Fresh arch/windows 7 dual boot. Been meddling around with Ubuntu for a while, got bored and decided to try to install Arch. Already lovin' it. I can't quite seem to get cmus looking right. Any suggestions for a colour scheme? Grey looks kinda dull.

[thumb]http://i50.tinypic.com/2s7xi4g.png[/thumb] Fresh Arch install. I love KDE.
Archey thinks I'm running OpenBox for some reason (I'm running LXDE)
My .xinitrc:
exec ck-launch-session fusion-icon & wmid=$! avant-window-navigator & pcmanfm --desktop & conky & tint2 & wait $wmid
Switched from Arch to Sabayon. Still have some things to fix up in the background, but overall I'm finding portage better.
Vanilla ubuntu (no unity) Custom compiz powered session running only docky and gnome do to launch apps
Archey thinks I'm running OpenBox for some reason (I'm running LXDE)
Openbox IS the Window Manager for LXDE. I got rid of LXDE and replaced it with XFCE on my laptop, I'm still working on the theme so I'll post a screenshot when it's all done :D
Why use Portage in Sabayon? I mean, unless you want to customize something precisely, you should really use an Entropy application, like equo.
Entropy installs the dependencies for all the features, however my comp is quite old and doesn't need support for newer things like bluetooth. Although it seems that there's a lot of things put in that force you to use Entropy over Portage (/etc/make.conf was a huge mess for example), so I might end up using Entropy instead...

They're entirely redundant in awesome. The name is at the top of the screen, and all of the window resizing stuff is either done automatically by tiling or can be done easier with keyboard shortcuts. I really missed titlebars when I first started using awesome, until I found out how much nicer the features of awesome are that replace them.

The titlebar he meant is enclosed within the arrows.

I thought he meant that bar up there at the top. There are no titlebars in awesome. That's by default, I think. That thing there is just a Terminator-specific thingee. Oh. My bad. What is the purpose of it? So if your WM has titlebars, Terminator has two? Ditch Terminator then :P
Oh. My bad. What is the purpose of it? So if your WM has titlebars, Terminator has two? Ditch Terminator then :P
It shows which pane is active if you have more than one up. Also, it contains the menu.
Oh. My bad. What is the purpose of it? So if your WM has titlebars, Terminator has two? Ditch Terminator then :P
Attention! Personal opinion: ditch terminator, and replace it with rxvt-unicode, and a good .Xdefaults
