Wrote the Conky myself. Simple, nothing too complicated or cluttering. Uninstalled Gnome Panel since AWN does everything. Wallpaper is also mine.
great desktop. not sure it's right for me, but it looks nice.
Wrote the Conky myself. Simple, nothing too complicated or cluttering. Uninstalled Gnome Panel since AWN does everything.
How do you have the bottom dock? Im new to linux. V:
Avant Window Manager (AWN). It's installable through Synaptic, and with heavy tweaking, can look and function less like a dock, and more like a regular panel with extra features.

Do you need to do more than just add a few applets and set it to stretch, in the settings?
Heavy tweaking? Do you need to do more than just add a few applets and set it to stretch, in the settings?
Actually, I think that's pretty much it.
Actually, I think that's pretty much it.
Disabled reflections, setup icon dimensions, panel height, lots of customization settings. It's far from default.
Disabled reflections, setup icon dimensions, panel height, lots of customization settings. It's far from default.
It's still not heavy tweaking. Changing a few variables in the settings menu doesn't mean that you're "tweaking" the program.
Eh, technicalities. You're just picking for the sake of picking.
This is mostly a default #! desktop buuut.. Thanks to LCD for the big clock Conky config :v:

wait, is ham that creep posing as a female?
I'm afraid you're mistaken, I've only posted a few times and hardly anything that scandalous.
Wasn't that Rizzo? He was Pixel Heart after all. v:v:v
Wasn't that Rizzo? He was Pixel Heart after all. v:v:v
All the linux desktops he created as pixel heart, so much effort, why would he do that?
There are some twisted people on the planet...
I was getting tired of dabbling with Ubuntu evey now and then. It was definitely more user-friendly, but I wasn't learning a thing. I decided to install Arch on a VM and try to get gnome running on it.

I really wish they'd improve support for that, but I suppose it would be "bloat" to many.
As stupid as I am with Arch I am surprised I never decided to practice the install on a VM. I should probably do that...
Isn't that an issue with Gnome 3 and hardware acceleration in virtualbox and not arch?
Yep, and it's already been fixed. Same with Unity 3D.
