, it's XFCE.
That's not Awesome, it's XFCE.
openbox wm with xfce (or just xfce panel)
No, it's full xfce.
Say, what's going on there? :o
that's a common bug in KDE, I'm sure it'll be fixed rather soon.
guys, seriously, jpeg screenshots are depressing use PNG
Why?
Post your screenshots in downloadable TARGA format plz. [editline]17th January 2012[/editline]
Why?
Loss-less compression
Post your screenshots in downloadable TARGA format plz. [editline]17th January 2012[/editline] Loss-less compression
Yes, but a 500-600 KB increase in filesize isn't always worth the barely perceptible difference in image quality.
[img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/dubya.png[/img_thumb] I'm getting there.
Post your screenshots in downloadable TARGA format plz. [editline]17th January 2012[/editline] Loss-less compression
I really hope this is a joke. If not, I'm crying on the inside.

What are you going to do when they shutdown the 10.04 repos.
By that time, I would probably end up using a newer version, or another distro.
but then you will loose gnome 2.23
