Fedora 17, just started using it a few days ago as a suggestion from my dad. Having trouble getting WINE to install though, trying through terminal and everything. We might try setting up Virtualbox though.

I'm giving full GNOME 3.4 a try for a while. [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8664592/lolgnomeshell.png[/t] [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8664592/lolgnomeshell1.png[/t] (chromium is what's taking up all my RAM for god knows what reason) Yeah I like the default background, what of it? :v: And yes I'm using the Holo theme
-snip, wrong thread-

Could you tell me how you get that menu bar in the gnome bar? Mine puts it in the active window...
Could you tell me how you get that menu bar in the gnome bar? Mine puts it in the active window...
It's not called a GNOME bar but panel. Right click it. If it wont work try holding your ALT key and right click. Then choose "Add To Panel", you can figure the rest out. And if i misunderstood your question and you meant the dock, well. If it is Avant right click it and go to launchpad. Look for the menu, you can search for it if needed.
Ubuntu 12.04, Cinnamon 1.4, Kernel 3.4 (stable) Runs like a champ. Wallpaper by me HERE
So apparantly it's the Unity 2D panel, how do I get that to be there at all times? And how do I remove it from my window?
Do you mean the white panel on top? Does it automatically hide or do you want it removed?
I'll try to be more clear. The Firefox window has a panel File Edit View Help (something like that). The Unity 2D Panel is exactly the same, except that it is embedded in the Gnome main panel. I want to remove the File Edit View Help thing from my Firefox window and just have it in the Gnome panel change accordingly to the current window that is open (I think Mac OS does this, too).

Well, don't know about the UNITY looks thing. But go to Firefox, right click a blank place on the same panel as "File, Edit View". Then choose "Menu bar". It will show a dropdown menu in firefox instead. [editline]wow[/editline] Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, Cinnamon with the always loved Avant Window Navigator.
My laptop: Linux Mint 13, Cinnamon 1.4, Kernel 3.4 stable. It's come a long way, and uses much less resources than cairo dock.
Who's that lady? is it someone you know?
Who's that lady? is it someone you know?
Nobody i know of, I just thought it was a pretty sunset to be blurred, and used as a wallpaper. :) I found it here: http://thenfirerose.tumblr.com/
I have been lurking this thread for a week, so i thought i'll upload a image myself :) The conkys black background is normally a little transparent, by some reason the import command didn't understand that lol I saw Lyoko774s Holo theme and pretty much fell in love, so downloaded it from DeviantArt I have combined alot of different conkys, works well :) Just can't find a good working weather script :/ The reason why i have a Windows partition is because it's my school laptop (it's ok, a lenovo x100e Amd Neo singlecore 1.6ghz 2gb ram etc.) I havn't used windows in about a month now and i have fallen in love with linux!!! I have been using the command line on my iMac and i have a media/website/minecraft/gmod server im running only via SSH and SFTP so i was already pretty familiar with the command line. Never going to use windows again. Especially not on a laptop, kills both the battery and is slow as F***
Decided to give it a go. It runs pretty well too! Running in ArchLinux with 512M of RAM, it's pretty kewl.
Debian with Compiz.
Debian with Compiz.
Using MATE? Or is it a VERY old Debian with GNOME 2 still in repo? :V
Yes, it's a VERY old Debian with GNOME 2. See the kernel. :v: At least it's not bricking itself without any valid reason. I'd LOVE to test Debian Testing, but...everytime I install it, it cannot recognize my graphics card. :v: And GNOME 3 is shit. But don't worry, for testing out other shit I have my netbook with Arch Linux. :v:
